  1. I would also recommend some intuition liners. They are much warmer than traditional liners and they should help with any fitment issues.
  2. @skihacker hmmm... my trifecta wouldn't include the beach volleyball. I think a better definition would be snow ski, water waterski, and lets just say a more intimate activity.....
  3. @B_S Normally I would wear a drysuit but I really like how the Camaro performs. It's surprising that it keeps me so warm in those temps.
  4. I have had a Camaro Blacktec 1.5MM full suit that I have been using for the last few years and I decided to order the Stokes 3/4 (covers the knees) this year. Yesterday I was skiing in 53* water and I used each suit during my two sets. The biggest difference between the two was how warm I felt. The Blacktec kept me nice and comfy. The Stokes, which is about the same thickness, did not keep me as comfortable and I was on the edge of being uncomfortable. The downside to the Camaro is it's durability. Even with a lot of careful handling I still have small nicks and tears in the fabric. The Stokes is much more durable. I prefer the Stokes in a little warmer water because of its durability. As far as cold water comfort goes you can't beat the Camaro. The Stokes seemed to let a little less water in compared to the Camaro but part of that might be due to the age of the Camaro suit. You can't go wrong with either one. Even though you get wet in the Camaro I prefer that to a baggy drysuit that makes you feel like you wearing a parachute.
  5. I struggle skiing glass. Seems like I lose my perception at the buoy and have a tendency to fall over. I like to see it but I like a little ripple.
  6. Based on the topic heading I would say go to the gym and work out more, but I don't think that is the answer you were looking for.
  7. @sunvalleylaw Fisher Creek is an awesome ride. Enjoy the eclipse. I hope it's not as crazy as they keep saying it will be. Reminds me of Y2K.
  8. @sunvalleylaw We were camping at Alturas about a week ago. Where are you going to camp? I can't imagine it will be easy finding a spot.

    Tower on a 200

@escmanaze I was looking at the factory tower. My intent was to pull a tub from the tower but it sounds like it might not have the strength to pull a large tube which is what I use to pull the kids on. The tower may be a moot point if I can't use it with a tube. Did you notice any wake difference from the added weight?

    Tower on a 200

@bigskieridaho are you out if Boise? @jimski any effect on the wake due to added weight? Does it fold forward or backward? How difficult would it be to remove?

    Tower on a 200

@Horton ya, I almost banned my self for even considering it. @eleeski it's for space especially when pulling a tube
  12. I'm considering putting a tower on a 200. I know, blasphemy. Does anyone currently have a tower and if so I have a couple of questions. Does the weight impact the wake or handling? Second does the position of the tower affect the rope on shorter line lengths? Any other pros or cons to having the tower?
  13. Blows my mind that these are 70K boats and they can't figure out how to make a gas gauge work. Seriously, it's not rocket science.
  14. @sunvalleylaw Which lake is that? We are planning a Redfish trip in August but I know nothing about the lake. Any tips or pointers regarding the lake?
  15. @mbabiash that picture says to me that you need to charge your phone.
  16. So I have sold my slalom ski but I don't have a box to ship it in. I have even called the local outdoor retailers to see if they have any boxes I could have, no luck. Any suggestions on what I should use?
  17. Just curious about some of the worst/least helpful ski advice you have ever received. Mine was from a pro that was coaching me. After watching my ski pass the only thing he said after my pass was, "turn harder". I asked him what he meant by that and he followed up with, "just turn harder". In the back of my mind I was thinking, "Um, ok, I get the general principle but please describe the things I need to do to make that happen." oh, and I was also thinking, how do I get my money back.
  18. I think double panda award winners should also qualify.
  19. I wonder how Suzie would react if someone told her she couldn't spend any money on one of her biggest passions in life, assuming she has any. I'm guessing she would say, "I don't think so!"
  20. @RazorRoss3 that makes total sense. Thanks for the clarification.
  21. @LeonL What do you mean by keep the ski moving? I've heard and thought about that advise and I'm wondering what things prevent the ski from moving other than overturning.
  22. I was skiing yesterday and came around 5 ball and noticed some small rollers. As I finished the turn the ski caught one of the rollers and the binding released. So my questions is based on the video do you think my bindings are set to light. I have used the dock method to check binding tension. If I have some one step on the back of the ski and I jerk forward on the ski the binding will release. It doesn't feel to easy or to hard. I was surprised that the binding released in the turn with such a small roller.
