  1. starting to see a number of real nice ski boats at what I would say is quite a bit lower prices wise as what one would think.
  2. anal people care about grammer and spelling. I learned the three "R's". Readdin, rittin and rithimitic!! like Jethro Bodeene, also dyslexia is real! if memory serves me Malibu has been the title sponsor boat for the Aussi nats for many years now.. outside of the Moomba there really is not a big fan or customer base for the CC/MC in the three event world down under. we had a pretty good start in getting Nautiques main stream in the three event but with Malibu being built in Australia as well as Aussies are notorious for supporting home country built boats it has been a hard sell. not to mention the shipping and duty to get a boat into the country. There! I used spell check!
  3. oh ! jeeze! we have Grammer police too!!!
  4. @Horton lol!! guys first post and say'z you are a tool! Ban him!
  5. @RichardDoane well! way back in the Montana moose country days. Eric was responsible for me taking up trick skiing. I thought if this non athletic person can ride a trick ski... well so can I! Eric and his crew flew up to our site a number of times as well as when he came up he was aways ahead if the curve when it came to waterski and binding development. after he left we always knew what not buy! I jest! over the years Eric and I have somewhat stayed in contact. we can always tell when Eric has been out in the desert to long, his designs and bubble ideas seem to get more and more tumbleweedish.... so in short I would be proud to display one of Eric's works of art in my semi large ski collection. I'll hang it right next my Ricky McCormick un shaped and un drilled , signed Cypress gardens wood trick. if I do win the ski I hope you can get the west coast trick GOAT to sign it for me...
  6. many factors need to be considered on purchasing a exceptionally high hour boat. 1. how was the boat used? 2. how well was the boat serviced and documented? 3.overall condition/trailer? chevy 350 vortec engines have the propensity to cross migrate between cylinders. not to mention the condition of the catalytic exhaust. under water gear will need attention. cutlass bearing as well as rudder port could be slap wore out. steering cable as well as control cables may need replacing. fuel lines? transmission on its last leg normally with those kind of hours. that great deal on a high hour boat may not be such a great deal in the real near future. $$$$$$$
  7. One of the key findings of this study has been a lack of transparency, accountability, and due process by USOPC, governing bodies, and SafeSport,” the report read. “This is detrimental both to the movement and to the millions of Americans who participate in it.” Yep!! more government over site!! Feed me! feed me! deeper corrupt pockets! that's what we need!!
  8. we have a 99 SN in our club getting the 5.7Excalibur/zo treatment. looking forward to skiing it. current two boats we utilize are a 2017 6.2 200 and a 2008 196. both great wakes. I heard about a 200 that recently sold for under $30K (no trailer). Lots of great ski boats out their for sale this spring.
  9. Being a Nanny sport has it's consequences. having to buy into a monopoly to participate in what constitutes safe Sports platform and business efforts. 501C Non for profit with a Marketing dept. saddling in with a government overseen entity and being monopolistic may be against anti trust laws? Seen their advertising, pretty slick highly professional adds and presentations. I wonder what their marketing budget is like?? Going in for a 5th run at the propaganda and indoctrination nanny ideology segment. USAWS and their monopolistic watch dogs require complete re-training every other year. Lucky me it's my year..
  10. @markn thanks for the incite. problem with this younger generation is that they want someone else to make the hard decisions rather then pull there own boot straps up and make these decisions. they have taken on the thought that government needs to make more agency's and create more bureaucrats to oversee these agency's. Blue big government ideology. As for Safe sport, goes back to what was easy because no one in the leadership role has the balls to call out and enforce the congressional reporting mandate. Safe sport was easy as it came as a appendage of the USOC money's. again nothing in the congressional act requires a sport to utilize any overseeing entity's for reporting abuses in a sport.
  11. in some cases a e-control ecm can be less price wise then a older mefi 4. just ordered one for a 19 6.0. I have done some digging on components and this little gem is $250 used. and that's the larger white component shown in this cut away of the gps single reciever . is the actual antenna so to speak.
  12. when this MI law goes into effect, it will come down to enforcement as to how they interpret the law. on one lake the local enforcement may understand the difference between a tanker and a ski boat. 20 min down the road on another lake enforcement will equate the tanker and the ski boat as under the same law.....
  13. @Dano hey! don't buy it! however me being one who works in the towboat industry see and know that there is a market for a new ski boat that does not require one to give up a kidney to afford it. most everyone that are buying these new over priced tugs are not getting what they paid for. these current boats across the full manufacturing spectrum have many defective components and craftsmanship issues and as well as are built thin in many cases. the " leggo" style of building a ski boat leaves a lot to be desired.
  14. hmmm! could a $60k or less three event boat be built???
  15. if Kevin wants to make an impact in the sport, loose the un necessary socialist safe sport requirements. the last guy was nothing more then a government style bureaucrat. hopefully Kevin will bring fresh realistic policy back into the sport.
  16. a number of years ago flying to Australia, radar in sport tube. got their and did not notice wrinkling on the endvofvthe sport tube. got to mulwalla to find my radar looking just like the one pictured above. put the ski back in the sport tube til the return to Florida. when I hit panama city I went directly to the delta counter and filed a damage claim and showed the attendant the dammage.. Delta covered both the ski and the sport tube. the key is getting the damage assessment done in the airport for full coverage.

  18. I guess a better question is what problem are you trying solve? when the culture of the sport is based on anal policy's in the achievement of rankings and records rather then pure competition, the sport suffers as these anal policies drive up the cost to participate. all so some group of elite skiers can get their "score" or record. it seems to me that ski companies would go broke if they had to rely on a dwindling "competition member " customer base. they seem to be doing pretty good selling to non combatants. what's that tell ya? had a pretty funny conversation with the mother of a high end skier when asked me what are "they" going to do about tournaments if malibu pulls out.....??? .... I answered who's they? I know of a repowered 06 MC that will pull a few rds of high end skiing this season . as well as a 08 SN a 14 MC. A 98 SN and many other non overly expensive boats to be utilized in southern region....
  19. https://skidim.com/manifold-exhst-5-7l-port/ it does not include catalytic cartridge or sensors. utilize old cartridge and sensors. comes in three distinct colors. must choose color.. up to 4 week wait as they are not an on the shelf item.
  20. i put my long shot on number 3. only because of the odds..
  21. Hey Tom, I don't think that any numerical trace in conjunction with batch number can be performed. 350 hours 2500 hours is the failure window if they fail...Many more are running in the field then not. I have seen casting's crack around the 02 sensors and have filled orders for manifolds that have cracked internally. mostly the small block chevy units. Who's going to be the first to de-claw their towboat???
  22. https://nautiqueparts.com/windshield-screw-cover-trim-rubber-8-foot-piece/ The rubber insert works better then the foam. the rubber is easier to keep clean and matches the extrusion profile. it also wont shrink nor will accumulate mildew like foam will.
  23. PM me a list of parts they need..Might be able to donate.
