  1. yes the mating surfaces need to be clean and paint free.
  2. you will need to set it with a computer.
  3. 4 months polyform.. sticky as sticky can be..
  4. team seal staying north of hwy 98 this year. Good luck to all the skiers participating at this year US Nationals..
  5. take the wing off. up your physical conditioning as it takes far more strength to make up for the increased drag of skiing slower. droping down from a speed that skiers have skied for 30 years can be tough. the dreded 22 off bump is now at 28 off, wakes incresse in overall size as the boat displaces more water going slower. skis really dont work as well below 34mph . the "experts" say get a bigger ski to ski slower, i say no to that as nothing like trying to fly that bigger board through the bigger wakes at slower speeds then have to try and turn it. older divisions I think would be able to tolerate a slower speed if the speed was not dropped 3kmh or roughly 2mph. with today's rules and speed control it may be time to take a look at speed rules in the sport. maybe drop 2 kph rather then 2 mph. may seem like a small change to mess with but as one of those that are struggling with the speed drop, rather then skiing at 52 kph change the rule to 53 is almost exactly 33 mph and it to me skis closer where the ski and wakes work together without the drag.
  6. when your off shore in an inboard.. however this bag has been around the world many times in my previous life..
  7. the 210 just another tanker designed for hard core sla......... no sorry wake riders!
  8. John dedicated most of his adult life to competitive water-skiing. many drivers and officials owe parts of their success to John, my self included. long time friend, mentor as well as correct Craft / Nautique promo team member. his presence will be missed in the sport. the loss of John in the sport will be a void that can not be filled. prayers of condolence and peace to the Goodman family.
  9. what model 6 liter ? cat or non cat? if it is a cat engine there are 1/8" ? vent plugs on the very top of the exhaust manifolds to bleed off air out of the coolant system. non cat is a bit more time consuming and requires elevating bow of boat and run on hose a couple heat cycles squeezing hoses and allowing air to rise up through the reservoir.
  10. if you took a ride on Kimball fiberglass skis?.
  11. if you own the same boat you learned how to ski with...........in 1965.
  12. jumped on a 12' wide jump.....Texas style!
  13. Very Talented Overall skier too. ask him who taught him his flips! or at least his first flip 😆 tricks over 5k , jumps right at 200 feet... very strong mm/m3/open men overall skier!
  14. I and a boat driver can set our lake up to trick in about 5 min... put the three buoys back in in 5 min.....we do not have a jump... yet! LymanLand takes about... 5 min to change over to tricks and back.. Jump course is incorporated slalom course.. 1 lake site..Home of the Malibu open and 2023 souther regional's it's been my recent experience, we spend more time screwing around with sure path and it's inconsistencies, moving it from boat to boat then setting up for other then slalom.. in my brief stint as a tournament skier , member, judge and driver (45 years ) , I don't think that the ratio of overall skiers to single event skiers ( mostly slalom) has changed. what we have is a drastically reduced pool of membership within the sport over the last 25 years or so. Overall was at the forefront in 80's and early 90's due to TV exposure. and as John commented it takes a lot of commitment as well as ingrained talent to be a Overall skier. how does one get road rash jumping?? Photo courtesy of Reggie! she was my boat judge this last weekend..

  16. that one probably is going to be to hard to track down. I would have to say Masterline hands down with most all records being set on their rope products. D-3 only company building three event equipment. Slalom skis, trick skis and jump skis. probably has the most beans in the jar..
  17. keep in mind after years of testing different propellers on many different Correct Crafts with nearly all engine packages available it has been my preference to utilize 4 blade propellers on three event boats. truly a 3 blade propeller will better enhance acceleration in many cases on most any inboard boat. Ski ability as well as seat of the pants preferences to boats power requirement and engine rpm limits will need to be considered in ones propeller choice. if your working with a week ass hp Ford in a slant back ski Nautique and looking for an exceleration boost or at altitude I would probly run a c&c three blade especially if it pulled jumpers. I run a hand-built Stainless steel 3 blade designed by Eric at Oj for a old inboard go fast boat. for the most part a 4 blade will be a smoother spinning propeller as well as a four blade all but eliminates left hand growl in a Nautique. Shout out to Eric at Oj. still running one of your 4 blades on a 6.2 200..
  18. it's snows in Milton you know! coldest winter I ever experienced was in Florida!
  19. i happen to agree that the Regional areas need to be restructured and remapping. sadly those in power of the organization are Full on A type personality and will run the organization into the ground before they let go of their territory. mostly run by angry old people. 710 miles Miami to Pensacola, Florida alone could be classified as a region! on another note. one only has to take a on line look at upcoming tournament entry's and one will find pockets, particularly in the Midwest where tournament entry's are full and mostly juniors.. these places must be doing something right!
