  1. A product called Sunny Brite works great. It is for cleaning fiberglass showers and gets the hard water spots off without much scrubbing. Will have to wax the boat after.
  2. I'm trying to take my senior judges test and my wife is showing the video to Troy's dad, very hard to concentrate.
  3. @richarddoane I did call Radar, guy was very helpful, but they are out of stock. Just looking for a good replacement to the stock stuff that works.
  4. Quote of the day from Greg Badal this weekend: "If you have rope, you have hope". It is kind of fitting for that recovery. Good job @webbdoqg99
  5. Send it to @dirt he will test it for you. :)
  6. Has anyone found an bulk bungee to buy to replace the top laces on the Strada bindings? I measured the old one and it is 3/16". Don't want to buy the whole kit online (have all the other parts). Called Radar and they are out of bungee currently. Thanks, Kevin
  7. We use Eagle One Wax and Shine, works great and less expensive then Babes products.
  8. Demo as many as you can and pick the one that feels best.
  9. @dirt we could take that over the ramp at lake 3?
  10. Would like to try the Connelly, but @Dirt keeps saying I can try his and never shows up with it. :) Oh and by the way, Fritz said we can use your boat as the pickup boat at the Firecracker.
  11. One of the things I see is a lot of people that don't like tournaments are just not competitive people. Which is fine, like @Crashman said go out enjoy the lake experience, buy boats and equipment and have fun getting outdoors. The competitive nature of our society is going away. I see it with families that have parents that are competitive and their kids are skiing tournaments or playing tennis, golf, baseball, ect. But I see a lot of people that have no interest in competitive sports no matter what the activity. And I have seen a lot of men get out of skiing or other sports because their wife has no interest in doing it or hanging out at the lake/event all day. You have to have that self drive to compete. Most the College tournaments I have been to are more about the party and less about the skiing. As one school said on their T-Shirts "Our drinking team has a skiing problem".
  12. @rodltg did you go participate in the PCO class F tournament for fun to have a good time. It is always good to support other clubs in the area. The PCO is always a fun event and very relaxing. There are reasons that tournament is down in participation, and I think weather is the biggest reason, almost always windy there. The club does a great job making a fun/enjoyable weekend. Also the Pleasant Oak tournament this weekend is almost full (47 skiers so far), so participation at that lake is good. And as you stated in the opening of this thread about skiing against all 38 off skiers, there are only 3 or 4 skiers that have an average of 38 off participating, so people shouldn't feel intimidated by skiing in a tournament. Also the club can set up the tournament different ways with a novice/never made group or they have done a grouping where all the 38 off skiers are group together to make the other divisions more competitive. Just idea's to help get others to an event.
  13. Also tournaments put a little pressure on you to go out and ski a set at the best of your ability and compare how you are progressing. Hard to do in practice, because we will run a couple of back to back passes or may miss and then shorten, not always ski down the line. I don't compare myself to others scores, just if I feel I'm improving under controlled conditions. Plus it makes us ski in conditions we might not do as a non tournament skier. Very easy to say, oh it's a little windy, I wait to ski. Also if you want ability based tournaments, INT has them in the general area (Redding, CA).
  14. @eleeski I make sure I don't drink that much so those little opps don't happen. :)
  15. @MS parts might fall off if he cleans it. @eleeski this gives you plenty of time to work on your next ski design.
  16. I think @eleeski should make a trick ski for @horton to do a write up on. :)
  17. @dirt , Fritz said I could try the Connelly this weekend!
  18. @Dirt , just drop it off on your evening fly over and I will test it for you. And as long as I keep avoiding Hinkle's calls, I get to keep the ski right?
  19. @Dirt , you should call Greg and see what he recomends for numbers!
  20. I use Sunny Brite to get the water spots off. It is designed for fiberglass showers and works great on water spots. I got Stan's (Eric's black 2008 MC) shinny bright with it. After finished with it, use Eagle One spray on wax. Tried a lot of stuff with Northern Cal's hard water, and they seem to work the best. Might have to try some of the other suggestions on here. Babe's spot remover didn't even touch the hard spots on a black boat. @Blueski , the most whining I have ever heard is when we wipe the boat down after skiing and @eleeski is around. Worst than any teenager!
  21. I have been trying the 140 on my 200. Best mirror I have used and I have the better Nautique mirror. Great vision from the 140.
  22. I like how he advances the ski at the center of the wake to help make a smooth edge change.
  23. Bent Handle and a S-2 helped mine last year.
