  1. I have been skiing with SG for the last few years. I had access to a ZO boat at Stan's lake, but the lake skis so different than most, I would find a setting that I liked there and then go to a different lake and hate the setting. I understand the boat to boat and lake to lake, than setting to setting difference. I would have to agree with Seth, one setting would make it a lot easier, that is what we had with PP Classic and SG. Also it would alleviate some of the confusion on the dock with skiers that don't use it all the time. They spend more time asking what they should go with than what they should be doing from a skiing stand point. I had been skiing with B2 just because it seemed to be similar from boat to boat. I did switch to C1 the end of last year based on talking to Mateo, Dirt and Scott P. and it felt better. This year I decided to make the ZO jump and got a new boat. Hopefully it will help find a setting. Also ZO is a lot better than SG/Classic in trick mode.
  2. Here is the picture of Ron on Jumpers in powder from Lucie Goodman. She said they worked great in powder, but not so well on the packed.

  4. Edge change, the one think I'm always trying to improve.
  5. Richard, We are joining the Nautique promo team here in Northern CA. So if anyone wants a 2012 C/B 200, I will be getting it from the dealer shortly.
  6. Crashman, Now you will get you birthday wish, you can ski behind you new boat! Enjoy the boat. Kevin
  7. Ron Goodman mounted a pair of jumpers and rode them in deep powder at Mt Baker in WA. I will email Lucy Goodman to see if she still has a picture of it. Kevin
  8. You should ski! Do what you enjoy. I have a rule about injuries, if it hurts (bad, not just normal aches/pains) stop doing that, otherwise go for it. Just make sure you take care of it with other activities. I broke my shoulder last spring and wasn't able to ski for 5 weeks. When I went to the doctor to have the break checked, he said it looked good, but let it rest for another 6 weeks. I told him not going to happen. I went skiing the next weekend. I took it easy at first until I was able to build up strength. Kevin
  9. The wakes are great on the 200 at all line lengths and speeds. As far as the wakes for wake boarding, I don't do much of that, but I do trick ski behind them. The wake has a nice steep wake for great air tricks. It is never going to be a large wake for huge tricks, but it is nice. The gate on Nautiques is more for smoothing out table of the wake at slower speed than making it larger like the wedge on a Malibu. Kevin
  10. And I thought this was going to be about the Connelly Ski!
  11. Chuck, How is the weight of the system? Compared to the Strada doubles on a single plate? Also have you released from the system? Sorry Richard, typing to fast and the brain isn't working yet?
  12. Nick, Check out the Quantum trick skis (Masterline). They are a very easy to use ski and get good air off the wakes. D3 also makes a good ski that you can pick up used sometimes depending on size. As for a handle, you can use anything that will work since you are not doing toe tricks. Wakeboard or slalom handle will work fine. Kevin
  13. Chuck, How is the wait of the system? Compared to the Strada doubles on a single plate? Also have you released from the system?
  14. The plate locks in, kind of like snow ski bindings.
  15. Crashman, Come on out and we can do some skiing. As the others that know me on here can vouch, I would stand behind what I sold. Plus it has taken me years to convince my wife we should get a new boat. She really likes skiing behind this one and how it drives. Keep me posted, Kevin
  16. Crashman, I'm sure we could work some shipping into it. I know a few dealers in the area I could work with them to get it shipped. Kevin
  17. I have a 01 Ski Nautique I need to sell, so I can order a promo boat. It is loaded (Heater/Shower, Towing Cover, Bimini, GT-40) and skis great at all line lengths. Has Star Gazer already installed. It looks really good, I can send pictures if interested. I'm asking $16,500 obo with ZO emulator added on when available. Willing to talk about all options. Kevin
  18. I like my RS-1's and wouldn't have any trouble going to the new Strada's, I have a 11-12 foot. Just trying to see if anyone liked or had good things to say about the EXO's. Always looking for a better set up or just something new to try. Since it is winter and I don't ski if I have to use a dry suite like Richard, I have gotten whimpy since I have moved to Sacramento. I'm just looking at all options before I order something for the new year. Thanks, Kevin
  19. Need to get a new set of bindings this year. Have been on the RS-1's for a few years. Always willing to try something new. Wondering if anyone has tried the new EXO's with upgraded hardware. I also hear the EXO bindings are a little softer fore/aft. Especially would like to hear from anyone that has skied both. Thanks, Kevin
  20. I have a 2001 CC through Ski Safe and pay about the same for $500k liability per lake owner. I have called both Ski Safe and Global, they are pretty similar. If you want it lower, check the value you have it insured for. With a boat you set the value, they don't lower it automatically like a auto policy.
  21. Depends what the boat has in it. If it has Star Gazer than it is going to be less than $500 to upgrade. But if it has PP Classic, then you will need to upgrade to Star Gazer and the graphic display about $700 for those items. If your still looking for a boat, I have a very nice 2001 Ski Nautique for sale, I would be willing to throw in the upgrade z-box. I need to get it sold so I can order a Promo Boat. PM me if interested and I can send details & pictures. Kevin
  22. Eric, There was something different with the 2011 boats. Skis different than the 08 at Stan's for trick. Some were better than others. Not sure why. But when Steph skis behind the 2011, she complains, but behind a 2010, she says it skis fine. She still likes the 200 best and really likes the Carbon Pro for slalom. Have not been behind the TXI yet. Kevin
  23. Rod, something to think about with Accuski is that it needs a magnet at the 55's to work right. At least the one boat that has it at our lake has to have that. Then finding someone to drive with it is an issue, because most haven't used it. The owner of the boat usually spends about 15 min of their set trying to explain how to pull some one up with it before they ski. The time savings in just having someone jump in and drive you might be worth the extra dollars. But Accuski does have a nice slalom pull.
  24. Maybe Horton can do a test/write-up on it over the winter?
