  1. Richard, Already have approval for the new boat. Just need to sell this one first. Kevin
  2. Just want to make sure it is ok to replace the starter on my 01 Nautique with an automotive one from the local parts store? I wouldn't think that there is something special for marine application. But just want to check with the experts on here. Thanks, Kevin
  3. Thanks, Hopefully I will have time this weekend to trace wires.
  4. I have a friend who is an electrician. He is going to bring over a tester for the battery cables. That way I don't have to pull them. Thanks,
  5. Have a 2001 Nautique that is blowing the inline battery fuse every time I hit the starter to actually start the motor. Have replaced the starter/starter relay and two black fuses at the rear of the motor. Anyone else ever have anything like this? My friend thinks the key pad might be bad. I'm going to check the battery cable to see if it might be shorting out when I can be home from work a day without it being dark. Thanks, Kevin
  6. Great Video, would like to see more. Also lucky that we have Terry right here in Sacramento. Great guy to ski with.
  7. I'm 185 - 190 most the time and riding a 67.5. Hope that helps. My wife is riding it too and she is 145. I skied it yesterday with a small ventral (front part of fin) and large in normal fin spot. Great set up on the ski. Kevin

  9. Since it is the time of year to get rid of skis, I have my wife's 2011 65.5 A2 ski for sale if anyone is looking for a shorter one (since she stole my S2). Asking $500 obo. Email me for pic's at kevin_lee_99 at Hotmail.com It is listed on Ski-it-Again too.
  10. Great Ski, very smooth and easy to ski well on. Here are the settings that the S2 we have: 6.84 tips .74 flat 2.50 7 wing Wife won't let me touch the fin now. Just got a ventral to try on it too.
  11. Ham, no truer words! I'm just glad she likes to ski as much as I do.
  12. Reposesed the A2 from Jim last night. :) Part of the deal with her taking the S2 if I don't end up liking the A2 better, I can get another ski.
  13. Yes it is cheaper than a wife. She has officially claimed the ski, she even calls it her ski and has let me put my bindings on it a few times to ski this week until I get my A2 back from Jim.
  14. Here is one I use on the wife: Me: I want a new ski. Her: You don't need a new ski. Me: I know, if I needed a new ski, I would already have a new ski, I just want one! Saying work with anything I want, doesn't mean I always get it.
  15. Travnews, ZO is the easiest system to drive. PP/Star Gazer has gotten better over the years, but takes more setup to make it perfect. ZO just map the course and go, it never over shoots a speed or runs hot sagments because it is part of the ECM system.
  16. Hey Jim, I need my ski for the weekend now! Just kidding, have fun in Chico.
  17. Dirt, I will have to remember that comment next time we ski, maybe your ski will go missing. :) By the way, I may have to come ski with you this weekend, since all my skis are with others, Jim has the A2 for Chico this weekend. Don't call Horton names, you need to get us other skis to try!
  18. I agree with Ed, I just kept moving the fin back. Not sure where mine is now, the caliper battery died yesterday so I just moved it back a little more to see how it felt, going to measure it tomorrow. If I get to ski it now that my wife likes the ski. Kevin
  19. Would like to try the Sans, but I think I would be in big trouble spending that kind of money on a ski without demoing first. Looks like a nice ski. Maybe Horton will let Dirt borrow it. :) RioDP, Give me a call sometime if you still want to get out and try the course some more this fall. The crowds are not at the lake like middle of summer.
  20. Than, she gets what ever she wants, I just keep her happy. Everything I want, I know it will cost me double, because she wants something too. When I say I'm ordering a new ski (water or snow) her first comment is "what do I get". Brent, I need to figure out what I want to try now. There are so many good skis out there.
  21. Yes, I now know how you feel. I forgot to mention that I usually get the boat on the lift and cleaned up while she puts the skis away. As I look in the back of the car, the S2 is in her bag, her A2 without bindings in in mine and my bindings are just sitting in the back of the car.
  22. She has been riding the A2 (65.5) all year and has been doing well on it. So last night she wanted to try the S2 I just got to play on. I like the ski, just trying to refine the settings. I told her it was too big for her, but she still wanted to try the stepped bottom. She goes out on the ski and runs her 30 pass and gets to the end of the lake with a big smile on her face. So she keeps going runs her 32 and the easiest 34 she has ever run. So she says lets try 22, she usually only gets 3 or 4 when she gets there. She goes and runs the 22 for only the second time in her life. So as she drops in the water, she says you can't have it back. So I loaned my A2 to Jim and now she won't let me have my S2 back. Guess I'm going to have to ride my Trick ski all weekend. So now do I just let her have the ski, it is a 67.5 or order the right size for her? Kevin
  23. My wife skied behind it a Liquid Zone a couple of weeks ago and said she like the wakes. Said if felt like our 01 Nautique as far as wakes. And she is a huge fan of Nautique for both Slalom and Trick. Doesn't like the MC as well for either. Out of all the MC's skied this year she prefers the 10's or Mateo Vargas '11. Kevin
