  1. I think all the boats have good and bad points. I do ski at 28 off and shorter, so wake usually isn't a factor. And the MC would win out on price. But as all of us know "if the wife ain't happy, no one is happy". Plus I like having someone who will go to the lake all the time with me. Kevin
  2.  Eric, Yes, but the wife makes the ultimate decision on weather we get a new boat or not (I always want a new one). Because if she doesn't like it at the slower speeds/line lengths, it is not going to end up on the lift. http://www.ballofspray.com/vanillaforum/js/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif For slalom, she likes the SN200 the best right now. She even tested it for Tricks and like it. She can tell you about it this weekend.  Kevin
  3. Any one skied both skis? Looking for comments if the A2 is better than the A1 and worth the change? Or just stay with the A1.  Thanks, Kevin
  4. Also looking at a SN200 or the Centurion. Like how the MC trick wake is now.  No holes in a boat, makes them sink. http://www.ballofspray.com/vanillaforum/js/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-surprised.gif
  5. Has anyone heard on weather MC will be doing a redesign soon. I like the MC boat and I'm thinking about getting a 2011, but worried they are going to change it and I'm skiing a different boat then at tournaments. The current 197 hasn't changed much since about 2003.  Thanks,  Kevin
  6. Michael will be missed, he had a great personality and was a lot of fun to hang around. A great talent on and off the water.  Kevin
  7. The pink and black "Barbie" Malibu was sold just after regional's. It was Deb and Barry's boat.
  8. I aggree with Richard, any binding can cause an injury. My worse ankle injury happened in KD rubber bindings. Back foot came out, front foot didn't as I twisted. Ankle will never be the same and that was about 15 years ago. Find the most comfortable, safest pair for your use.  Kevin
  9. Horton, since your there and the boat was supposed to arrive last night, post some pic's for us!!!! Thanks,
  10. The one at the Pro/Am this weekend will be pulling the legends event from what I was told. I'm going to try and get down there to look at it, if I make it, I will take some pictures and post them.  Kevin
  11. They will have a boat at the Pro/Am this weekend. Hoping to get down there to look at it. Maybe some of the others going can get some good pictures?
  12. I still like hanging out with all the guys from Washington. But middle of September and still skiing with out a heavy rash guard is nice!  Richard, good luck at the Last Blast of Heat this weekend, always one of the best tournaments/parties of the year. Can't wait to get you guys down here for Regional's next year. Will be a great time hanging out.  Kevin
  13. Got 2 at 38, so it was good for me. Plus I ran a great 35, which is hit or miss for me.  You should give it a try!
  14. My source says that Richard Gere will officially be the #1 Men's 55+ tricker after this weekend!!!! Horton will need to come up with a new banner.  Happy B-day Mr. Gere! I guess I owe you a drink now?
  15. I hear he is pretty good with a hole saw? But that could just be from the acting background.
  16. I heard from a reliable source (at the tournament), that Richard Gere (Previously Thought to be #1 Mens 55+ Tricker in the World) was skiing at the 35+ World Championships last week. This source did appreciate all the drinks purchased for Richard Gere's (Previously Thought to be #1 Mens 55+ Tricker in the World) table by the young Italian Men.
  17. Jim/Dsmart and I were discussing this weekend at Bell Aqua, weather the color of the shorts matching the color of the boat helped you get in sink with the boat? I skied great behind the Blue/Black Nautique with Blue/Black shorts on B2.
  18. A guy at our lake just got one in to demo. Any recommended settings besides the new fin. He took one set on it and said it doesn't track well at all. Unless he can get it skiing better in the next week, it will most likely be going back.  Thanks,
  19. I just mounted the same ski with a hard boot for a girl at our lake.  I found the center of the ski and mounted binding so the ankle would be at the center. The plate is adjustable so I could move fore and aft of that point. But I seemed to get it right for her the first time (guess I'm lucky).  Kevin
  20. I like the idea of more competition with boats. A better price is always good as long as the boat has a good wake for Slalom & Tricks and quality workmanship. I don't want a boat that I don't have a chance of skiing behind in a tournament, more for tricks then Slalom, that is why I only look at the "big 3". I want to get a new boat, but the price of the new one's keep putting me off, mine current one is paid for.  Kevin
  21. I moved from Western Washington to Sacramento. :) Lots of lakes (private and public) with a very long season April - Oct (no dry suits) and Tahoe is 1 - 2 hrs depending on where you live in the Sac area. If you would like more info, let me know.  Kevin
  22. Marco,  Sam Lee is setting up camping at the site, if you check with him he can tell you what is available. suddensam@cableone.net  Kevin
