  1. How much do you think it would cost to make after learning from your mistakes? I wonder if I could get the community on board here to buy one to learn from.
  2. And the house is taken, That went faster then expected!
  3. That works, I'll give you the discounted rate too! ;)
  4. Well I'm not allowed to ski in it and Katie is always pestering me to go on vacation so I am pretty tempted to leave. Maybe I would be here just to film the big dawgs and stay in a hotel that night. Not sure...
  5. Im amazed that bitcoins went from 10,000 BTC/pizza up to $2k per BTC and now back to $560. If only I had mined a few back in the day :( But at least Im not the guy who paid $20M for a pizza.
  6. So pretty preliminary here, not even 100% sure if I will be allowed to do this, but I want to get a feel if there is any interest before I get to convincing the wife! I live at SMRR the site of 2014 nationals. I have a house on the Jump lake right in the middle so you can clearly see both Jumps from the back porch. 5 Bedroom/3.5 Bathroom house with 3 beds and some air beds Two of the bedrooms are suites. Rental would include use of the house and everything in it, and a golf cart. We would then go on vacation for the week. The house itself is really nice, 3300 sq ft, 10 ft TV for after the skiing, nice back porch for watching or partying after a days skiing and best of all it's right here so you don't have to drive and you can easily invite friends over to keep cool and have a few drinks ;) Please contact me for info on pricing or any offers you might have. It won't be "cheap" but it will be a lot nicer then having to drive 10++ minutes to a hotel or haul your RV half way across the country. kfennell@gmail.com 512-739-5102
  7. You can ski with us, 30 minutes south of Austin 512-739-5102 Who can I ski with in North Austin and between Baton Rouge and New Orleans?
  8. Yeah I saw that video of the 809 ft in the Reddit thread. I cant believe they just scrape those dudes up!
  9. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tFs7jVgUeDo This is just nuts, almost 600 ft and SOOO many SEVERE injuries. Insane sport. The commentators even say they cant believe they are doing it!
  10. Maybe by then they will be available to rent for $800 for the week...
  11. Someone get me one of these and we can get live HD! http://www.paralinx.net/store/tomahawk
  12. It was sooo cold too. It looks nice in the pictures, but it is 65 air, 52 water, and wind was 15 or so MPH. I cant believe these guys both got wet... Jay didnt even have a top on!
  13. I would get a d3 z7 Great forgiving ski that allows very high performance, It is a great deal for students too as there are generally a bunch of them cheap on ski it again.
  14. He is in South Africa with the Austins. I think he's back in April. But actually he doesn't coach either of these guys, that is Jordan Orsak and Jay Eidem
  15. Decided to start a new thread for the video we shot today since it isn't really related to the other thread. Here is some video of February jumping! Cold day!
  16. Here is some more video from tonight. Got it a bunch more stable today.
  17. hmm.I dont have a dvr yet but I imagine there is a way I can figure this out.
  18. that was off the card. it was also broadcasted to shore but just a high quality 480p
  19. Here is a video we took tonight. This is the first video we ever took. GP Hero 3+ on a brushless gimbal being controlled by a camera operator on shore. Holding the gimbal on a 1.5" PVC pipe that we flattened the end and bent it to shape. Camera will get more stable with some tuning and keeping it out of the wind better.
  20. Yeah I can see there are lots of catches to live video. This was more directed at my other idea and wanting to get in touch with Greg. Did anyone see slopestyle skiing tonight? Did you see that it was being filmed with a drone carrying a DSLR on a gimbal, just like what I have here :)
  21. Yeah I was thinking over the multiple boat problem and I don't have a teriffic idea to solve it. The transmitter and stabilization setups cost $400 each plus a gopro hero 3+ add a few hundred if you wanted to use something like a Nex5 with zoom, or add $1k for a DSLR. Gets expensive to have that setup in multiple boats ;) Moving the setup between boats would be one clamp and jumper cables to the battery but I am sure that trying to do that fast in a tournament will result in something getting broke, etc.
  22. Here is some prototype equipment. Stabilized follow mode is working on the camera and the video uplink works perfect in SD. http://i.imgur.com/uhekDAu.jpg http://i.imgur.com/JmlwxYo.jpg
