  1. You can do them, but you probably have to have learned them earlier in life.
  2. @Chef23 I have had a little pro coaching, for the toe slide keep your ripe knee up and your knee square then keeo your foot as close to your other knee as possible and just point your knee to the side. Do it for non credit till you get comfortable then step it up. For the back wrap you have to really throw it and get your shoulders involved till you learn the feeling then learn it more smoothly. Hands very wide on the handle, a wakeboard handle can help, and put your front foot hand in your asscrack. Do it outside the wake on the side that your front foot is.
  3. OK, so I would like to try to get to 3k points in tricks withing the next year. Right now I can do the following. S, R, B, F, R, R, WB, WF, R, R, bb, R, WBB, R, TB, TF, TS. WB reverse is not in a wrap yet but I am getting close. I am also getting close to TWB but not close to TWF. Where do I go from here in a pursuit of 3000 points. Bear in mind that I am 31 and 195 lbs so it seems unlikely that I will be able to do flips. I am slowing down my speed and I am down to 18.6/18.3 now. Makes it easier to link tricks together. Thanks for any advice! Edit: That is 1450 points if I could do it all in a row, which I have never done. :( Im pretty sure i can get to 1900 points with TWB, TWF, WO in not too long, but then what? I generally practice hands more then toes just for lack of a 3rd person.
  4. Any word on where the K-Palms are at? May has come and gone and they still aren't out there that I know of? My MIL had some on order since October and finally had to cancel...
  5. That is hard to fathom. I started running -22 last spring, and I think I will be happy to be into deep -35 2 years later. That is skiing every day and with lots of good coaching and equipment! Now I feel bad. Though it is at 36
  6. @GOODESkier‌ Did you go from -22 to -39 in 2 years, or there are two people sharing your account? Or?
  7. @‌horton Do they make a protein shake beer? I think Im going to program the drone to fly above the course with a strobe light and a horn during your set at nationals...
  8. Here is a current picture of me, I'm pretty strong but not lean yet. Definately need to remember to drink more water. I've been slacking. http://imgur.com/Ip2YXlO.jpg
  9. I guarantee I've drank the least of anyone who actually drinks in all of skiing in the last few months :(
  10. So I lost a fair bit of weight in the off season, and I would really like to lose another 10 lbs while building a bit more muscle to get in really really good shape. My problem is that now that I am skiing ~12x a week and trying to eat not that much I don't have enough energy and my muscles are not healing between sets. I try to make sure that most of my calories are in protein, but even this isn't helping. I guess in summary, if I want to lose weight and build muscle from 195 lbs while skiing 2x a day and not getting sore (at 31) how many calories do I eat and how much of that should be protein, carbs, etc. Thanks!
  11. Horton, for everyone? When I was looking at skis, John travers, Trent Finlayson and Dave Goode all suggested the 66" for me at 195 lbs@36 mph.
  12. Easier in an absolute sense or easier to do well. I think its easier to go full throttle and point the boat then it is to watch for other boats, make sure the guy hasnt fell off and the ski is catching water, keep the other kids in the boat in line, etc.
  13. Yeah that ski looked alot narrower then my XT, I said something to my wife to this effect while I was watching it.
  14. FM makes a reflex style release. I have it on my trick ski.
  15. please dont let this disuade anyone from using a drone in a webcast in the future. That was basically a toy drone and not nearly representative of what is available! Wireless HDMI is even available now so there is no excuse for that!
  16. Ah, damnit i left it public. @Horton‌ can you switch it to private?
  17. If you had a mount that always kept the skiier perfectly centered, and reduced vibrations by ~90% and most importantly didn't transmit any rope shock to the camera, how much would you pay? Films in 1080p and has adjustable zoom. Just wondering if there is any interest before I work on a proof of concept? Bear in mind that existing high end mounts cost close to $300 without a camera.
  18. No way there is any problem at -28 behind that boat.
  19. Its easier to run short lines at slower speeds when you are very strong I find, like @skier2788 is. You can kind of soak up the slack hit and get fired off to the other ball. That is the case for me at least when I slow down and try 32/35. I find all line lengths at 34 to be easier then their 36mph one length longer.
  20. Thanks. I am surprised at the lack of discussion of the skiiers line through the course here.
  21. The copter is custom, see some more detailed pictures of what it used to look like (props are upside down now) at http://www.usaerialimaging.com/ Camera was a 7D from a 3 axis gimbal. When I get back to work doing this I will use a GH4. As for altitude there is a catch getting really low. It has to be almost completely not windy to go to 10' because the altitude is controlled by a barometer, one gust goes through and it can hop up and down 10 feet no problem. They are working on sonar and Lidar guided altitude now, hopefully within the year it will have dual lidar on it for altitude hold.
  22. Its back in one piece now though. Stupid distractions...
  23. Thanks @cragginshred‌ This is at SMRR the location of 2014 Nationals. www.sanmarcosriverranch.com See this for another video of the site: And here is a picture I took.
