  1. Its making me so mad to see it every time they show the rope on the live video, someone talk to the boat judge!!!
  2. It is in the printable PDF: http://gmpowertrain.com/2013_pdf/M_Vert_Gen5_6.2(L86)_020315.pdf
  3. Jsut an FYI to everyone because of something I saw at the masters. Please DON'T put both loops on the pylon, pull the longer loop out of the way and just have it so the shorter loop is touching the pylon. f you have the longer length in behind the shorter, then when the skiier loads the line the rope will move out of the way and you can feel a little snap in the line. Just a thought for next time you are a boat judge or a passenger.
  4. So you can see the difference between the "OEM" specs of the old vs new GM marine engines, it looks like a 35 HP bump on the big engine and 60 hp on the smaller ones. Another interesting change is that they will have variable displacement, I bet that will save some money for those of us who have 50+% hours at idle. http://www.gmpowertrain.com/MarineEnginesControllers/ProductPortfolio.aspx I know there are manufacturers who have already received these engines for testing and that "they will cost substantially more" then the 2015 engines. Does anyone have anything more concrete then this? Will 5.3's with 350++ horsepower be available?
  5. Yeah http://www.masterswaterski.com/video/
  6. I am planning on making an offer on that boat when I sell mine, I wish you guys would shush about sharing that link! @mbabiash Just buy my CP eh :D Come try it out at SMRR You live on Granburry? If so you were standing in your driveway 2 weeks ago on the day of the hail storm and we drove by and waved from a grey pathfinder.
  7. @socalskier I had that, use a bigger diamater Handle, it will go away immediately.
  8. I happened to call on these boats today myself as well. They wanted quite a bit for them considering their past. Even more for the promo boat they have there. Matt just buy my carbon pro out of San Marcos and save some money!
  9. Pros - you can hold onto more Cons - You can hold on until your face hits the wake. Overall I stopped using them and when I did I stopped crashing behind the boat so much
  10. Everyone here seems to love centurions so much, lets get the wallets out and support them! FYI: There is no transmission clunk on this boat, sounds the same as any other 600 hour boat IMO.
  11. Almost all brand new, but I guess they are 75% PCM 343 and the rest of the Indmar owners don't seem to know or care that it calls for 89 because they are all running 87. I am suprised to read that, I just assumed that since everyone was running 87 it was OK with them!
  12. It is possible, but the majority of people only use 87 and only the Ilmors actually suggest using higher, so there would be most of the lake paying more for gas they don't want or need. I can get gas from the station, but using 5G jugs is a pain!!!
  13. @Jordan No such thing here. Almost all gas has ethanol in it, and no way to get ethanol free delivered.
  14. We have a community gas tank here that only has 87 octane in it, I am exploring all my options, and would maybe consider a new 6.2L mastercraft, but the manual says the following: The Ilmor MV8 engine (5.7L, 6.0L, 6.2L and 7.4L) requires a minimum of 87 octane fuel. The octane number is based on the pump octane number, which is (R + M)/2, where R is the research octane number and M is the motored octane number. For better performance, 93 octane fuel is recommended. I am imagining it retards the timing a little on 87 and so the power is down a bit, but I guess it will still be plenty starting with 445HP. Thoughts?
  15. I am going to get this color I think but with grey interior where the red is. http://boatsales.li.csnstatic.com/boatsales/boat/dealer/bd5668362401034105789.jpg?height=279&width=424&aspect=centered
  16. I managed to get some pictures tonight, note that the floor is a little wet still so thats the dark spots. Note the engine cover you can kind of see the pattern that the fading has made. http://i.imgur.com/hc4LPXK.jpg http://i.imgur.com/ryCfewb.jpg http://i.imgur.com/vA2WnHd.jpg http://i.imgur.com/EVZ80VD.jpg http://i.imgur.com/tbOAUdR.jpg http://i.imgur.com/8Ob1njD.jpg http://i.imgur.com/QbaBzLR.jpg http://i.imgur.com/zRz52jq.jpg http://i.imgur.com/DJrny45.jpg http://i.imgur.com/DEzDKBi.jpg http://i.imgur.com/evx6H9w.jpg

  18. I have decided that I like my carbon pro so much that I want to buy a new 2015 6L so this one has to go. It will be an excellent boat for someone looking to get into a late model ZO boat and get the same sort of pull you will get in a tournament. 2012 Carbon Pro Promo Boat $32,000 OBO 660 Hours as of May 11th, but we use it 5 hours a week roughly CARBON on white color scheme, IMO this was the best one and you can't get it anymore. This boat is exactly the same as the photo shoot boats from the early years. Grey interior with darker grey (kind of shark grey blue) accents Upgraded Rudder to the newer model greatly improving tracking and handling, rudder was then tuned by a tournament driver and the boat drives great, pulling skiiers into 41 off, 190 ft jumps, and 10,000 point trick runs in practice. Brand new 3 blade (13.25 x 15.5 105 cup acme) prop was just installed to give it a better hole shot on short setups, it turns out that this prop slaloms WAY better than the original so it worked out great. Original prop also included (13x14.5 4 blade). You can have this pictured dual axle trailer, or if you like the new single axle that will come with the new boat. This trailer has about 1000 hours on it. Located in Central TX Available preferably with 4-6 weeks notice, but flexible. Recent Maintenance: Serviced by PCM dealer at Christmas to make sure nothing was wrong with it, changed out the fuel filter and FCC filter. Replaced plugs and cap and rotor and accessory belt at 500 hours Replaced transmission fluid at 500 hours Oil changed with synthetic every 50-60 hours, impeller every 100. This boat is mechanically 100% and we use it every day to pull 36 MPH slalom skiers and 35 MPH jumpers. Known Issues: There are three ½’ tears in the vinyl, two on the engine cover and one on the passenger seat that have been repaired. There is some discoloration on the grey panels in the interior, it looks kind of like a camo pattern, I think it is where they applied the glue at the factory and it has faded differently in these places over time. Around the edges of the rubber floor pads there is some gunk where the glue was applied, you could maybe get it off if you scraped at it enough, I just let it be. The rubber floor pads are also only about a 6/10 in terms of condition. They don’t seem to have gotten any worse in the last few hundred hours, I think this is how they will stay. There is a repair in the gelcoat at the very nose of the boat. Here is an older pic of the boat, I will get some new ones by the weekend and put them up here along with some video. It really skis quite well and I invite anyone to come to SMRR and drive it and ski behind it if you are interested. I know there are a number of you who already have come by and gotten a pull behind it so feel free to speak up! http://i.imgur.com/n8q3IrF.png
  19. Forgot the # PH: 888-661-2263 or (231) 592-8711
  20. Call Jim Thelen at Acme propellers - Tell him you need a new prop for a 196 that you use only for slalom skiing and he will send you one out for like $200 less then the dealership charges and it will be a better prop and it will be faster, best of all worlds!
  21. 1) Huge difference in all regards in my experience, LXI will match a 197 in wake, but the driving experience won't be as nice. The TXI is a much better boat in all regards. 2) $33,000? Depends on how well kept. (I have changed my mind what I think here a few times! somewhere between $30 and 35k I think though!) You should look at a carbon pro though if you want the nice soft wake for around that budget!
  22. Gotta get the bigger one IMO, I have used both extensively. You can kind of see the skiier at the buoy at -15 but that is it with the 100
  23. I will find out soon and report back, I also have a 3 blade to try!
