  1. I have a 66" prototype 2016 with blue graphics on it if you are interested I can get you a price.
  2. It was just time to move on since its a few years old and tech has changed. Trying denali and new vapor now. Will try a vtr when Mark gets one.
  3. Looking to sell the ski that won the BOS cash prize (handicapped) this weekend. It has one michigan summer and one TX summer on it. It is in OK condition but has scratches from use, no handle dings or other serious damage.
  4. Scores are being tweeted by @kjfennell. I won the handicapped. Horton is mad.
  5. What are you struggling with on the attachment? Just use carabiners? Dave Nichols uses one and I guaranteeeeeee that no one you know is loading harder then him.
  6. @JeffSurdej @rq0013 is for sure better then me, anyone watching for 20 seconds can see it.
  7. 6 Buoys is a good enough rule of thumb for the difference between speeds and scores, but in a competition format it is not nearly good enough. Especially if you are a big strong guy you can get a much higher score at the slower speeds, I have NO trouble running -32 and getting 4-5 at -35 @ 34 MPH the few times I have tried even when I am skiing terrible because I just muscle through the slack hits. However at -36 I still miss -28 some of the time. Hell I saw @skier2788 Run -35@34 cold off the dock the other day the first time he ever tried it. That said if I could ski at 34 and get 6 buoys added I would do it all day long, but it wouldn't be fair to someone like @rq0013 who skies technically much better then I do but who does not benefit much from going 34 due to his size and strength.
  8. Horton was trying to politely tell you that that ski, and most any ski made before say 2009 Is a terrible terrible ski to use with speed control and modern skiing technique. There are probably 50 skis on ski it again under $200 that would be better in every imaginable way. I see a fair number of people start trying to learn the course here at SMRR and one thing that they almost all have in common is they get hurt when they try to use old equipment.
  9. It definitely eats up the crappy water, @rq0013 destroyed -32@36 twice last night in a ~20 mph cross headwind at SMRR. I am excited for mine to come in after seeing that!
  10. Did you check for spark? Pull one boot off a spark plug and hold it against the exhaust headers about 1mm away and see if spark jumps?
  11. When I went out the front at 2-4 a lot I was getting hurt on vapors, now that i don't I havent been hurt all year in a ton of falls trying to run -32@36
  12. I he really on a 68" Vapor? Oh man, do I need a 68 then!?
  13. Sorry too late now, don't have any money to replace it with anymore! The SMRR ski club is selling its 600 hour TXI though, $31,500, you could give gordon a call on that.
  14. Suprisingly the ski didnt start turning too hard till my hard passes, then it kept wanting to go around the ball twice.
  15. @Chris Rossi I am 5'11" 200 lbs skiing into 35@ 36, currently on a 67 green, tried a 66 blue and liked the turn, but sometimes I was getting too much and losing stack behind the boat. Talked to @tfin and we think I need a 67 still, is this correct? Do the new boots fit the same?
  16. Ya. It appears they sanctioned Friday and Saturday and Freddy said that the wind looked better yesterday so he went for it. It really takes away from the hype and excitement they had built up about how this was going to be one big shot for the record on TV. At least to me. Maybe he has a ton more in the bag for today?
  17. Super disappointed that they did it like that. Makes watching the rest of this dull. He better be trying to go 350 or something today...
  18. Um on the bottom of the ski where it touches the water? Hmm post a pic and I will say if it looks like the water spots or not. Do you store it sitting g on a towel or carpet where that spot stays wet? Mine was very bubbled up as well. Looked bad.
  19. It is because your bindings have a foam pad or something that traps water against the ski. Let it dry out for a week and it will go away surprisingly.
  20. @MrJones Scoot, where did you hear that? Not saying we aren't but I havent heard anything and it was not discussed in any of the board meeting minutes? I just went back and read the last few.
  21. New 6L is a little easier to ski behind because of how consistent the pull is, we all agree Jeffs boat is the best to ski behind right now.
  22. I never tried yet, I think you could, for sure could with the top off. I live at the lake and the tournaments are mostly here, so its not such a big deal!
  23. Not for sale anymore, just going to keep it since I bought this instead http://i.imgur.com/2KUZRaH.jpg
  24. Now if you want to change props you want an ACME 1413 if you dont care about wake size, if you want to keep the wake down at with a little sacrifice on performance then use the ACME 2209 You guys should have just tried the props while I had them all here at wholesale cost!!!
