  1. @oldmanskier if your main concern is -22 wake size just change props if you don't like it. There was a HUGE difference on my boat with the 2207 acme prop like smallest wakes of any boat by far. If you get a 6l then the 2209, pull is a little firm at 36 but wife really liked it at 30-34.
  2. @oldmanskier I believe that you are considering Jeff's boat in Texas. This is BY FAR the best skiing boat in the central TX area and I think I have skied behind a good selection of them. You will not regret buying the 6L once you have driven it for 5 minutes. I own a 5.7L CP and I much prefer Jeff's boat, so does my main ski partner and we both (him more then me) ski into -35@36.
  3. @oldmanskier The centurion dealerships are contractually obligated to tell you they can work on the carbon pro (at least mine is) a better question is to call them and ask if they have the PCM scan tool (mine does not) or if they have ever worked on a carbon pro before (mine had not). If you have a Nautique dealer though they can and will work on the PCM engine in the CP and honor the warranty for the engine etc so that is probably all you really need.
  4. He gt my friend has a 2013 TXI with 900 hours for $37k asking. He is only selling g because his kids need a nautique to practice for world level comps. Send me a pm and I'll give you his s #
  5. I didnt read the entire post. Yes you should learn on a senate, but by the time you are at 32 mph or so you need to change to an appropriately sized and setup high end ski just not a twitchy one. There is a big difference between a quest or vapor vs a Denali or N1XT. We see a lot of skiers of all levels at SMRR and the ones that progress the fastest start on a BIG ski then when they get to almost their full speed change to a high end ski of the right size and SETUP IS IMPORTANT
  6. As a counter point I have seen abut 5 people change to a high end ski about 30 MPH and they all made huge improvements. I wonder if this is more related to having good settings on one ski vs the other? Settings matter a lot even at your speed and line length and dont let anyone tell you different!
  7. I dont think it was that strong, not more then 50, but exactly the right direction
  8. No, boat is fine, well maybe not the bimini, should have put it away last night apparently! Bimini was getting old anyways,
  9. Looks like we are only jumping one way for a while. The ramp is currently upside down, I think? Hard to say.
  10. Sure, my bad must have been someone else using your phone. Your words were "the bindings shouldn't be in the water when they are not attached to your feet" Like skis never fall off the dock or platform or or or..... @rq0013 post the video please...
  11. No shit he did, did any of you actually ever talk to him? His reply to me telling him that my double bindings sank when attached to the ski was that they shouldn't be in the water. WTF!
  12. Jeff sold his TXI for ~$40k this spring, those guys are smoking something at those prices.
  13. I think that if you buy an LXI for $34k that you are crazy... You can buy alomost new promo TXI for <$40k and the difference between the two is night and day, not to mention the Carbon pro that will buy or.....
  14. Actually given that i saw a 2000hr 196 sell for under 20. Maybe more like $15. As an asking price e anyways...
  15. Just off the cuff $20k? Hmm maybe ? What's a 2500 hour 197 worth? That much plus half the conversion cost? Plus something for the less hours on the
  16. Is anyone surprised by the answer to #6 about the L/R rounds? For me that was a big deal, but I think it is only in our area that most tournaments are L/R so it has become the norm? Also Q9 I think most all of our local tournaments also have a BBQ etc saturday night, I was sad that the BOS did not, and I am more surprised that it isn't widely desired?
  17. It would be nice if it was possible to reasonably retrofit the new floor into the older boats, I asked for a price from the local dealer and they wanted $2900 I think it was...
  18. You just reminded me something and made me go back and check what I paid. Ill do $340 shipped with or without the binding.
  19. I have a size 6 left single plate OB4 that my wife tried for a while but couldn't get used to. $420 shipped pics if needed, but it was used about 6 sets.
  20. @Horton Sorry are you aware of a flood of approved rule change requests that we don't know about?
  21. Step One have an idea Step Two get some support Step Three write it all up very nicely Step Four, Throw the paper you wrote it on in the lake because the stuffy rule makers won't change anything. My experience was great, never even as much as a No or acknowledgement, in fact I believe my rule change proposal wasn't even voted on.
  22. @skier2788 mail is a lot cheaper then 36 hours of driving...
