    Sad News

Very sad. Hey @rawly I dislike the news, too, but I think the dislike you tagged it with ties to @DW that you are disliking his post not the situation--which is a dislike on his BOS record, so to speak.
  2. Props to @Kimbymon for keeping a female presence around here! @Shell too. Bring your friends.
  3. All 4 of our frequently used public water courses when I lived in Litchfield would be violations for our quiet Nautiques and baby wakes with a 200 foot rule. Our wakes are smaller than what a public lake sees coming ashore on a windy day. Surf wakes...well. It disturbs everyone but the people doing it and at a great distance. It's shoreline, it's boats on boat lifts not that far up out of the water, it's docks with water crashing over them, it's people just trying to fish holding on to make sure they don't fall off the flat bass-boat they are fishing from. Any boat running by makes the same or larger wake than a slalom boat---but if not towing they don't have to be 200 ft? Hell a surf boat not towing under these rules could be closer than 200 feet throwing a big wake at a slow speed and not be violating anything. Not well thought out, hard to enforce, unfortunate
  4. Loaded up can't add 7K in a 20 year plus used environment in my opinion--but it's just that. If you sell for your price that is great---but you asked the question and are getting opinions--none of which said the price is reflective so far on your boat. Maybe there is a happy medium, maybe you will sell for your price--time will tell. Really nice boat.
  5. Every try to measure or enforce a certain footage? If there are no buoys marking it--it's pretty gray.
  6. Nice boat will be surprised if it sells near the asking. I really love that hull and it's flexibility--one of the classics. Listed at $25K I'd probably point it out to my nephew.
  7. OK looked at the link. Anyone that lays his stuff out like that is OCD so the perfect person to buy from--boat appears mint on a great trailer. Make a reasonable offer with respect to asking price--great boat will last you a very long time and depreciate very little.
  8. $20K tops. I sold a near mint 2002 GT40 and PP for $21K at the peak of inflation in the used boat market. Great boat--only 180 hours that's like 2 seasons for me on a boat--basically new. You can't go wrong there I would buy that thing.
  9. They take the tennis nets down in the fall and my daughter was a state level competitor. On a nice fall day we took a rope, put it over the posts and ran it across with dumb bells tied to the ends to keep tension. Basically a tennis "tape" without the net but we managed. She now coaches tennis at 2 clubs in L.A. and private lessons too.
  10. Props on color--looks especially nice in the water.
  11. My ribs hurt just thinking about that breaking at the wake on me.
  12. @horton that rocks! I bet they could sell those--who doesn't need a cool coffee table. You can also bolt it to your starting dock at water level like skiwatch tourney starting dock--very cool.
  13. Get permitted, buy a course, drop it in. Keep lots of lines/zip strips/extra buoys in your boat for repairs when you get there to ski and find buoys missing. Scissors, wire cutter, dive goggles in boat. Heavy anchors. Tighten initially with something other than an inboard ie) outboard jon-boat or pontoon in reverse--gives steady pressure w/out course damage.
  14. @horton Perfski winner of the month right here says me!
  15. The same way you turn any inexperienced driver regardless of gender into a good driver.
  16. Your onside is tight! Fix that back foot finish on the off side and 35/36 becomes a joke given you ran it anyway(the 36/35 is on the right hand vertical bar while watching the provided link).
  17. 3.1 set up by my bro Jim was the greatest thing since sliced bread...til it broke like sliced bread at the wake I think I'm still feeling that one.
  18. So with @Hockdog that's what I was looking for thanks for posting. Pick your poison from there knowing how the boat will behave in relation to skiing style and skill level.
  19. @scoke you still have your ZO pictorial?
  20. Changing boot type is a monster if you are used to one particular type--can make all skis horrible.
  21. TSC3 all day long and twice on Sundays. As good as you can get today with a $100K discount.
  22. "Hot" isn't the right term, but appreciate the added info re: how they run 39 but many have a lot else going on which is great and a testament to them. Props to Kristi O-J--showed 'em it could be done and blazed the trail for the others to follow. Regina on another level. Congrats to all on the list--amazing women.
  23. Best men skier in the world--it's not close.
