@adkh2oskier @motoskier I experienced the same hip feeling last Thurs eve - came around 4 ball, last pass of set, and pop or tear, had to let go of handle. LFF, right hip. Next day was sore, stiff, and hard to walk on. Very slight bruising showed up mid hip days later. What was the diagnosis? Gluteus Medius partial tear? How long for recovery?

This season I have been struggling to get my Goode XTRcc to perform as good as my old Goode Nano One XT. In one of the threads about the 9970, someone mentioned something about the recent Goode ski fin thicknesses, so I decided to check mine yesterday. I kind of had and idea about it being thicker than usual because on one of my first outings with the ski, I lost the front depth set screw (fell out due to thicker fin). Anyway, sure enough, the fin measures .100", compared to the .095" fin on my old XT. I measured other ski fins I had, and noticed some in the .085" range. What are the thoughts on performance impacts of a thicker fin vs. a thinner fin?

I noticed today at nationals that 2 of the top M5 skiers were on 2014 vintage (+/-) Goode Nano One XT’s (white stripe version)....interesting wrench in the 5 yr old ski discussion...

I think they should have built in a bottle opener feature also - that way the two unused tail pieces could serve some type of function.

Also, does it hinder the boot movement during a release?

Do these buoys really minimize disruption to your ski's path if you mistakenly tag one of them? Who has had first hand experience?

@BraceMaker look closer - those “screws” are nylock nuts holding the boots to the plate. Counter-sunk screws are coming up through the plate.
