    Yes - The Spademan's (on the orange Olin Ballet skis) were the freestyle/ballet snow ski bindings of the day. Mostly used with the old Scott boots. The pair on the red/white/blue skis look to be Besser binding.

    I believe another key component here is if you are using a handle with an anti-roll end caps. I have always used anti-roll handles and while I had golfers elbow on my right arm, my left was good. A couple years ago I switched to a standard end cap handle, and that lit my left elbow up. I also noticed occasional wrist irritation from the rolling of the handle. Of course, throw in my age, and this is all wild-a$$ speculation.

    As Rossi mentions, use your own judgement on handle guards, and you do you. Comments about someone thinking it is the "safest" are completely opinion, and have no data to back them up. Keep in mind too, some of these deaths were caused by the actual handle catching the person's chin, snapping their heads back, breaking their neck....

    I noticed that on my front insert pattern on my ski this season (very popular ski brand at Worlds). If my bio-mass movement that sits on top of this slightly miss-aligned pattern was absolutely identical and perfect every pass, I may have been concerned.

    @Billbert - no problem - I knew that would come up. The cap I replaced was a FACTORY PCM cap! So there you have it. The cap I got from amazon (because I could get it next day, and it had brass contacts) had the same markings, flow lines, etc. as the factory PCM cap! I am quite sure PCM/Crusader parts are also manufactured in China. I really dont care if you believe it or not, its just a data point, so enjoy!

    Also it looks like that cap is an automotive one (aluminum terminals), the original would have been brass, so it must have been swapped at some point.

    I dont believe I even got 50 hrs out of my last one. BTW, the PCM part is identical to the chinese part you can buy on amazon for $18.95.
