  1. Never going back to the old rope. Took some slack hits that would have been brutal with the old rope. The Optimized Rope is the real deal. Have had tendinitis issues before and feel like this new rope will greatly reduce flare up. Am sold!!
  2. @gregy. That handle control link is a must read for everyone. Read that and watched Terry Winter at quarter speed, just to see how he manages the handle in slow mo. The handle pull in after the wakes and timing of release was amazing to try and implement. Got wider, easier than ever before. That helped me run an all time BP this morning of a full pass at 28off. Super pumped!! Thanks for sharing the link.
  3. The custom handle is awesome. Never had a handle with that much grip. Don’t ever need to worry about slippage.
  4. Have both but if I could only choose one it would be the air heater. Seat heater is great at keeping the lower back warm and limber. Consider it injury insurance.
  5. Take video with sound of your passes at different settings. Then turn it up loud on playback so you can hear when the boat rpm increases/decreases. That should help you figure out, other than feel at the end of the rope, which setting best suites your skiing style. Am currently at C1+ with Rev S. Seems to pick you up quickly, give you a short burst in the pulling phase, then free you up in the preturn/turn.
  6. Had a ‘13 TXi and have been in and skied behind a ‘17 TXi club boat. Neither of those are the specific years you mentioned but are the same hulls I believe. Also got a chance to get into and ski behind a Prostar. Always been a Malibu guy but chose a ‘17 Prostar as my next purchase.
  7. I had great response from them when ordering Rev S through their web site.
  8. Used I think a 4” spring. Bent the end loops to fit. Rear of the spring found a round casting on the intake manifold to attach to. 325 EFI monsoon.
  9. Had issues as well on my 2000 Response. Perfect Pass guys are awesome and we tried different things but still not right. Hope you guys get it dialed in as this can be very frustrating and such a time waster. Was fortunate to able to fix it by buying a Prostar with Zero Off. Problem solved.
  10. Masterline 1.062”. Adjust diameter to your needs. Super grippy, high quality rubber. 13”, less chance of a misgrab That, in combination with Radar Kevlar Vapor Pro gloves and getting a good grip will not be an issue.
  11. Remember when at the Radar Factory I asked @brooks that same question. Maybe he can chime in on his findings.
  12. @Cnewbert ...definitely have an up close look and ski behind the Prostar. You sound like the kind of person that does in depth research before making a purchase...and that’s a good thing. I am like minded and bought a ‘17 Prostar after exploring all the options in my price range. I was hard pressed to find any competitors products that ticked as many boxes.
  13. Yup. Those would be my only 2 complaints as well. Thankfully that’s it, rest is awesome.
  14. Exactly @ScottScott. Why spend R&D dollars revamping the CP when you have a proven Hull in the ‘10-‘18 Nautique that you can just make some deck changes to and you have a proven, widely accepted product to market as your lower cost option in the line up.
  15. Haven’t tried it but think the prop mentioned is a 709-MF. Runs 200 rpm lower and gets 1-2 mph more top end.
  16. Site is Hatzic Lake, Mission, BC, Canada. Small, calm, shallow lake. Usually 70 degrees plus even in May. One slalom course tucked away in the corner. @RichardDoane Currently 310 hours and paid market price.
  17. Just got to go on a little rant here about the new to me Prostar. Love this boat! It’s a ‘17 that was broken in at McClintocks. Have put about 10 hours on it and man it just makes me smile every time we use it. There isn’t a shortening from 15-28 off that I have skied yet that isn’t soft and easy to cross. Rudder had too much factory right turn torque so bit by bit hand filed the port side so it has just the right amount. Upgraded the Zero Off from rev R to the S version. Currently using C1+ and loving it. The 5.7 Ilmor is a beast...don’t need any more power for what we do. The roominess, ski racks, decadence flooring, removable bow cover, etc all make for a extremely well thought out and built boat. So very pleased with my purchase and looking forward to shorting the line and new PB’s for the ski crew this summer!
  18. Anyone have the chart/graphing of how the different settings look? Also the chart that shows the actual times (0.6, 0.7, 0.8 etc seconds) that the ZO takes to pulse throttle, how long it holds and how long it takes to release? Would be cool to compare Rev R and Rev S times.
  19. My MC Dealer had issues with my 17 PS upgrade from Rev R to Rev S as well. Don’t know what was involved other than a bigger bill but Zero Off guys helped them get it done.
  20. @Roger I appreciate the time and effort you took to post. My poles do not go through the cover as shown. A pic of the pole system that does not go through the cover with the poles strapped to show how they are set up and supported before the cover goes on would really help. Thanks.
  21. Might be missing something here but couldn’t you just add a build up of 1/4”- 3/8” to the bunk in front of the rear bump down of the hull, or whatever the correct difference in height needs to be? That way the hull is supported just like the trailer. Just have to make sure to have a stop or make a mark somewhere to make sure it sits at the right spot front to back on the bunks.
  22. Tried to figure out how to position and fasten the 5 support poles on my 17 PS to help keep water from pooling. Am usually good at problem solving but what the heck. This has me confused. Anyone have pics of how to do this?
  23. @Jboss Curious...Do you have the flappers or the Stainless Steel turned down exhausts?
  24. If you have a thick life vest it may prevent you from being able to get compressed enough to get into a good position. Also mentioned thick or long shorts that balloon up can be a major drag and make it hard to hold on.
