  1. Testing the waters so to speak to gauge the level of interest of what is currently a 4.5 star Mexican vacation destination Resort that does not have a slalom site but would like to approach the developer (a skier himself) to adjust the design shape of a water feature that is tentatively planned into a private ski lake. The Resort is right on the Ocean and features an uncrowded 12 mile beach, approximately 150+ air conditioned full kitchen rooms, 3 pools, 2 restaurants, bar, spa, large gym, yoga studio, kids club, tennis and pickle-ball courts, turtle release, daily activities and more. For peace of mind the Resort is in 1 of 14 safe listed Mexican States (Oaxaca) with no travel advisories.
  2. @ral in the videos the Nautique has these upright, flexible, marked wands mounted to the hull that the rope passes over on the side to side swing. What are these? Probably figure it out if I think about it long enough but can’t make sense of it. Anyone?!?
  3. Fixing cable course entrance gates. Mainline ended up resting on one of the prop ears as I had lifted it up to reattach ball. Dropped everything down but didn’t notice that it didn’t sink properly due to muddy water. The moment the prop turned it cut through the cable mainline and wrapped around the prop. 15 minutes later outta breath, a bit of blood and cold we were unwrapped and on our way. No prop damage luckily. Fixed the mainline the next day and made sure nothing was caught.
  4. Yes @apskier been my experience as well. Size 10 most shoes, size 11 Vapor Carbitex boots fit perfectly.
  5. @jayski site not great? Joking or backwash an issue?
  6. So I had originally thought that a specific grease was specified because of the type of material it comes in contact with? Reading that the grease is a food contact grade it must be primarily so that if bilge water comes in contact with it that it will not cause harmful pollutants when the bilge water is pumped out into the lake. Is this a correct assumption?
  7. @Spineofgoo the Aussies have figured it out.
  8. Damn...knew I should’ve taken the boat out during mating season.
  9. Sanger Outboard is an awesome ski and barefoot boat wakewise.
  10. Turning 5 ball at Radar Lake this summer and knowing I’m early for 6.
  11. On our 2017 Radar Lake visit Eddie made time for a quick photo and also spent some time chatting at the ski dock. We are nobodies in the ski world but he made time for us. Rest In Peace Eddie and condolences.
  12. Was a Malibu guy but after skiing both versions of the new hulls I went with the Prostar.
  13. Christmas Idea! Video review with Terry could be a nice surprise Christmas gift for someone you ski with regularly.
  14. Have never used a releasable system and can only offer these comments. While any system is not fool proof I have subscribed to the theory that because the Vapor Boots have a removable liner there is another slip point involved in the event of a forward type fall. With the Vapor on the foot can come out of the liner or the liner can come out with the foot. In order for the Profile boots to release your foot has to come out of the boot because the liner is not removable. Assuming that both boots are tightened identically and to a safe amount of tension I feel that it is easier to come out of the Vapor boots because there is less friction between the boot and the liner than there is between your heel and the liner (Profile).
  15. Have had my elbow tendons flare up before. Not fun. Never had an issue this year with the Optimized line. Slack hits just are not as hard on you with this rope. And that is worth every dollar to me.
  16. Nice to hear that the colors will be easier to see. That was really the only thing I didn’t like about it.
  17. O'Neill's wife beater bathing suit. Kind of roles off the tongue.
  18. @Wish you did see the Suzanne Summers Maherajah ad? I think the shot you refer to is more PG-13 than that!?
  19. @Robbo5252 If you want to do the Helicopter Tour of Vegas and the Grand Canyon and do it right this is just awesome. Volunteer to sit up front on the way out as you will be in the back on the return fight. 1 hour flight to the Canyon with unforgettable sights. https://www.maverickhelicopter.com/wind-dancer-tour
  20. @Horton had a positive experience filing the rudder so just assumed it was just that easy. Only time I’ve ever done it. @mmskiboat I feel your pain. My PS arrived after the ‘18 season was over and had to wait for spring. Spent a lot of time cleaning, cut polishing, waxing and fiddling. I’ve read about the rudder pin adjustment as well and think it’s just moving the steering connection point of the rudder to the inward rudder tiller arm hole(arrow). I’m going to move mine and see how it feels(in spring). ?
  21. @Cnewbert you will love the Prostar! Hope you get one soon.
  22. Rudder torque to the right was more than I was comfortable with(pic shows how it came from factory, ground on the starboard side)so I slowly hand filed the port side(arrows) over several ski sessions until I had the feel I wanted. Easy to do and very little chance of screwing up if you do a bit at a time.
  23. New to me 17 that was previously enjoyed at McClintocks. Had a great season and really improved. The boat is awesome and the wakes sure make for an easy crossing no matter what the line length.
  24. Draft on a Prostar is 22” as stated on the MC site. I would imagine that when coming up to speed from idle the bow rises and the stern drops slightly which would increase the needed minimum depth. Don’t know for sure but I wouldn’t feel safe in less than 30” of water if I had to bring the boat up to speed from idle. If just moving at idle 24”. Bravery to test the limits depends on the type of material (Rock vs mud) that is on the bottom.
