  1. We used similar scoring for novice tournaments way back. We let them run 4 tries and added them up. Did not even care how many missed. Once someone made a real 6 in first pass, they went into a "higher" division.
  2. @fu_man Our site is high PI clay, the water can be slippery all by itself. At tournament I have to be careful not to get any soap or mud on my rear foot -- or disaster will strike.
  3. @Razorskier1 Let me know if you need anything in Houston, either @skihard or myself will try to help you out. We met at Aquaplex (I was TC). That was great tournament even if Horton was running it.
  4. @Wish this is what I have under my foot instead of slippery rubber cushion pads http://www.basspro.com/INCOM-Life-Safe-NonSkid-Traction-Tape-Strips/product/1108311249309/
  5. I put non slip on the plate of my RTP, it doesn't have to be overly tight to work. However, impossible to kick in after start. I have to start both feet in.
  6. @rawly The fabric is very important. Sometimes the rock without geotextile under it will cause more turbulence as the wave hits the shore and thus more erosion.
  7. @OB1 It does not touch the water at slalom speed. Go for it.
  8. @AWSATechDude It never worked that way for me. They have tremendous influence on the center line. If doing repairs to bad courses, first remove them. I was seeing this at old sites that had courses installed dry before 55s. If the 55s were dropped in by hand later, it would very often look like the whole course was messed up.
  9. @klindy -- I think that is problem too, the pregates have tremendous influence of center line.
  10. I use the Homologation Dossier and it really works nice since I can pull up the previous years tournament and change a few things and done! I don't know anything about his survey, I've customized the AWSA ones slightly for my ease of use.
  11. When Malibu was with Indmar, the 3yr warranty started when promo guy bought it.
  12. I used longer screws with SS nylock nuts. Put nut on upside down and cut off excess and grind off any burr. But Richard Doane may have the easiest. Shipping might cost as much as new one anyway.
  13. I just put unit from Discount Inboard Marine on old SN. Coil is much higher voltage than stock and is easy to install.
  14. Mark on windshield issue. You can use the frame on the walk through windshields to help with the record check. This is old news
  15. @MarkTimm In 2007 we ran PP magnet timing and ZO timing in 100s of tournaments. +/- 0.01 sec on every pass. That is basically rounding issues.
  16. I have custom orthotics for my shoes. If I quit wearing them it comes back. Tape helps with flare ups.
  17. It would be difficult to make a rope that way. Not enough room for splices.
  18. @Bonehead Thanks, I'll pick some up.
  19. @Horton I'll try it, I get calf cramps cycling after an hour or so. There is product called Hot Shot that seems to work but is pricy
  20. I went to grad school at Northwestern in 78-79. Went to a couple of day games at Wrigley, what an awesome ball park. Cubs were so bad then, it did not look like they were even trying most of the time.
  21. @Horton Just having fun with the title of the post.
  22. Sorta surprised the URL is still working. I wonder when Horton will quit this farce?
  23. @BoneHead Sounds like you need to wear armor on the bike! I used to ride a lot, but never wanted to race, too many crashes in crits. Plus I would have sucked just like water skiing.
  24. @skihard Here is ground level shot of Phase2
  25. Here in Houston the Canadians ski all winter.
