  1. I remember quite a few years ago at the Malibu Open when it was still in Milwaukee she had a complete yard sale fall at 5 ball. It was in a opening round and she had already easily advanced with her previous passes. I was talking to her after and asked why she didn't let go and avoid the fall. Her response was classic.... "I don't let go!".
  2. I put my wife's panel in the oven around 250 and kept checking it until it started to get soft. Once soft, I held the panel against her back and wrapped her and the panel tightly with an Ace bandage. She obviously had a sweatshirt on and says it's more comfortable formed.
  3. @andjules Here's a pic from the Wailua, water was colder than expected.
  4. Here is a pic of one of my favorite pieces I've done. It's a table for my wife to display her rock collection. There are rocks from all over the world in there!
  5. @ScottScott Awesome woodworking! For me the most enjoyable part of furniture making is the design and ending up with a unique piece that you'll see no where else!
  6. So many variables depending on ski condition. Feel free to give me a call at the phone number in my ad to the left.
  7. Seems like some nights I lose the ability to ski! Tonight I just sucked.

    Ski skat

My neighbor was cleaning his garage and this was on his dump pile. It's a "Super" ski scat, looks lethal to me!
  9. Matt, My pleasure, looks great up there! Just a side note, don't ship anything right now with USPS. Matt's ski only took 2 weeks to travel about 200 miles!
  10. The grey one is mid-80's, I'm thinking 85. Was my first high end slalom ski after skiing a single from a combo set. Interesting side note, it is the ski I used to make the profile pattern to make my 65" decorative skis. All the 65" skis I've made over the years are that shape.
  11. Just finished the last coat of clear! First car I've painted. They always say prep is 95% of the work, no shit! I could only guess how many hours of sanding I have into it already and now it's time for wet sanding and buffing. Happy with the results, can't wait to get the car back together as it's getting to be roadster time here.
  12. @skialex Feel free to message me anytime for ideas.
  13. @skialex I know a guy if you want some cnc'ed graphics on your ski!
  14. Painting the hot rod. I'm so F......G tired of pinholes. I'm seeing them in my sleep! Hoping that paint fumes are going to ward off the virus!
  15. @Bruce_Butterfield As a carpenter and woodworker.... level your pictures! After doing carpentry for over 40 years you develop a pretty sharp eye for plumb and level. Drives me crazy when I walk into someone's home and everything is out of whack. I've even straighten pictures at homes. I'm not really that anal, just one thing that bugs me. Seriously, plaque looks great there. Glad I was able to help out Horton with the awards!
  16. Tecumseh, MI Wished it looked like this now!
  17. I ship all my skis USPS. Cost range around $25-40. A bit more when going across the Rockies from the east.
  18. For those of you that have never had the thrill of driving on a track, a great way of doing it is go to a driving school. Not only do you get to drive without limits, but you actually learn some skills. That way you're not in over your head. It will also make you a better road driver. I've done several but the one I really enjoyed was the Bondurant School in Phoenix.
  19. I've done enough track driving that if I had to choose between skiing or track driving, it would be the track no question. The rush driving balls out on the track is something everyone should try! They opened one of those private track/condo developments in the Detroit area, if I only had that kind of money!
  20. @6balls SE Michigan is farther south than Madison!
  21. You haven't lived until you not only wrap the main cable of a portable course around the prop, but because it was a sinkable course it also had the air lines too! Adding to the pressure of untangling, it was 6:45 am and everyone had to get to work. A bit of blood and a few adjectives we got it, not a fun morning.
  22. Everyone keeps talking about how expensive skiing is, it doesn't have to be. You can buy a 80's direct drive all day around here for $3-5000 and show up at any public access lake and ski your ass off all day. Around my house you have a choice of a least 15 -20 lakes and some like ours even have a course. Go on ski-it-again and you can pick up equipment at a reasonable price. Hell, I ski on a private lake with only 4 other guys and it cost me less than $3000 a year. I guess if you have to ski behind a new boat and on a new ski it does get pretty expensive but there are alternatives.
  23. @matthewbbrown There was some great music back then. I've heard it way to many times since but I can still remember the first time I heard "Stairway to Heaven." To a stupid young freshman it just blew me away!
