  1. Check your local Craigslist and Face Book Marketplace. Used Floes, (and others) pop up from time to time.
  2. Check out . http://www.boatlifthelper.com/ . floating attatchment to facilitate moving a 4 post lift. Shoremaster may also have the screw level legs as an option.
  3. My son, a 36 / 15 off skier is looking at colleges with ski teams he could be a part of next year. Mostly looking @ Florida, and Carolinas. Can anyone reccomend one with the pluses and minuses of the academics and the ski team? He would like to compete and ski with the team.
  4. How much does your level fluctuate? Is it daily or over the course of the summer? Properly set up a standing lift can be easily moved with boat lift helper, (air bag system). also aids in moving to shore to remove at end of season, provided the fluctuation is over time, not tidal. My lift goes in in May and out when kids leave for school in Sept. I have had Harbormaster canativer lift, Nyman water lift, vertical Shoremaster, and now a Floe. I like the ease of leveling the flow. The quietness of the screw jack 24v dc motor and with a canopy my boat stays dry and uncovered all season without the sun beating on the interior. Having had countless lifts and boats on them over the years I have never had any hull damage issues. My bunk placement mimics the trailer spacing. I have a beach/boat ramp on my property. With a crank up pontoon trailer, seasonal launching and removing are a one man operation. I've only seen Hydro Hoist used in a marina setting where water was calm so I can't offer any help there.
  5. Having used both Soft Tube and Dakine TSA agents treat your Dakine stuff better. #2 when you have to unload the case because two ski cases and the smaller than you bargained for rental car require removing skis the Soft cases fold up and stow better.
  6. Went with the Edge and Wileys rear boot. Just tried today in course and noticeable improvement!
  7. When I scroll through the titles, find one I like, go to it and either read and or res[pond and are finished, I click arrow back only to have to start over, read the whole list of titles till I get to the one I was just on to continue other subjects. My question is whether there is a way to highlight the last or all the subject titles I've opened? Or is there another way to move on without starting from scratch?
  8. I strattled a car trailer with my Floe. The legs were outside the deck but not obnoxiously so. I too trailered it on back roads, and down Main St but on a Sunday morning and got through undetected. I did take the canopy apart and laid it inside the lift. Centered it was only 9" over on each side.
  9. Thanks ballsohard, I don't really have a try before you by option here and don't want make an expensive mistake.
  10. Ok, RE Reflex, now there is a grey 4.0 a white, and a black, each with stiffness differences. Which is the preferred version for most slalom skiers?
  11. With both price similarly which would be the best choice for my 17 son? He is currently on Radar double boots and wants to do the fixed with Riley real combo. Many of you have used both. Which is the preferred binding? The choice is the Reflex or the Edge.
  12. I bought my Team 200 OB with a tower to have some ability to pull a skier or wakeboarder when family is visiting. I use the tower as a handicap entrance to assist getting on an off the boat. For general purposes I could do without it!
  13. About 3 years ago my son was skiing @ LaPoints and we met Ali there. She was very pleasant to us and was up and coming then. Wish her all the best!
  14. Orange label for regular, green lable for light . Just like the course and the mini course!
  15. I used to do them all the time until I had to wear a knee brace. Totally wiped my hamstring and since retired that procedure.
  16. Line off Lager ......it get's you by the balls!
  17. If you look up Bryant 200 you'll get a v6 powered i/o family bow rider.
  18. I've been to JT's a couple times with my boy. I love that place. Lelani makes you feel like family. Chris, JT and the crew are great but there is something mystical about Jack. He is an encyclopedia of water ski knowledge. My back yard is the site of 1st televised nationals (1964) He knew more about that tournament than I do and I was there. Jack worked with my sone and he learned more with Jack in one session than he has with any one!
  19. According to ski club, boats have been found!
  20. Problem in the Northeast is there are very few opportunities to try before you buy. Most of the time we buy used. The green Vapor Lithium is the ski he had a bad fall with and just never felt right on that ski. The Mapple T3, and all the 2018+ Pro built's in 66" are disappearing faster than a magic trick. At his age distractions are plenty making time short on a already short season. I was hoping to start on something new. We may just have to go another season on the Senate.
  21. Blake, had a green Lithium 66. He skied ok on it. I think that ski got him into 34, @ 15 and maybe even a 22 off. He took a good wipe out and after that went back to his Senate. He was either intimidated or scared of the Vapor. This was 2 years ago. He is ready for something to progress again. I spotted the Mapple in his size and heard on good about those. I was told that at 15/22 off 34 the 67 would be ok because of his height and if he did spring up over night he wouldn't instantly out grow, I am basically got it down to between Mapple T3 and 66 Pro build.
  22. I have a boy outgrowing his 65 Senate Alloy. We have a chance to get a Mapple T3 or buy a Radar Pro Build Vapor. Priced the same. Mapple 66" Radar 67" or a 66 Radar?. He is 17,5'10, 140lbs. skiing 34 and moving to 36. Which would be the better choice for him?
  23. Again with the obvious. Is there an ignition cut off that may be tripped or the deadman tether kill switch bumped loose?
  24. The rolling resistance of a FTB is much greater than a conventional MB or a 29er. So if your sticking to sand, snow ir graound that is soft the FTB is great. If you ever want to ride on hard pack dirt or pavement the other style is much more suited. I agree on a name brand used, over a box store new! ($.02)
  25. Your speed and line length only changes after you complete a left, and then a right run.
