  1. Front and rear holes have the "T" washers that go between the plate and the ski to allow the ski to flex. The Nylon? Washers go between the plate and the ski on the middle holes to keep the plate centered. i.e. allows the ski to flex around the centre point of the plate.
  2. @Horton Looking at the boat seems to work pretty well for April! I believe there is no "Correct" place to look and by adjusting where you look can make some drastic changes. Personally I'm a Buoy Looker, then back of boat which seems to hold my head in line with the next turn buoy. This seems to help me stay as still as possible through the finish of my turn and lean.
  3. Wish I'm 5'11 176lb and on an 66.5 S2 Skiing into 38@34mph Have not found the S2 to be slow at Longer line lenghts at all, have actually found it to be a lot faster with less effort, compared to 66.25 A1 It would be very hard to go wrong with the S2 as Ed has mentioned in other threads.
  4. oooo somewhere around 1991 would have been 28mph on a public course in a river, skied my first tourny not long after that, may have had an all nighter beforehand, no sleep, borrowed car to get there, borrowed ski, borrowed jacket, borrowed gloves and boardies. YEP crashed at one ball and the hangover kicked in. Been working a lot coaching kids and can probably remember everyone that got through for the first time. We ran some Novices (mini course) in conjunction with an "L" Class and had one of my students (11year old girl) run full course for the first time while I was boat judging, the look on her face was priceless and I may not have acted in a proffesional judges way by jumping up in the boat, but who cares!!!!!!!! =)
  5. There is only TWO ways to slow down a Slalom Ski 1.Get on the Front of the ski. 2. Get on the back of the ski. AND THREE. Edge change on time!!!!
  6. evolski that sounds so similar to my experience it's not funny! It took me into 38 for the first time and it felt easy! Also on a 66.5 and am 175lb was also on an A1. Feels a lot easier than the A1 which I am certainly enjoying but also feels very solid/stable on the water as well. 6.866 2.509 .770 8 degrees 29 1/4 I think from memory?? Am back in Winter now and have not had a chance to play with settings but it is working very well with these numbers
  7. Been on the FM "E's" for a couple of seasons now and love them. Got them due to similar issues with ankles (need reconstruction) and my ankles feel the best while in the boot. Have had no problems with them at all.
  8. Been on it for about 5 weeks and ran down the line to within a buoy of my PB first set. Then set a new PB after about 10 sets. On a 66" and think that is all that is available ATM. Has a stepped bottom like the Co-x.
  9. Hey all, So have stopped stalking and finally signed up and am interested to see if anyone is on the new S2 Yet?????? Have skied 5 or 6 sets on it and have twice skied to within a buoy of my PB (6@12m)
