  1. @aswinter05 wait until your at Coble, Chris Eller had a season on the Co X sl and will be able to help you out with setup "if needed"
  2. @jhughes not on spa weeks or adult weeks, party on the Wednesday night =) @aswinter05 you will have a blast there at that time of year, very relaxed envioroment. Go easy on the Banana pudding!!
  3. @Wish I have used this for press releases for our local Tournys for Journos/reporters that know nothing about our sport.Seem to work pretty well as whenever they do any stories they seem to get it right (Most of the time!! =) )
  4. I'll second that put a 17 year old girl on mine and she ran from 30mph 15 off straight through to 1ball 34mph 22off only a buoy or two of her practice PB First set!!!
  5. I had to free ski a LOT when I changed to hardshells, at least you got to 2 ball, I just kept going straight at 1!! =)
  6. @Than Bogan S2 was realeased in 2011 at Masters, was on a production model in June 2011 =) Been feeling the love ever since!!
  7. @Phil2360 Mildura VIC. Am sure that I saw the CoX SL in the 2013 Catalouge?????? Typically skis do not make it here until Oct Nov. I'll do a little more checking on 2013 models this week. The other option you have is to find a dealer with last years model that you may get a deal on.
  8. @Phil2360 Where in Aus are you???? Most HO dealers in Aus should be offered skis to purchase at a reduced rate to use as Demos. AND Sports Image (Aussie distributor) also have a range of Demo skis that dealers can get hold of to run Demo Days. Radar do a similar program as well, Senate C is a good option too. As for the 2 skis, I've been on S2 66.5" for a little over 12 months and have not had a single issue with it, VERY user freindly ski and am similar weight to you. Typically we do not get the high water temps that others post on here get which could be the reason the 67's felt big IMHO. Have aslo seen plenty of people on CoX SL and seems to be a sweet ride as well, I'm also a big believer of you will adapt and get used to what you ride, i.e. pretty sure there is not a bad ski on the market!
  9. @Triplett cannot pre release out of FM E's this is the main reason I went with this system as had seen a couple hard shell systems pre release and well,,, it did not look like fun!! =)
  10. Been on FM "E's" for about 3 seasons now and have not had any issues other than routine stuff (Loose screws) Went to hard shells as could not use rubber anymore (Dodgy ankle) and the thought of something pre releasing is not for me. Have not actually come out of the boots yet but have felt them "Half go" a few times at about the same point my ankle gives a little "GET ME OUTTA HERE" so know they are suited to me well. Have a mate with same binding setup and have seen him come out of his a couple of times when you would expect. Took me a while to get in sync with them at the start and had placement issues as well ( Came of Approaches ) ended up running them 10mm further forward on ski. Hope this helps.
  11. FYI Current Australian Open Mens record is 2@10.25m (41) Held by Nick Adams. Coble Staff are always a good group to be around and work with. Been good enough to have 2 come "Down Under" and stay, work and Ski with me. Can't wait to get back there again!
  12. Guessing 6 or 7 degrees celsius =( not game enough to touch it!
  13. The Brown snakes that swim across our course occasionally are a bit of a worry, however the 8 foot long goannas don't seem bothered by us at all =)
  14. Another good idea is to ski beside her and have her drop a ski, it is pretty easy to hold the back of their life jacket to stabalise them. Gives them the feel of Skiing on one ski which will in turn make deep water starts easier. Def use tower if you have one.
  15. + 1 on Couture or Lyric can't go wrong with either, both are available in 65" which will suit your size. Both will cover a wide range of ability so you should not "Out Ski" them in a hurry. 2013 HO Triumph may be an option too but yet to see other than in catalouge.
  16. Start Driving, judging and organizing tournys and you will not have time to get the jitters before you ski, my warm up at our local tournys is usually running to the dock to be on time to ski!!!! Away from local tournys (and local for that matter) I find that if I concentrate on one thing seems to work really well. For me that is the timing of my Gate pull out, as soon as I'm out of the water I look for the pre gate and REALLY concentrate on where it is in relation to the boat. Our Gate is the most important part of our pass as it sets up the tempo, if you can get this right most of the pass is muscle memory. Hope this helps.
  17. @schroed Down under we run with you may ski in any division that you are age appropriate for i.e. a 43 year old skier may ski in the Over 21 division but must abibe by that divisions max speed i.e. 58k an 48 year old may also choose to ski in a lesser age division as well e.g. O35's as he is Over 35! This system works works really well allowing "older" skiers chasing Open Ratings the ability to do so AND best of all it's simple!!
  18. Cobles are not that far from there and they will be open 2 Saturdays in June.
  19. Funny you say that, I only run the one buckle on the front boot as felt they were too sensitive, (especailly when coming off rubber) will try it again next season. We still have an Xlt here with 350chev, soft slutch and pp classic that we use at the start of the season to "get in shape" super soft to ski behind with tiny wake is easy on the body. It is Brown metal flake and affectionately called "Brown Dog" =)
  20. I agree the "E" series is an awesome product, have just finished my third season on them and have only just had my first "Breakage" the Shim that runs down the inside of the front boot cracked in 2. Easy and cheap to fix was back on water and next set was first round at Nationals!! Liners are only just staring to show a little wear and will replace cord lacing over Winter. With putting them on try leaving the liner in the boot, I found this a lot easier. Luvin the flighty too! Did a lot of my early Tourny skiing behind an Xlt with 225hp Yamaha (at Bedrock, Blanchetown) and our first boat was a Flighty Dominator with 200hp Johnson. If your wanting to know any setup tips for the boat try getting in touch with Peter Kent at Regal Marine. I spoke to him at length a few months back about how he used to set them up for Moomba.
  21. hahaha Mate has been out of town so will tag you in on a photo on FB down the track, basically he made a PVC sleeve to fit over the pylon with foam tape inside and a slot for the rope, glued a dome top on and drilled a hole to mount the camera.
  22. @Jwroblew Dropped to 55k yet?? =) Will get a photo of a mates PVC camera mount that slips over pole for you. Not super crisp but inexpensive, and good enough for self assesment.

    Slow boat.

Slipping Trans??? If your getting a true 5k rpm I doubt it will be an engine issue.
