  1. @GZ22 unless the skier is a lightweight on a wide body ski , I suspect they will barely stay on plane at that speed. My gf's son is 13 and just dropping his combo ski now and skis at 30 he weighs 75 pounds and skis on juniors , there was no disrespect meant by it , I just find that any thing below 30 is simply to slow on a non wide body ski , it's physics .
  2. I saw this and sent it to my ski buddy who has a thing for the old supra's , he is thinking of going to get it ... he just sold his 89.
  3. Oneill Revenge Comp with the built in lumbar .
  4. @GZ22 you will NEVER need a wing on that ski and @lpskier Connelly Aspect does not ship with the viper fin it ships with the drop through aluminum (no wing). Someone previously posted a speed of 24-25 mph for a beginning slalom free ski , we have NEVER towed anyone slower than 29 free skiing on one ski , my 122 lb g/f free skis at 31. Good luck to a fellow canuck and enjoy.
  5. @JoelR fwiw I have skiied in my contacts for 30 years and have not so much as lost ONE , I wear monthly disposables and have just recently switched from traditional soft lense to "newer" silicone lense and no difference ... they seem to stay in place. If I were to lose one I have another I can replace it with. Good luck!
  6. Ok I have been slalom skiing for 31 years this summer and since joining BOS have been "told" I am gripping my handle wrong and after looking at images online of several of the top left foot forward skiers I took note that indeed they have there left palm facing "down" ... I have tried switching but MAN it feels weird ... interestingly enough one of the best LFF skiers of all time Lucky Lowe has the same grip left palm "up" as I . Does it make that much of a difference? , should I stick with trying to break this old habit ? Thanks in advance .
  7. @savaiusini I had a hard enough OTF this past weekend wearing my EXO pros and I suspected it should of released and like @BraceMaker stated I was fortunate enough that I lock them down snug and both stayed in. The question came up that perhaps the vrs has failed due to use in saltwater , can you share some insight ? Was the VRS constructed of stainless as it does not appear to have any corrosion. Is there a way to test this system out of the water . Thanks in advance and @kylegansel sorry to highjack your thread. Direct connects are not an option on my 2012 A2.
  8. Thanks @Killer will do. I had lost that document on my cell phone when it went to bottom of river ... will let you know.
  9. @Killer Will's settings work for 65.5 just change boot location ? @savaiusini any old advice ? Was Greg on a 65.5 ?
  10. Resurrecting an old post in hopes of getting some numbers for 65.5 ... TIA
  11. @Connelly_Skis_Inc thanks @"h2o.nhk" thank you too !
  12. @Justin_C I am in PEI ... I feel your pain . I loved the only Connelly product I ever skied and it was the Carbon V but now that I am at 36 I am back on a syndicate. Good luck.
  13. My girlfriend is skiing on a very old Kidder Redline Supreme (womens flex redline) I think it is a 92. She is starting to improve and is carving , wake crossing and inconsistent two foot deeps. I found a FANTASTIC deal on a new 66 SP it is black and baby blue , I just want to make sure it is specific to a woman's flex as she weighs 125 dry and likely about 135-140 wet (depending on whether she is wearing a wetsuit or no) . The ski is a 66" . TIA. @The_Krista @JoelHowley
  14. @LOTW congrats on the purchase , I can only afford my daily rides but happy someone was able to take advantage of this beauty !
  15. Only thing I think NOT mentioned is perhaps allowing the boat to give you a bit of a "glide " before signaling driver to go. FWIW my Dad turned 70 this year and last year was diagnosed with the big C ... he wants to ski this summer but we are unable to find him an "oversize" shaped slalom so he will likely use a drop ski sadly. Good luck!
  16. Hard to believe really ... but available for sale on Canadian kijiji ...
  17. Size nine foot ... the old exo's are starting to get rough. TIA.
  18. @OldboyII BRAVE no way am I testing that way ... well done ! just curious what you have your tension at and your weight with gear ?
  19. @OldboyII ski it you will get used to it I did ... it only took a weekend . I have a love / hate with my exos. Concern of release not working as it should and no way to test it.
  20. @dchristman @skiandbehappy look what I found in the archive ... I turned 18 that summer.
  21. Tip looks identical to new omni , did Bob have anything to do with that lol. Thanks for sharing an AMAZING barn find @dchristman
  22. @Mtea 67 I went with a 65.5 A2 and wish I had gone 66.5 cause guess what? ... you will gain weight and by the sounds of it you stay with your ski's a while.
  23. I had a post on here last year if anyone remembers and @MarcusBrown came through with a replacement fin ... it too is corroding , I religiously rinse my gear with fresh water and as a previous poster mentioned I now soak the entire bottom of ski in a 5 gallon bucket of fresh after every session AFTER rinsing with hose. It does not seem to help. I think the issue is some salt sediment gets trapped in the grooves between ski, plates, fin, fin box , clamps as they all have a tell tale sign of white residue when the ski comes out in the late spring. Is there a product that "creeps" that anyone can recommend ? I am afraid of affecting the actually top sheet of the ski by using a petroleum based product (not to mention I don't want to put into the environment) Nice post @Horton
  24. I would just like to be educated on how to build one in a river ... if anyone has instructions other than to buy an ez-slalom. TIA
  25. @Billbert the Radar Hybrid RTP is not designed as a "kicker" it is meant for two foot deeps. Do you have pics of it I may be interested if you still have it. TIA
