  1. Just delivered the 2001 GEKKO GTR to the new owner. He is one lucky guy to have a PRISTINE boat that has a fantastic wake for slalom and barefoot.I know he will enjoy it.Now what's next for this old guy.....I will let you know soon
  2. Its a 2016 Gekko GTR I am curious about that engine as I recall some issues I thought I read on this site or another.I know for some skiers these smaller HP engines were under powered for skiing
  3. That is what's in the boat. Its a 350 GM block which I think is approx 310 HP
  4. Anyone have any experience with this engine.Any comments would be appreciated....thanks
  5. NO....If it works out I will have another great boat on my lift.I have owned this boat fo many yrs
  6. Just received my package from s-lines with new handle and rope. Also had another handle re strung.Great service and great products. Now if someone would buy my 2001 GEKKO which is priced really low for a PRISTINE BOAT I can put my new boat on the lift and ski with my new ropes and handles.THANKS S-LINES.........
  7. @kmenard Thanks......I think you are right. These are fantastic boats you just have to drive and ski them to find out how fantastic they really are.
  8. @6balls Thanks for the comments. The boat is everything you say it is.I am actually buying another GEKKO GTR.Only a newer one.NEW PRICE IS $14,000 FANTASTIC BOAT THAT IS LIKE BRAND NEW AND ALSO FANTASTIC WAKE FOR SLALOM AND BAREFOOT........
  9. @chaloux NO Idid not someone else bought that boat.......
  10. Its not a little boat......21 7 in length and the beam is 93 I think.Driving is like a sports car and according to water ski mag it tracks like its on a rail
  11. I bought this boat from Mark Overbye in 2001 and it has been on the 5th clearest lake in the state of Minnesota for its entire life.I sold the boat to a family on the lake in 2016 and their son skied on the Stout state university ski team.In 2022 I bought the boat back and have used it the past 2 yrs.The 350 MAG Mercruiser MPI has approx 650 hrs, heater, hot and cold shower, all gauges, stereo, cover, single axle trailer with spare tire and swing away tongue.I have owned MANY MANY boats including Malibus.Mastercrafts, Nautique and carbon pro and this wake is fantastic for slalom and certainly barefoot. This has been really taken care of and is the cleanest 2001 boat anywhere.Come drive and ski it and if its not the newest looking 2001 boat I will buy you lunch.Contact Ron at 218-851-2801 for details..........$14,900
  12. @RednucleusThis one is beyond PRISTINE!!
  13. SOLD!! Another boat is coming on the market soon.......THIS ONE IS PERFECT!! STAY TUNED
  14. @BrennanKMN I agree with you......The 196 is a fantastic slalom tractor
  15. This 2009 196 was bought in 2019 in Louisiana from I think from the original owner.Chad Scott well known driver and slalom skier knew the boat and owner. He verified to me that the boat was in excellent condition and the owner really took care of it.At the time of purchase the boat hd approx 1100 hrs and today it has 1228 hrs.I think its the Limited edition with all of the bells and whistles which include ZERO OFF,FULL GAUGE PACKAGE,PCM EX 343,STEREO, FIBERGLASS PLATFORM, HYDROGATE and a single axle galvanized trailer with new tires and a spare. The owner of the boat is a young female real estate agent who enjoys slalom skiing on the whitefish chain of lakes inCrosslake,MN.Also has a new cover.Only reason the boat is for sale is due to her buying a 2023 Nautique 200.Boat has been winterized by local marine dealer every fall and stored inside heated storage. The boat is MINT CONDITION AND PRICED AT $30,000........This is below book value and certainly what the market value would be.Come and ski and drive your new boat soon.....This is a great boat at a great price.Contact Ron at 218-851-2801 for any questions..........
  16. I have a 2009 196 with approx 1200 hrs with zero off loaded and in pristine condition.Purchased by a young female slalom skier in 2019 and only used on a northern MN clean chain of lakes.Complete set of photos and more info coming SATURDAY APRIL 27TH......BEST OF ALL THE PRICE!! Tune in Saturday.....
  17. I weigh around 175 depending on the day and being old it seems to fluctuate.I seem to be right on the bubble when choosing between 66 or 67 ski.I seem to choose the 67 more and I am curious to what are the benefits for a longer ski.I have heard that a longer ski gives you more surface area and you won't tire out as fast.So ballers help me out on this issue.....Whats better for an old guy...I only open water ski at 34 to 36 mph depending on conditions
  18. Just curious any ballers skiing this ski.I think I did a demo on this ski back in 2020 and did not like it. I assume they have changed this ski since 2020 and I can buy a new one for less then a used one.Any skier input would be most appreciated I can at least have it in my boathouse as a backup ski.I am currently skiing a 2023 KD platinum and like it however always looking for new skis to enjoy......thanks
  19. Is anybody tried the bent handle made by slines? I like the ropes and have been using us gear and intow handles.Just curious how their handles work and compare to the other ones.Any info would be appreciated......
  20. I bought in 1999 and retired in 2001 and was skiing everyday.I pretty much had the lake to myself.Since 2020 due to the pandemic and civil unrest all of the lots are sold and more people are here full time in the summer. Its way too busy to ski at times......
  21. How do these compare to the stokes vest?? I need a new one......Any comments will be appreciated
