  1. @Horton Which goode skis did you really like and I think rated one of them at the top of your list??
  2. Babes products are fantastic and I have been using them for years. And yes I am sure it will be slippery however a great product.
  3. I had a Goode ski probably 15 yrs ago and have not skied one since.I see on the goodedealz website they have the older models available now for less money.Does anyone have any info on how the XTR OR NANO 1 XT performs.I have owned the top Radar,D3 and HO skis however just thought I would try a Goode due to many skiers enjoying them. These refurb skis can't be returned so any info would be great.I know @Horton rated some of the Goode line as his fav skis.Remember I am an old guy that usually skis at 34mph on a shortline rope and enjoys the thrill of going fast and cutting in open water skiing on a public lake.Any info would be most appreciated.....
  4. @Ski2000 Not really its tougher now to find that one and they do less for you.!!
  5. @6balls Just looking its a tough market.Things are ok the knees and thumbs are really old......thx for checking
  6. I know of a couple carbon pros for sale one on SIA and only inboards.Any ballers know of any other ones for sale.........
  7. @MitchellM This boat if its legit is going to be a good buy for someone. If I were you I would contact the seller and ck into it further.Go drive and ski it.....If it feels good to you buy it
  8. This boat looks really nice and I think someone in another post contacted the seller or had info.If this boat is legit it would be a good buy for someone.I left a msg for the seller however have not heard back.Anyone have info on this boat would be great......
  9. Its great to see all of the comments and I think we all agree things are very expensive. @Horton you are right about the corvette they are also like many things we all enjoy have gotten very pricey.Look at how expensive skis and all of our equipment has gotten.Docks and lifts here in the midwest are crazy expensive just having our stuff put in and taken out every yr is going up.I LOVE TO SKI and will continue to do so however I buy used and always shop around for the best deal.
  10. I love the sport and have been doing it for over 60 yrs however it is very expensive. Not only boats have gone up but look at skis that are selling for $2200 add costs of bindings ropes gloves and everything else.I probably burn 300 gallons of gas every summer and my supplier last summer wanted $1.25 more a gallon to deliver. I will continue to ski however usually buy used .....
  11. I do the same when I buy my Harleys don't buy from the dealer due to inflated prices.......Plus the private party can give me info on the history of the item I am buying
  12. I always bought all of my boats from private partys due to talking with the owner able to get more info on the boat and also you can see how they take care of their cars home and what else is there.Plus the boats are always cheaper and no sales tax where I live.
  13. @dave2ball IN MN. we do not pay sales tax on a boat if bought from a private party.Only sales tax on the trailer.......
  14. I am sure all of us are not happy with the cost of boats today.Unless you are @Horton who has a new one every yr. I think a 2023 MC PS probably is around $120,000. Now you can find a 2022 MC PS with low hrs for $89,000. And others in between those prices depending on hrs and equipment. What I think is really different is what people are asking for their boats in comparison to others. You can get a 2019 Ski Nautique for $103,000.Now if most folks seem to think the MC PS is better who would spend $14000 more for a 3yr older boat. Now I know that Ski Nautique probably has a higher MSRP AND SOME FOLKS ARE BRAND SPECIFIC like one of my ski partners.Or a 2014 CC 200 CB FOR $67,500 or a 2015 cc 200 for $49,000. I think they are similar boats however almost $20,000 difference.Pretty much same hrs and equipment.Or how about a 2022 Malibu with 30 hrs for $88,000 and I bet I can buy it for less. Now for me I can say the big 3 boats would work for me and I probably would not notice Abig difference for my use for slalom and barefoot. Now I know some of you will say you can't compare any 2 boats nd certainly not different brands well they all do the same thing.Even the older boats have gone up to ridiculous prices. How about a 2008 cc196 low hrs and you can have it for $45,000. I bought a mint 2009 cc 196 in July of 2019 for $22,000 less and today its still skiing no. mn lakes.Oh well I think if you are in the mkt today shop around drive and ski the different boats and I think you can find one that will work for you.
  15. @MitchellM If you buy from a dealer you will pay more for the boat and probably sales tax.On a high end boat that's a lot more money. You have to drive and ski the boats I think to make an informed decision that will work for you.If a $40 to $50k boat will satisfy your needs why buy one at 2 times or more of the cost.Even living in Florida how many hrs will you put on a boat in a yrs time. The engine in these boats if taken care of will last 2500 to 3000 or more hrs and certainly the boat itself is endless.Good luck and post photos of the new ski machine.......
  16. In this mkt from my years of buying/selling boats its worth whatever someone is willing to pay. What really dictates a boats value is condition and also location. People don't want to travel far or ship a boat for whatever reason.I bought some boats really cheap in Texas Louisiana and states that are more difficult to get to.I would guess what some of the ballers have posted here might be right however do what @swc5150 said .Pull the cash out of your pocket and see what the seller says.
  17. I bought my 2011 CP in 2020 and it was in pristine condition.Yes does the CP and GEKKO boats probably have cheaper vinyls carpet and other things used then the big 3. I would say yes however my experience is if taken care of things last a long time. And for me the fit and finish of the boat does not make me a better skier.I owned many of the big 3 boats and still have one however I don't think they lasted as long or longer as far as appearance as the cheaper boats. The CP I think has a very nice interior and I would certainly buy another one......
  18. @Horton Not sure what you are saying however none of my boats have ever been kept in temperature controlled storage and all of my boats are ski tractors. I live in Northern Minnesota where our seasons are short however the summer of 2022 I skied about 110 times. I ski open water at 34 to 36 mph and its about 2.50 miles each run we take. My ski partner does the same so my boats get used in a short season probably every day.
  19. @Horton I bought back my 2001 Gekko GTR last yr and now its 22 yrs old and looks like new.The vinyls carpet and other items I am sure were not top of the line however this boat was taken care of and looks better then all of the big 3 boats that I bought or looked at due to being taken care of.Sure fit and finish and items are not the best however if taken care of things last. And to be honest the Gekko and CP sold for more then the big 3 as far as original price. They both had better re sale and I think for me both boats are better in many ways.Fit and finish won't make me a better skier and really its how you take care of things that will make it last.
  20. I owned a 2011 Carbon Pro and have to say it ranks up at the top as a favorite boat.I thought it was well made and certainly has a great wake and pull. How many ballers still have one of these boats and I would like to hear some thoughts on how it compares to the older and even newer boats of today. Really wish it was still being made.Any thoughts??
  21. Mark Overbye of Gekko boats I think was making them from 1996 to 2009 and then made a comeback in 2015 making a few GTR boats which were a great ski boat.I still own a 2001 GTR and have owned many direct drive boats to include carbon pro, Malibu, mc and Nautique and still think the Gekko is one of my favorite boats. However it was difficult to compete against the big 3......
  22. @WishMy neighbor posted that on our lake website the other day.......Only thing is our lake is frozen
  23. Great video.many many yrs ago we pulled a dozen up all on 2 skis.Where is your lake located it sure looks beautiful.......
  24. @MitchellM I think all of the boats are good quality and it comes down to personal likes and dislikes.I would drive all of them and if you can ski the boats.Remember you are spending lots of money for a boat and I think you want one you are going to be happy with. The market now seems to have many newer boats like 2020 to 2022 for sale so I have seen where you can pick up a 2022 for a lot less then a new 2023.Enjoy the boat shopping and post photos of the new purchase.......
  25. @swbca Ck with Malibu store in Excelsior they might do it and their shop is west of the dealer......
