  1. Great skiing!! Radar Vapor? The site looks amazing,...where is it? The wakeye seems to be bounced every time the boat gets hit. Having a buddy hold the iPad can be a pain but there are no bumps in the excellent footage.
  2. Wow, I finally get to see one of the Big Dawgs from the forum ski! Stack is great as expected at -28, breaks down at -32 going from 1 to 2 ball. You seem to be all over the place with your trunk. You Reach is toward the wake on the 1-3-5, and you Release the handle toward the pylon on the 2-4-6. I am RFF also and was doing the same thing. Once I spotted it about a month ago and began to release toward the pylon it made a big difference.
  3. The progressive gate; not getting on the handle from the glide 100% until the 1st white water helped me immensely with getting a good one ball!
  4. @Waternut 'junk maintenance' is never good when your rounding the island getting ready for a monster pass!
  5. @Horton the simpler the better for me. What you described is pretty much what i did last night. The balance is coming off the pull but staying on the handle and squeezing the elbow to the vest to keep it moving out. This is something that is feeling more natural!
  6. I am close to running -28 but spending a lot of time at -22 to hard wire all the foundational stuff. A lot of folks speak of keeping the handle outbound. Some say back arm pressure, Nicole Arthur said it's building speed early & being closed off to the boat which gives her space to counter rotate resulting in skiing away from the handle. So for a guy like me who can only process so much in the course at once what are some good methods to try? Don
  7. Bry, the Hammer's are what I opted for, glad to hear the 'Boys' will stay warm! Scottchipman the Eagles looked great but I had bought the Hammers this am.
  8. Shorts ideas only please. I have a long sleeve top, thanks!
  9. I recently got the camaro motec .5 mm long sleeve top and love it. I was thinking of a light layer for under board shorts. Any recommendations! Thickness, brands, models, links?
  10. I turn way too hard (a -22) and do not make a lot of effort to fix it because its fun. How does one have a powerful finished tun with out killing it? I like what Horton said -'Own the stack', I think my offside stack owns me..
  11. This is where I am coming from! I trimmed the peeling material and it works just fine. Duct tape will be next!
  12. Site looks awesome. Excellent counter rotation by the skier!
  13. @Than_Bogan Scott could describe this in person better than I with words. He coached down at Acapulco for 25 seasons and has helped me become a better skier this year!
  14. I cut the material (pictured) that is peeling away on my rear boot liner. I was mildly concerned the foam without this material might not release my foot? what do you all think?? It was way more comfy skiing today with out this material bunching up in the boot. Just trying to make it last through Oct. I have a replacement but this one is broke in!
  15. Scott Rabeneau came to our lake and gave me a cool on land drill; get in your on dock pull position, then rock onto the soles of your feet and hold that. this is what you should be doing through the center of the wakes.
  16. Where we ski, both in the public lake and at our club lake rattlers swim. The biggest concern is currently they den up on the lower slopes that are dry (drought), then Lord willing when the public lake fills up they are either flushed and swimming or drown.
  17. As a newbie to the sport the strada got me to -22 and 34mph last fall. It allowed me to make up a lot of mistakes via sick angle. The Vapor however, promotes a powerful finished turn and is more stable across the wakes. Way better ski overall.
  18. Man thats big! The trouble with the small ones is a) you do not see them and b) they cannot control their venom so you get it ALL............Can you spot the baby in this pic?
  19. Cali foothills. Same county as Yosemite -Tuolumne
  20. This is exactly like the one that got me,....small but deadly. This was taken last summer just after I spotted him under my studio porch. He did not survive.
  21. We killed this one in the boat house at Sunspray lake last fall. I had just walked by it as it hid in wait. My buddy heard it and got it with a shovel -forget the golf club. A flat shovel works like a charm!
  22. Seven days later I rounded 4 ball @-28, matching a PB! @Brady any future snakes I encounter will be quickly dispatched!
  23. Why am I not seeing the option to load pics??? No skin,...he was a little guy. Northern pacific rattler. I have a pic of one that looked exactly like him I killed last year if I can load it. still planing to ski Sunday despite the MD and my wife's advice.
