  1. Santa brought the girls an Indo Board for Christmas. How convenient (grin). Can this be related to slalom ski position in any way? I'm a 15 off'r and struggle with equal front/back foot balance on the ski. Might this help? I can tell you this, on the board, when one foot gets too much weight, its over. Should the balance point be between the feet? It currently is at the front heel. Front knee bent enough? Too much rear heel lift (not flexible enough). I'd like to see a balanced skier on the board to get an idea of what it should look like. Any thoughts? Any relevancy? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0EMWW_AkeOg
  2. Jody, its suppose to be in the high 70's this weekend (hint)
  3. Horton, your place is awesome! The area looks like an outdoorsman's paradise. Jealous!
  4. Why not two boats and no compromise? Doesn't get much better slalom wake than a 90's SN or MC. In good to excellent condition they can be had for $10K (I've got a 1997 190 with only 300 hrs I'd sell for that).
  5. FrankS, I can have it rolling to you Monday!
  6. Not only under rated, but under priced too! Lots of bang for the buck.
  7. OKSkier, same problem here. Palm, beside the strap, wore a hole quickly.
  8. Appreciate the heads up. I need to order another pair. I can't imagine a customer discovering such a vast difference.
  9. Super Light (SL) model. One summer of use, less than two sets per week. Good as new. ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?topic=Search&category=Slalom&postid=25914
  10. ral, so says my boat driver. I have not skied enough to realize that the difference between skis can be so huge. This Nano is a rocket! (maybe it IS rocket science)
  11. Its not rocket science and really doesnt even matter, but fun to think about as the temps drop. As always, especially after looking at Hortons survey and the fact that most everyone here has been skiing a long time, I will qualify this post by stating that I am a newbie. I skied yesterday for the first time on a new ski. I have skied at least once per week since late March. I have had no blisters this year, until yesterday on the new ski. After only 5 passes a blister developed below the callus. Same gloves, handle, etc. as all year, the only thing that changed was the ski. RFF, left hand up. The new ski is MUCH faster, for me anyway. Went from a HO CO X SL to Nano Mid.
  12. With the high number of private lake skiers I would have guesstimated that the number of non boat owners would be much higher than 6%. Good news for ski builders, the less than one year old skis and intentions to buy a new one in a year is high. Not many new skiers here. Apparently boat builders look at the income surveys too, as does Goode.
  13. "the green is .........i cant think of the word!" I can think of a word, but horton said be nice........
  14. John, would you pick the Strada or Vapor for your wife? The Strada has a reputation of "can't miss" for the beginner and intermediate skier. Is the Vapor as sure of a bet?
  15. Well, not getting to ski as much as I would like. I recon I must face reality. At this stage of my life a bunch of skiing is not in the cards when the nearest lake is 40 minutes away. I've been averaging less than two sets a week. Progress seems very slow but I recon I can't expect much skiing as little as I do. I'm stacked a little better, still a bunch of room to grow. Still need to straighten my back leg. The video is four passes at 30 mph from yesterday. On the last pass I lost it going to 5 but before that it was the most smooth, solid pass of the day. Also, in some of the passes the trick plate was engaged (by accident). At least I know there's a decent edge through the wakes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cuz9agFn_k
  16. Thanks! I have absolutely no internal hip rotation. Anxious to try these techniques. Appreciate it.
  17. Want to ski at Lake 38 this afternoon. I'm feeling a little sick (cough, cough), might have to leave work early. :). But never have to worry about my wife. Anything to get me away :)
  18. cragginshred, much appreciate your input. Is there any stretching videos you can recommend?
  19. First bought blue. Had no trouble with the strength to do it, but the pain was unbearable. Move down to green and it is perfect.
  20. Ed, thanks for the picture of the anchor wanker. Looks simple and handy. Is that a trailer hitch ball mounted on the top? Can't see it good.
  21. George, appreciate the detail. Sounds like a plan.
