  1. Yes. it was wards boat. It is an '08. I've owned it since last year. i would beg to differ on the hours. It was converted it in '08 from perfect pass to ZO to my knowledge. I skied behind it at regionals as it a promo boat in the south central. Let me know if you have interest. 2 one 4- five 3 six, nine 3 seven seven. chris springs. thx
  2. My Vapor kinda started peeling a bit wear my handle was scrapping it. I know it was me because I bought 4 vapors and my kids and wifes all look perfect. my handle looks like s--- too because of wear it is rubbing the ski. again, my fatass leaning into the ski.. I took an exacto and cut About a 1/16" wide area and about 2" long off. It looked like a green sticker. There was a hard layer underneath the green. It doesn't bother me cause I've a bunch of 38's on that ski and it looks manly. Check you ski bag and other areas were u might of rubbed it. take care.. chris
  3. @Mattp thanks.. I looked at the OB4 system earlier in the year. I'll be looking at any and all systems. It's hard to say what I will end up on. The system I use is a very popular set up. I don't really want to abandon it but I will rethink the "all in " theory. thx again. CS
  4. Well this thread has become near and dear to me as I broke my ankle last Thursday. I've been skiing with a Reflex/ animal set up for 2 years. Before that maybe 4 or five years on an Approach/ animal set up. I've been skiing for 20 plus years and have never been hurt to bad skiing. I'd probably run 10- 38's last week and felt like i had it going pretty well. I kept my release set at 7 because I believed in the "all in" theory. I didn't take too bad of fall. I was sliding on my back. As I lost momentum, the ski caught an edge and fractured my Fibula. Both feet stayed in. Best case scenario, I can make my comeback around the week of regional s or between regional s and nationals with a medical exception. I'm not sure what direction I will take once I get off the sick. But I am thinking of lightening the release of my front binding and loosening my back binder.
  5. I helped @shaneh epoxy the crap out of that thing. it looks pretty good considering what it was put thru.
  6. bako looks creepy with bailey. trent looks like he is dialing CPS :)
  7. nice spray. can you touch your elbow :)
  8. I skied behind a pro skiers team boat in south texas last week. The wakes were awesome from 28 to 38. He said there is an adjustment for throttle response. I have no clue what it is, but he seemed confident it was an easy adjustment.
  9. For me, I like the big dawgers there. Many are former pro's, national champions, and industry icons. To win a nationals, big dawg, or pro event is incredibly difficult. I say the more the merrier.
  10. The gate looks pretty good. As you come into and exit 1,2,3,4,5 your arms are away from your core which makes it difficult to make space. It's kinda like being drug thru the course. Try to maintain that position you have going thru the gate outbound on both sides. Step 2 would be to slow your handle bring back speed to match your turn speed. this will aid in keep a little better body alignment and keep the line tighter. it's the perfect time of year to work on this good luck and good times
  11. oh dear.. it doesn't take long for a dogpile
  12. she is awesome. setting up skis for wifes and kids is a fulltime job. :)
  13. Can't seem to get wifes 65" Vapor dialed in. She runs mid 35's and squeaks thru a few when summer hits. We've tried a bunch of different settings, including Rini's latest but no luck. I like mine, it's a keeper
  14. It's true @teammalibu. I've got to ski with him many times here in Dallas. We all get used to skiing in crosswinds 20 to 25. The water stays in pretty descent shape but you definitely have to stay with it when heading into the wind. Timing is everything. At Dean's Lake, they are professional wind skiers. Head Tail a ton. I go up there with my crosswind prowess and get schooled on head tails. It's all good.. CS over and out
  15. In my past life I sold a ton of panels in Calif. They have tiered elect usage scale. The more you use, the higher the cost per kw. Solar typically won't work for the pump without a battery bank to start the pump. That being said, solar is pretty handy to bank electricity. If your provider allows, during the day your solar would in essence roll the meter backward(banking) and at night when you use the electricity you would use your bank plus some. Over all your plan would be to lower overall kw usage, thus lowering your bill. thank you goodnight
  16. I don't know. We bought my wife a nice suv, it was 74k. I drive a 10 year old truck. We bought a 2008 zo boat last year in the low 20's. I guess its just is what it is. If you want a new anything be prepared to pay and probably overpay. New is expensive.
  17. Hey Chris I rode a ski (unnamed) for about 2 years and skied pretty well on it. The offside gave me a few fits though. I had a former pro skier add some rocker to the ski. For about a 6 week period it was hands down the best ski I'd ever ridden. I was able to relax and just think about me. I rarely missed 38. Unfortunately, adding rocker doesn't always hold. The ski eventually went back to it's original rocker. When building a ski, how do you choose a rocker that works for the masses, and does that work for you.. When buying a ski, are they variances from 1 ski to another. For example, let's use a Strada. Can 1 have a rocker of 1.840 and 1 of 1.900 out of the same mold. In my pea brain, I think I should by 10 skis (Vapors, yes I'm kissing ass at this point) and find the one that works the best for me and my style and clone it. Thanks a ton, Chris S
  18. Here's what I learned from a pro skier this summer. On my A2 my front binding was 29 3/8 and my back 17 1/8. my feet are size 11, so he determined my spread to be 12 1/4. for me keeping to space at 11 3/4 to 12 works the best. so roughly a 3/4 to 1" gap.
  19. maybe we should all watch a few episodes of breaking bad. He's got some cash.. :)
  20. wow.. that looks like a cool place to ski. I too ran many 35's without wing. Somewhere on youtube or maybe in the search box under forum watch Seth Stisher whip drills. I think this would help you get a mental picture of the tempo and stance. Most of us can't ski like Seth, but pick the greatest common denominator. For me, I try to keep my shoulders level and start the turn with my knees. I don't pull it off every time, but that's my goal. good times......
  21. Maybe sending there ski towards shore to earlier is by separating to early. Often you see the edge change and release all at once.
  22. I don't know, my kids love his antics and style. I would love it if he would get out there in the coaching pool
  23. If it is a 2013 go with the 66. IMHO the 66 was the best out of there 2013 line up. t
