  1. I would try the Nano Mid. It is a great ski for 34mph guys. Why are you stuck on Goode? I would try an S2, @horton would agree with me that this a great ski, lots of people ripping on it. Also have you thought of getting yourself into a set of hardshells? I am curious on why you want to go to a less supportive boot. Everyone can benefit from a set of stiffer boots, as long as you don't give into the horror stories of hardshells, because the vast majority have 0 issues.
  2. @jedgell, what system did you go to after the reflex pre-released. I will have to say I have never heard of a reflex releasing across the wake.
  3. I have also used it, not wearing it but as the coach. It is absolutely the coolest thing out there for coaching. Especially for teaching people how to ski. There is no better way. I believe most people can benefit from this product, even though you look dorky wearing it, and everyone initially hates it, they all end up loving it.
  4. @ski6jones, you pre released out of the reflex? That is a risk that is taken with any hardshell system to be honest. The FM single uses a 404 reflex release so it could pre release the same way the reflex did. I find, at least with visual inspection, that there is too much going on with the FM. It is bulky and seems like more could go wrong. I went from the Powershell to a reflex about two years ago and love it. I have released around the ball where it shouldn't have but I just tightened it up a little bit. There are pros and cons to every release system. The Reflex seems the more simple, less can go wrong, of the two. Because when you break it down, they are really close to the same, the FM just has more bulk and more buckles and more bling, basically.
  5. @cwillygood, why did you opt for the FM front and not the Reflex?
  6. A little birdy told me (twitter) that they have production skis and they will be at the big dog in France. I know it doesn't help you @OB but it is start. Give them props though. From concept to production in under a year if I am not mistaken.
  7. Why didn't you get the boots to go with it. It is the total package, just so blue!
  8. I am just giving you crap, @mattP works his a off getting these done for free, good work!!!
  9. *cough* Android Version *cough* :)
  10. All these photos basically say is be lined up on the ski, especially in the edge change. That is the one thing that is common to every single pro, no matter the "style" they ski.
  11. I would just go the old fashion way. That seems a little too far away from the heel to be 100% accurate.
  12. We should just start a thread for the funniest faces we have seen while skiing. There are some good ones!
  13. That would be mine, not Shaws @mattP.
  14. That is why his nickname is what it is, Pretty.
  15. @disland I am super late to the party, haven't been on my laptop in a few days. I would need to see video before doing anything. I would be happy to help you out by looking at a video of an entire set, or at least a walk up the line. But without video I would add depth. That will keep the ski from sliding and skipping out. I had to run 2.515 on my A1 to keep the tail in the water, and it still would slide/kick out at 39.5. My issue was more body position into and out of the ball, once I fixed that I never had a fear of it kicking out on my on-side. Let me know if you need anything else, I would be happy to help.
  16. @horton, stop being so technical and just finish the turn and go. Let me know how that helps. But really, in all seriousness, that is how you maintain or even gain time. Andy told me don't wait for stuff to happen, the boat isn't waiting.
  17. Go big or go home, you can always go back, but then I should have voted .005. Face palm.
  18. I am surprised no one has put this on the forum yet. What do you guys think about this? Are you all going to call and order right away or is it just a marketing thing to sell a few more skis? I am sort of surprised. It is outdated and pretty much the same shape as far as I can tell as the 9900.
  19. The white 41 tails. Might be one of the best gloves I have ever worn. @MS, better than the 200, really?
  20. I would go with a 67.5 bigger is always better. It will carry speed better and be more forgiving. You are riding at about the same weight I am and I like the 67.5, I would even opt for a bigger one if they made it. Let me know how it goes. Make sure to put the bindings back from stock, it will make the ski way better.
  21. Radar P6 is awesome for beginner but as they get up in speed the ski will be too big. But to have this ski on your shelf would be huge for teaching people to ski so it would be a great buy. I have taught a few people how to get up on a single ski with the P6 and it works every time. A higher end ski would be good if there is no issue on getting up and they have good balance on the ski, then go for a more narrow shape.
  22. I just want to get a grasp at where people are putting their bindings on the A2. I have went from stock to 29 7/8 to 29 1/2. Are most of you guys running them back, forward or stock? I was feeling the ski wasn't getting free with them forward and it was confirmed in a set I took yesterday with a guy who knows a thing or two about skis (Adam Cord).
  23. I second @mattp_. They are little crazy with the testing out there I must say!
