  1. I' ve used gas permable lenses for ever. I've never lost one and your vision doesn't change like soft lenses. My wife skis with soft lenses and she has issues on almost every pass.
  2. I have never had my or any other Nautique malfunction with ZO, but when driving the MC and Malibu in tricks you need to be careful. While hand driving the tricker around islands or sharp turns, if you don' t smoothly and progressively advance the throttle the boat will over shoot the set speed. Be careful about not advancing the throttle in tricks, here in FL we have tickers that can really pull the boat down. Steven Seal is a prime example, super strong and his hand pass is all flips. I can't believe we are even having this conversation, ZO has been around since 2007.
  3. Eleeski and Horton, what brand boat were you driving when the ZO malfunctioned pulling tricks?
  4. I agree with Leon. We use 1/4 poly rope. We fid a eye on each end, I insert one end of the rope through the eye bolt then through the rope in your other hand, pull the slack out then put a piece of #6 copper bent into a S to attach buoy to the rope. It is very important to make all ropes exact, this way you will bè able to see if the PVC is sagging. If for some reason you need to sink the course you just take the buoy off the copper hook and leave the rope on the course.
  5. If you can use mobile home screw anchors then your problem is solved. Hopefully the lake bottom is sand or clay. My course is in 15 feet of water and my anchor lines are 200 feet long with a boat trailer winch at one end. I' be been doing this along time, the key is the length of anchor line. My water could go up or down over 5 feet and I don't need to do anything to adjust it. My course stays straight In a 30mph cross wind but at 10 mph the water is to rough to ski.
  6. I don't think weight is a big concern. I can't tell the difference in my 200 between a full tank of gas or a empty tank. I try to always keep mine full. The 196 is a complete different story, everyone tried to keep them at a quarter tank. Remember the 450 engine says 93 octane REQUIRED not suggested. I run 87 in my 6 liter.
  7. I like mine, I'm on number 29
  8. Rog, if Dave didn't send you a return shipping label you may be screwed. This seems to be one of his little quirks, you can only send it back if he approves.
  9. Funny thing, at the Ski With The Legends a few weeks ago I was driving while Kris LaPoint was coaching, he ask 3 different skiers on hard shells to loosen their top buckle a couple clicks. He said you need to control the ski with the bottom of the foot not the shin. He recommends the first 2 buckles tight and the top one loose.
  10. 18 feet is a piece of cake free diving. Use a block and tackle off the front bow eye to move the buoys into position. Have the anchors just off shore in about 2 feet of water and bring the bow of the boat in to get the anchors. My wife and I did ours in a couple hours by ourselves. The anchors weighed 175lbs.
  11. How did you measure for the numbers. Tips for length? Slot caliber for tail?
  12. I'll be there, my boat will be pulling the event. Should be a great time! Anyone who wants a set behind it needs to be at Champions Lake and Swiss next weekend.
  13. I bought the special edition made for Performance Ski and Surf. 1 of only 10 made. It is red metallic. So far better then the green Strada. Rossi set it up.
  14. Just a little FYI.I was in the boat for most all of the Big Dawg and I can only remember 1 skier using plus
  15. 150 feet from my back lanai. 4 slalom courses, 2014 Nautique in boat house and the best friends you could ever want to ski with ( Mike and Josefin ). We are so blessed.
  16. If you have a Nautique with the Link system and puck 1 is out the clock in the Link will read 8:00. You do not need 2 pucks to run Zero Off. You can switch the plugs and and the clock will work. Skinut needs to remap his course at the other end, It's a good idea to remap from time to time. The reason for 2 pucks is in case one fails.
  17. 50/50 white vinegar and windex //// also Rejex wax, trust me
  18. Senior slalom driver Regular trick driver ( senior by end of year ) Regular slalom judge ( senior by end of year ) Nautique Southern Region Promo Coordinator :) My wife is a regular scorer going to senior by end of year
  19. email me at skierjp@tampabay.rr.com. Then we can talk on the phone. I can answer all your question.

    Txi or 200

Not so fast. The TXI has a 40 gallon tank compared to the 200's 27 gallon tank. The fuel usage is minimal at best. Try slalom with the full 40 gallon and then rate the slalom wake. Now that the 5.7 is running the 654 prop the fuel usage will be even less of a factor.
  21. I bet you would have a easier time returning the Mapple then the Goode. I was at Andy's Saturday with 2 friends, You can't beat his customer service. If you don't like it he takes it back. Nohing like having Andy in the boat and custom setting your ski. Both skier were on Radars, both skiers bought Mapples ski after 1 set!!! Awesome experience. I'll be trying it in March.
