Horton, How can Promo Boats be bad for dealers? Most dealers are not connected with the Promo Team Member and the dealer that is will more than likely only have one boat. If one boat is hurting him he has bigger problems. It is up to the dealer to allow a Promo Boat out of his store. Many of my Team Members are responsible for multiple sales at their participating dealers. If the dealer is threatened by the Promo Boat sale he always has the right of first refusal option to buy it back from the Promo Team Member. Funny enough, the dealer rarely exercises this option. Remember, without Promo Boats there would be NO tournaments.
  2. The early 200's never came with the 3 blade 1458. This is considered the jump prop. The tournament prop for this year is the 654 for the 5.7 and the 422 for the 6 liter. Expect around 200 drop in RPMs. The 1868 is no longer on the list. The RPM for a 6 liter ahould be around 3640 at 34 and 3840 for 36.
  3. I think if you qualify for MM you should have to ski that division the rest of the year. I'm not sure I know of any other sport that lets the athlete jump from division to division. If the cut to MM is 3 at 39 and you choose to let go at 2 1/2 to keep from skiing MM then so be it.
  4. Take away from the Nationals? If anything it added to the Nationals!! At any given time no matter what division was skiing there is hardly anyone watching other then family. At least the BD added excitement. Ever since being involved with the BD I was always amazed with skiers that would travel long distances and pay entry fees knowing they never had a chance on winning or placing. I agree with Greg, this gives them a glimmer of hope and will be a benifit to the BD. On another note, why would the Nationals schedule Open Men slalom to ski on Tuesday? If they are really interested in wanting people on the shore lines why wouldn't this be run on Saturday?
  5. Yes but it is still only A+. This is the one confusing area in the new Rev R. I don't know why they didn't make the 1,2,3 go away when you click the + button. I talked with Andy Mapple about this and he assured me that the 1,2,3 is NO factor when using +. Read back to the beginning of the posts and Jody says the same thing.
  6. The A1 or B2 or whatever you have the screen set on stays on the screen when you press the + key, but it actually defaults to just A+, B+, or C+. Don't get caught up into thinking you can have A1+ or A3+. Your options are A1, A2, A3,or A+ then likewise with B and C. I've seen senior drivers at Nationals and Regionals the don't even know how to put in the wait time.
  7. If you are on the Nautique Program call me at 863-205-1719 (Jim) I'm the Southern Region Promo Coordinator for Nautique
  8. Call Acme Props and ask for their ◦ harmonic puller It's kind of like a cap nut. You remove your cotter key and prop nut then thread the harmonic puller on in place of the prop nut. Hit the end of the harmonic puller with the hammer and the prop is instantly loose. This is by far the easiest and safest way to remove the prop. I've even done it in the water!!!! I think it cost about $30
  9. 2 years for Record tournaments unless a hull change or other major modification then the Record has to have the latest and greatest.
  10. The Jet Black Metal Fake and Victory Red 2013 at the Nationals pulling the Big Dawg is my boat. The graphic is called the Progressive Package. I got a ton of complements.
  11. Who is the singer songwriter for the music on the Summertime video? What CD is the song on?
  12. Todd Ristorcelli breaks the MM record skiing 5 @ 41 in the last event (MM) in the 2012 Nationals. What a week, he wins the Big Dawg and the next day sets the MM record.
  13. That black metal flake and red 2013 Nautique is awesome looking ( Progressive Package ) with a Titanium interior theme delete.
  14. My neighbor has a 422 on his boat and the 2 open rated skiers ( OM, OW ) on the lake won't skl behind it. They say it's too soft and there is no whip off the second wake. The boat feels dead. There are 6 200's on my lake ( 3, 6 liters and 3, 5.7's ) Mine is a 6 liter. The 6 is awesome.
  15. That would be the north lake near the interstate. That arc welder in the sky leaving the starting dock in the evening means you're going west.
  16. I'll be there (Men's 4 )plus managing the Nautique Promo Boats, and driving practice
  17. I'll be there all week ( sat - sat ) with Nautique and Big Dawg judge and alternate driver. Also driving practice Tue 4-6 and Wed 4-6.
  18. I don't think it's ZO's problem. It came as a factory installed unit. The dealer should have taken another unit from another boat. You wouldn't call the stereo manufacture if something went wrong with the stereo unit in your new car! It must be a very small dealer if they don't have a head unit in stock. If you are on the MC Promo Team ( Promo Driver? ) your National Coordinator should have been able to take care of you. If this would have happened to one of my Team Members we would have had one to you before the next tournament if not the next day.
  19. Eugene Fry from Palm Bay blew both of his at the same time a few years ago when his Fogmans didn't release as he got dumped out the front at the buoy. He's back to skiing 38. He was actually in a wheel chair for a while!! I think it took a full year.
  20. I have a brand new Straight Line Comp vest for sale. Size medium, the store tags are still on it, never worn. I switched to Eagle. $60.00 you pay shipping. skierjp@tampabay.rr.com
  21. You can't lengthen the loops on a Masterline rope.
  22. So if I took all the loops and lenghtened them I would have a really long rope. No thanks, I'll stay with Masterline !!
  23. I purchased mine at a Mobile Home Parts store. I've taken the cheap ones out of the lake from Home Depot after a few years and they still looked fine. The only real pain is changing out the boat winch every few years. FYI -- The real key to keeping the course straight and less drag on the anchors is the extreme length of the anchor lines.
  24. I bet a 5' or 6' screw anchor will hold in the mud. Mine are only 3 feet long and they are in sand. Test it, screw a anchor in, attach a long rope ( side pull ) and then hook it to the boat. Put the boat in gear, if the anchor stays your good. The only thing your out of pocket is the price of the screw anchor.
