  1. @liquid d dude is British we can take stuff like that all day long.
  2. Just to bump an old settings thread if anyone is looking for them. My new settings that I'm running best scores in years on: 6.943 2.466 0.763 (head) 8 degrees 29.5" ish For detail I'm running deep 35 off at 36mph on these and LFF 67" platinum.
  3. Plus one on Terry. The dude is awesome. Iv had a couple conversations with him and a video lesson. He's actually spends a good amount of time on your video. Way more than I expected. The most I have ever had from video coaching. Great he runs a side by side with his video to show what he is talking about. Iv done a lot of pro video coaching and Terry was by far the best. He made me feel like he actually wanted to do some coaching rather than the feeling I get from others that just palm you off with basic techniques without watching you or explaining. Be patient as I can imagine it takes him an age to do everyone's sets. It's totally worth the wait.

Honestly completely depends on your style and ability. I would highly suggest going on D3's website and chatting to the guys online. They are super helpful and they know the products inside out.
  5. @Stevie Boy Iv just offered a T-factor up to a radar sequence plate. You can easily mark out spots to drill holes so you can screw the binding to the plate, you will just have to remove a footbed and bond it to the sequence plate so its the same. I did this with my rear T-factor and a carbon reflex plate. Works a treat.
  6. I have some new boa boots and sequence plate. pm me if you are still looking
  7. We need good spectator access yes, but we also need half decent conditions to showcase the best of our sport. No good putting athletes at risk and then showing someone trying pull out for a gate without falling off.
  8. Im running 6.890 2.465 .780 9 degrees 29.5" at 36mph at the mo. Requires work to keep tip engagement onside but offside is awesome. I may go further forward yet to try and gain some tip pressure feel. Im going to try a CG fin to see if I can matched the onside to offside.
  9. Retract my comment. Running a direct cable that is suitable for the constant amp draw sounds safe and fairly easy. @Stevie Boy nothing wrong with getting some music blaring out before a set. Some people take skiing way too seriously. Crank the volume and have some fun!!
  10. @Andre yep buying new, I would love that motor, iv asked the question about closed cooling availability but haven’t heard back from them. Hopefully they do, otherwise the only MPI is going to be the zr4. That is unless the GDI engines are looking good for reliability and longevity, which I have seen nothing arguing for yet.
  11. @MichaelGoodman original block, had second hand heads put on about 1200 hrs ago. Took a head off last year and the cylinders are looking spotless. I’m not saying compression is fantastic but she’s doing what she needs to do happily.
  12. @Jody_Seal well iv got a response on 5200hrs haha but im not at all suggesting that. Id be interested to hear from boats near the 750/1000 mark basically out of warranty motors.
  13. @Andre I belive gas in the oil is a common issue with GDI engines. I believe its to do with the high pressure and injectors staying open. From what I have read the problem is with all manufacturers of GDI engines just some are worse than others. I was hoping the marine engine managacturers would have this problem down to minimal rather than some Auto engines that have a big problem. No problem when an engine is in warrenty but when your planning on keeping the boat past the warrenty it makes me nervous.
  14. @2Valve Im not by any means clued up on this, but my understanding is that in GDI engines you can get blowback and also circulation from the crankcase. These deposits stick to the back of the valves but unlike MPI engines where fuel washes them off, they stick and stay. Reducing efficiency and power. This is completely stolen off the internet and not my own deduction. There are few good videos on youtube explaining the issues of GDI such as the previous mention build up on valves, as well as possible fuel ingress into the oil through the piston rings. Only reason Im asking is that Im in the market for a new boat but only have experience with MPI engines and the longevity of them is really good. I have no experience with GDI so I'm just putting feelers out there.
  15. So DI engines gave been out a bit now. Are there any high hour owners out there that can chime in how the engines are holding up? As an engine design DI engines have a few pitfalls vs MPI when it comes to longevity, i.e valve carbon/ deposit build up. High pressure fuel pump/ injectors. Would be interested to see if the marine engines are holding up well vs the MPI that we have had for a while now.
  16. Anyone know if you can get the 6L base with closed cooling, or is it on the DI engines you can get closed cooled?
  17. @Stevie Boy I work with a couple of 32mph skiers. Number one issue is maintaining speed. As soon as you slow down, the ass of that ski is going to sink, only way out of that hole is massive upper body shoulder movement, guess what happens then. ZO kicks off like a child with a tantrum. Straight at the next ball after getting pulled up. Speed is your friend at 32. Don't glide long on your gate and maintain way more speed for your turn in. Keeps the tail higher and you moving with the boat, not against it. On another note, you looking for Demo's in the UK Hit me up.
  18. I have the same issue at the moment. Always used to get 10d sats on both ZO boats I have, now down to 7 or 8d when it works. When it drops to 6 then the system goes crazy, over speeds and under speeds. Un-skiable. Luckily its not often but when it does all I can do is wait. Hard resets do nothing. On the worst boat I get correct date but no time. On the better boat I get bad date and time. I have ordered the new ECI system as word is its way more reliable. Still not great dropping $600 inc shipping to try and fix a problem I am sure is with ZO and not our hardware. Super expensive system and no support, this is happening more and more with older ZO systems and rev R, and in all fairness not even that old.
  19. Thanks for the insight guys. We are pretty close with our local dealer and would choose them over competition purely for the service they offer. Only question is if the new 19' is worth dropping $ on top of our 15' as trade, or keep our 15' and run the hours up higher. I love the look of the 19' TXI especially offering a CB option. My only issue is what it will offer vs our 15' in terms of doing anything better. A nice problem to have I suppose. Im out in Orlando at the end of the season will try and grab a set behind one if I can find someone who has one and if I haven't already placed an order.
  20. Hi guys, Looking at some boat options at the moment. Has anyone skied the old txi vs the new txi. Interior and looks wise I love the new 19 TXI but havent skied it yet, anyone skied both old and new shape and notice any difference on the wake and pull feel? Any notes would be appreciated. Thanks
  21. Fred 1 @9.75 round 1 at FUNGLISS PRO AM 2019. Must be another bad course or forgiving driving. Or perhaps the guy is on fire and all the euro accusations should stop.
  22. @Horton I cant actually believe we are back to having a go at Euro scores again. I seriously hope you are doing this to just try and stir more debate and get more active users. It certainly works if so. The more I contemplate this forum the more I think it is unacceptable to have the owner/ moderator of thr forum discussing and throwing accusations around like this. I feel like we have a dictator. There is nothing wrong with just posting new news articles and reviews. I dont think you need to spark controversy. As for banning Horton from Euro sites. I actually invite you to mine. Come ski great and then I will give you the course survey as proof. ;)
  23. +1 for @theboardingschool set up. Their boats ski sweet as anything I have ever been behind before.
  24. Not sure if its just my niche but I have only taught a few wakeboard beginner lessons this year, as for skiing, this year I have taught maybe 10x the amount of beginners versus the same time last year. This would normally be pretty 50/50. Tubing is always good fun for the kids but more and more total beginners at my site want to ski then have some fun tubing. This sport may not be dead yet! As a skier I am happy.
