  1. The Pond is in south san jose, might be on your way to the beach in Santa Cruz.
  2. What ski are you mounting? I assume no inserts?
  3. Saw them at Liquid Zone, the day they picked her up. Congrats! Beautiful boat.
  4. The closest would be the Pond in south San Jose. It's at Monterey Highway and Metcalf Rd, San Jose. The Santa Clara County Water Ski Club has a web site. That's where I ski. Let me know next time you're in town and we'll get you a ride. Berleley would be a good option too, but is closed during winter. @mateovargas is the man for Berkeley.
  5. @ALPjr Unfortunately those shops are all gone. Liquid Zone would be the best. I think Pat Kennelly is still in business in the Sacramento area, the only other ones would be Nor Cal Mastercraft and Central Valley Marine, not sure if they have much stock if any. @Loki not sure where you are in Bay Area, but there a few other lakes you might be able to ski between Liquid Zone and South San Jose. Liquid Zone is the best. Was there Sunday water wasn't too cold and sun shining. Don't think there is a nicer lake.
  6. I have an 2005 Chevy 3500 with allison and Duramax. Been great, except for doing head gaskets at around 140000 miles. 2005 was the first year without the injectors inside, it's called the LLY. The difference between the 2500 and 3500 is springs and I think the frame is a little beefier, same brakes etc. When I was looking in 2005 the fords were essentially the same, usually the long beds were the 350's. There's some good input here, but when you buy used, the market will dictate a lot of what you get. Happy hunting.
  7. The dealer in California sold almost no ski boats their first couple of years. They did not understand the tournament market. They have taken on some knowledgeable people and have been selling more in the last year.
  8. Skied yesterday at the pond air 70 water 52ish
  9. I had a 1979, and my buddy had an 83. Fun to drive. It was like a sports car.
  10. At one of the lakes I ski at there's a 96 Mastercraft hung. Similar to the way Alberto Soares did, except in the back there is a steel spreader bar so the straps are more vertical. Don't have a pic, but if I can get up there I'll get a pic.
  11. I have 91 Mastercraft. It is carberated, 1700 hours, I changed the carb on it about three years ago, runs like a top. The only negative of the carb is that it needs to warm up before backing off trailer as opposed to fuel injected ready to go. I like simple and dependable, the carb has been that for me.
  12. Definitely need the earlier cut off date. Why not make everybody happy, bring back the EP make the cut off for that level 8.
  13. Thumbs up for Masterline I have ordered trick skis and handles and ropes. All great quality. As for customer service Russell himself discussed with me which ski I should get and why. Owner, one of the best skiers in the world, and takes time to make sure I got the right thing.
  14. @krlee where's the new boat picture?
  15. I'd rather have the boat than the lift. Nice boat.
  16. I skied behind one once at a tournament. Not the best place to make a good assessment, but it seemed fine to me. I skied as well as I usually do.
  17. Bel Aqua lake 1, in Rio Linda may have something. They usually have a coach on staff. If you just want a ride, we ski at the pond in Santa Clara. 2 1/2 hours south of Sacramento, 35 minutes from the beach in Santa Cruz.
