  1. Scott Scott did you find a check valve? Is the boat fixed?
  2. I’m interested in this too. My 17 throttle was a bit stiff.
  3. For sanctioned practice don’t you need safety on site?
  4. The one busy day at the lake. After skier finishes skiing and is back on the dock the next family in rotation takes 5 minutes or so talking their friend into trying to ski. Then god knows how long to find them a vest skis etc..,
  5. Actually I think Willy ellermeir might be coaching at lake naciamento
  6. There is a course on Kelly lake in Watsonville. I haven’t skied there for years. Talking w Al Ricky lives on the lake and skis there. I don’t have Ricky’s number but Al would
  7. The tank is to level the boat it’s #150. Look under the bow on the left side you should see the tank itself the pump if my memory serves is under the center seat. You should be able to visualize the hoses to see what goes where. I have a 17 it only has one battery yours is probably the same. The boat is designed to pull right it’s much easier to steer with the preload. I think the difference between practice and tournament is speed adjustment. In tournament you get 2 mph increments. In practice it can be adjusted by tenths of a mile an hour. Great boat! Enjoy!
  8. Requiring Safe Sport training is not a good idea, it will not help the sport. It appears there was no research done to see how other NGB's are handling this, clearly there has been minimal to no input from membership. Some suggestions I would make are: Offer a discount on membership or increase the rate for those of us who do not want to take the course. At a worst case it should be implemented in phases. Maybe set up a target percent increase each year. If that doesn't work first force the judges and safety to take it and maybe single out other groups. The world is changing quickly, phasing in this mandate would also allow us time to see how this shakes out and follow suit of what others are doing.
  9. I have teak but would have preferred fiberglass. Teak takes several treatments a year. Not a big thing just another thing. Sounds like you’re buying used so pick the boat you like. You’ll be happy with either
  10. If you don’t have one manual is online. Scott Scott is pretty right on with his list I think wires too. Just had mine done. I’ll see if I can find receipt
  11. A friends did that the other day. We turned off battery switch for a minute or two and back on. Been fine since.
  12. Check if it’s getting fuel when it doesn’t start. You can pull or loosen fuel lines and see if or how much comes out and where the blockage is. If you haven’t replaced the filters mentioned you should. I had a friend that replaced his fuel pump with an aftermarket one. His fuel line ended up just long enough to reach or so he thought. It pinched where it went under the fuel tank and restricted the flow. It ran fine but not with a load. Good luck.
  13. I’d cut it a little forward of where @jhughes marked and cut it and weld a plate above and below with pins on either side maybe a plate across the front of the trailer side. Call it good.
  14. Reading the last few comments it appears we’re not even sure where this mandate comes from? Education is usually the first step to understanding. That being said this better safe than sorry attitude is dangerous. Let’s make the next poll about who is wearing a helmet while writing this. After all if helps one person it’s worth it...
  15. For erosion control some have put cloth and rock over it. I haven’t done it but others on here have.
  16. In weld a handle to the inside?
  17. If you end up needing a second ski. Maybe get one a little longer
  18. @skierjp Gotcha that's the range not adjustment.
  19. @Clydesdale I have no idea what I am talking about, but I looks like your hydrogate is adjusted up all the way. That would give it the least amount of effect in slalom. Might try to adjust it lower?
  20. Sure Path looks like a really good system, is improving all the time and a good addition to tournaments. It seems to me trying it out for a year will allow judges and drivers to get used to it. Whether it shows red or green at the end of a pass if the boat crew determines it’s warranted there should be a reride given.
  21. I have the leveling tank in my boat. I use it in slalom when needed to balance the boat. for tricks I use it full with bags in the back also.
