  1. Anyone have more opinions on this question. I'm having a big problem trying to decide which one to go with.
  2. This a really cool and I think speaks to all of us. I love exploring public lakes and rivers throughout the PNW. The one thing that really disappoints me is the regulations around having permanent courses on public water. I ski one here in Oregon, and love showing a newbie the ropes or just having a group in a surf barge watch us turn some buoys. When I was a kid in Michigan, it seemed like half the lakes we went to had a course on it. What can we do to protect these courses on public water?
  3. I was at the ski shop over the weekend and was comparing the HO VTX and Radar Pro build. Both of these skis are 68s and I was shocked by the actual difference in length. What gives?
  4. @ozski, that is sweet! How old is he?
  5. @eleeski, not sure on specific dates, but probably sometime in April.
  6. @Colebrah, I was thinking the Phoenix area may be a bit easier to find a spot. Either way, I'm open for suggestions. Thanks guys.
  7. I'm thinking about taking my wife to Phoenix/Scottsdale or Palm Springs for a long weekend to get out of the rain and snow here in the PNW. I was wondering if there are any lakes I can grab a few sets at while I'm there. Any advice or recommendations?
  8. I am so sad to hear this. That course was so cool. So if you put it in just for the day, it's ok?
  9. The article said that ski courses are not allowed on public water. I remember skiing a course on Echo Lake 4 or 5 years ago with Greg. Does that still exist? I hope so as I was hoping to ski out there this summer.
  10. Got the water going. Shop hooked it up to fake a lake and it worked. Not sure why my method wasn't working, this is what I did when I worked at a nautique dealer in college. Anyhow, I am very happy to not have a huge repair bill. Thanks for all the feedback. I love this site!
  11. Boat has never overheated. Man, now I'm worried. What does a rebuild cost these days?
  12. @MISkier, I ran it in a river and private lake last year. Water quality is pretty good, but that could definitely be possible. When I ran it yesterday, still no water out the ehaust pipes. When I pulled the plugs, water came out of the starboard side block plug and exhaust drain hose, but no water out the port side block plug. Do they have to pull the engine apart if it's clogged internally?
  13. Well, I'm going to take it to the professionals to see what is going on.
  14. Thanks for all the input. I will try some of the suggestions this afternoon and see how it goes.
  15. Yep, the hose that goes straight to the water pump.
  16. I used the garden hose straight to the intake. It seemed to work for 10 seconds then all the water just spit back out the intake hose. Never got any water out the exhaust either. How long does it take for the thermostat to open?
  17. So, I pulled my 2012 TXI with the 5.7 out of storage to do a little work on it. The engine was completely drained when I put it away in October. Today, I wanted to run the engine so I could run some Stabil through the system and fill the engine with antifreeze, even though the manual says that's not necessary. I hooked the garden hose up to the water intake hose and started the engine. The water didn't circulate once the engine was running. I checked the impeller, which was good, and all of the hoses to make sure nothing was blocking them. Anyone have any clue what might be going on? I hope it's something simple.
  18. Such a beautiful part of the country. I skied with Greg a few years back on Echo Lake. Great guy and passionate about skiing.
  19. Jackson Hole has been getting slammed, or so I hear. Mountains in Oregon already have 100" plus bases. Hope this snow continues, headed to Bachelor all next week.
  20. Is the Denali summit open to any Denali owner? I don't own one yet, but may consider as a tool to really learn ski theory and technique.
  21. Well Ralph, if those were my legs, then I'm pretty sure I'd be skiing a whole lot better than I actually am.
  22. Totally agree. FB is really a big waste of time. Anything that's important to me is on here or LinkedIn these days.
  23. @ral, maybe we should try to guess who those legs belong to and forget the handle guard.
  24. Anyone know where I can find this handle guard? I've been using the US Gear guard that is starting to fall apart, plus it's a little on the heavy side.
