  1. I bought a txi over the winter and love it!! I have been skiing mostly at 22 this year and love the wake. Granted I'd love the wake even more at 28 or 32, just not there quite yet. Kids love it too. I do have the chance to ski a 200 from time to time and they are fantastic too. I don't think you could possibly go wrong with either. If the difference is 8k, the choice should be easy.
  2. I think this would be a great idea to combat the rising costs of ski boats. It would however decrease the number of tournament boats sold. A promo guy buys a new boat every 3-5 years instead of every year. This might cause the manufactures to cut back on r&d for these boats or to exit the market all together. I love the idea, just playing devils advocate.
  3. I live in Portland and am always happy to hook up a fellow baller. Pm me and we can link up. A buddy and I ski a course on the Willamette river either early morning (600) or in the evening (530ish). Pm me and we can try to link up.

  5. Man, I really didn't want to buy a new ski this year, but you all are really making this hard.
  6. I have one that I never used, so its new. I'd love to sell it to you. PM me.
  7. Is there any reason to not just buy a slot caliper? This way I can measure dft on Goode skis with the slot and all other skis the traditional way. Seems like the slot is pretty user friendly.
  8. My father in law is a wheat farmer. He says nothing works better than round up. As @boarditup mentioned, you have to make sure you spray the leaves. It only works once the weed has sprouted.
  9. Really looking forward to the reviews this spring. VTR, Vapor, Denali. All skis on my "next" list.

    Bimini top

I'm not opposed to straps, but think the ones without are nice and look clean. One question I have regarding the windshield mounted options is ease of use. How easy are they to put on and off?

    Bimini top

I am looking for a Bimini top for a new to me response txi. The owners kept the original Bimini which was a windshield mount with tie downs forward and aft. I am interested in the Bimini referenced in this photo. This boat was originally a promo boat in Battle Ground, WA, so I am hoping a baller might know where this Bimini came from. Also, can anyone comment on a windshield frame mounted Bimini vs the traditional/factory type?
  12. @skialex I have to ask why? And no slot caliper in there? It seems like the standard is to not use the slot caliper?
  13. Thanks guys. Looking forward to getting more technical in my skiing.
  14. Wow, that is a gorgeous home.
  15. This season I have decided to start learning about fin adjustments. I have Fin Whispering, which I am looking forward to reading. That said, I am going to need a set of calipers. What do you suggest? I looked on Performance Ski's website and they have one from Radar and one from D3. They look similar, but the D3 calipers are $30 more. I want to buy a nice caliper that is going to last a while.
  16. 1. I bought a ZO off boat this winter. 2012 TXI 2. I am going to pick up a Camaro Black Tec for sure. 3. I'd love to upgrade my HO S2 to a top V type R, D3 Quest, Radar Vapor, or Denali, but that will have to wait until 2017. My S2 should get me to my goal of consistent 32s. 4. I will definitely seek out some professional coaching this year. Hope we have some good options in the PNW this summer.
  17. I am trying to help a friend part together his boat (2002 196). Last season, he hit a rock bar on our local river and tore off all the underwater gear. We are currently searching for parts. If anyone has any of these parts to sell or knows where to get them for a deal/discount, let me know. I am trying help a fellow baller get back on the water. Skegs Shaft Strut Prop Rudder
  18. The msu course is pretty good on the grand river.
  19. Does silver lake in Fenton still have a course? I used to live out there and it was great early mornings.
  20. The main thing I want to know is if this will make my spray bigger. If it does, I'm in.
  21. Worked for Jeff and Wayne at SSS in service 99-2001. SSS is a great shop, I loved working there.
  22. @B_S, does Lake Shannon have a course? My folks used to have a place on Silver Lake growing up and I used to work at Silver Spray. I miss that area. Great looking boat!! Love the metal flake and yellow.
  23. No ski boats at the Portland boat show. Two 200k plus boats, Malibu m235 and the nautique g25. One highlight was Stancraft, who just bought the local mastercraft dealership, brought a gorgeous wooden boat. That was only 335k.
  24. I just picked up a higher hour(900hrs) txi for 32k. Great boat and wake at 15-22off and slower speeds is really nice. I think you could probably look around for a higher hour SN200 as well for the same price range. If cared for, these engines last 3000 hrs or more.
