All I have to say is, this is another great informative thread on BOS. thanks to all the advanced and pro skiers breaking it down for us 15 off guys.

My 91 MC Prostar 190 has pulled a skier to 35 off, when I asked about the spray, he never had an issue even in 5-7 mph head wind. the boat would not be out in 10+ mph winds with us. lol

The newer MC's have different mufflers I believe and therefore more quite than before.

I love the closed bow 190's too, but that being said, the 190 sales are next to nothing. I can see MC ditching the closed bow boats. I hope not, but I can see it happening.

I highly doubt the 2014 Prostar will have a pickle fork front end or all the other BS spewed out on TT. Some of those guys dream up this "reliable info" and put it out there as the truth. I too am waiting to see what MC has in store, just because I know it will be bad ass. That, and being a MC fan. Also that other talk over on TT about MC doing away with all DD boats, I do not see that also. If they indeed do, they would have officially taken themselves out of the Ski boat market. Even Centurion had to get back into the ski boat market and look what they brought. A bad ass bare bones tug!

I now find that holding the handle palm down extremely weird. You will get used to it.

@itch2ski and @6balls, thanks, I really do love the boat. It has a sweet wake, the OJ CNC 4 blade was a huge improvement over the factory 3 blade 14x18. It gets and goes, smoothed the rooster a bit, I love it. I won best of show with it last year at a MC reunion in the 1987-2000 class. I got lucky with the boat, he gave me first shot before he was even committed to sell, which I jumped on. The boat was always cared for, and stored in doors. She turns heads, for sure. Oh, and she has just under 700 hours.

1991 MasterCraft Prostar 190 Powerslot. Bought from original owner in 2004 for $10,000- including BI Contour boom, Trick release, a few beginner v handles, and other misc things. Interesting story behind my boat and why its so valuable to me, the original owner is a very good friend of mine, and he taught me to slalom behind this boat. He was a waterski coach at VA Tech. Everything is all original, except for the bimini, which I added and the new OJ XMP 13.7x17.5 4 blade CNC prop which I added.

I have heard that MB and a few other pro's are testing molds and have been for a while?

@ShaneH, I have to agree... I find it very sad that MC is loosing touch with 3 event or slalom, even though they promote MB at any chance they get. MC is so far behind the times with the Carbon Pro, SN200 and the TXI. I understand they rather sell $150K boats to parents for their kids, but come on. Look at Centurion and Malibu! They are doing pretty darn well with their ski boats.

thanks guys! he is also needing something thats pretty easy to get up on as well. I was thinking a theory or a free ride, I was not even considering a Senate, but will look into it.
