  1. @Than_Bogan, the picture of it under cover looks like a 19' DD X10. it doesn't look any larger then a CP to tell you the truth.
  2. in a DD as well. I like the windscreen, they have grown on me. I can see it being useful in many ways. What I have not gotten used to is the dip about 3/4 back.
  3. Looks like a 19' boat to me. It looks like a smaller sleeker version of the X10. I see they took the 1/4 windscreen and the odd dip in the deck about 3/4 back. In all honesty, It also looks like a CB?
  4. Awesome! Thank you, I was worried!
  5. While on vacation in WV I brought my HO CoX SL and skied the Potomac River. At one point the river was much shallower than I thought, I put my foot (with ski) down and felt the fin hit the bottom. My heart sank and my blood pressured rose, I pulled it off and looked, I scratched the red paint and took a VERY small gouge at the very edge on the bottom. Is it shot or will it affect the ski's performance?
  6. @chuck_dickey, that is what the guy said as well.
  7. After spending an hour at Performance Ski JUST looking at gloves and trying them on, and then trying them with a handle tied off to a bench, I narrowed it down to the Radar Ergo's and the ML K palm curves. I ended up with the K Palms, these gloves felt like glue while pulling on the handle.
  8. @danspence... OUCH!!! Looks like I am going to have to sit in the water and pull the ski off till I find a good medium...
  9. I am on a RTP. I was on doubles for years HO Venom's on a System 8 and a Vengeance, but it never really felt great to me. For some reason I feel I have more response and control with a RTP. Just gonna have to learn these new style bindings.
  10. I got my first ski in yesterday evening on my new-to-me HO CoX SL (yes, it took me that long) before dark in between the rain and storms. I picked up the Attack binding from Performance Ski on Sunday. I really think you need to have it pretty loose around the ankle (top lace). Had a stupid WTH kinda fall and it did not release, that hurt a bit. Must be just like the Radar Vector's I hear everyone talking about the top lace loose.
  11. Klundell , Holy S**t man, That looked scary! I might have had to get a new suit after that. about 6 years ago, I hit the turn ball at -15 @ 34 and stuck it hard, and tore my knee up pretty good. I remember think it would be nice to have bouys that give under pressure like the BB.
  12. Thanks for the tips guys, much appreciated!
  13. @6balls yes, slippery, the strap gets slippery and it causes the handle to consistently move around in my grip unless I superman the handle, but I prefer a relaxed grip.
  14. I have been using Clinchers (or Clincher style) gloves for years, but they continue to get slippery on the strap no matter what I do, so I'm going back to normal gloves. I am looking for the glove that offers the most grip from the palm to the finger tips. I have been looking at the Connelly Claw (now Prophecy) w/ the fingertip bumps, the HO 41's, the Radar Ergo that have the fingertip bumps and the SL Stealths. What do you other Ballers think?
  15. So, I'm a little OCD. But besides skiing, I also show my boat and take it to MasterCraft Reunions. Last reunion I won Best in Show in the 87-2000 class.
  16. I am halfway thinking about it myself, my ski buddy might go half and it will be fun to just cruise!
  17. So very sorry to hear this. Looked as though she was recovering well too. My prayers are with her, her family and friends.
  18. Look at that, it took 3 pages before this thread derailed. Not bad! lol If I see any of you guys skiing in a speedo, I may hang up my ski for a while.
  19. @skibug , I hope your wife recovers fully and quickly!
  20. I hope Nate gets it, he is a true talent to our sport. I hope to see his name up with with Andy and Sammy one day.
