  1. When the engine/oil is cold, you will see an average of10-15 psi higher then when up to operating temp. Every engine I have built from old sbc to new LSx are the same.
  2. Obviously I am not even close to a expert here, as I am learning everyday. From what I have gathered here, if he wanted to stick to HO the S2 or even the CoX SL are way ahead of even the Monza and both perform great at 34mph.
  3. Heck, I didn't start until I was 10 years old. Behind my boat! The original owner taught me to ski. He taught at VA Tech ski school and he was friends of the family.
  4. I also believe CP, Nate or T-Gas will make it back to the wake off 3 ball soon. Having it be this year... Maybe....
  5. Computer Repair / Networking Consulting Co. owner
  6. @twhisper thank you for the chart. Very nice!
  7. Well, purchased a Co X SL on SIA for under $300. Looking forward to getting it. I am thinking of the Radar Vector front boot with an HO ARTP. Anything thoughts on that?
  8. Pretty cool watching the process of building a ski. Thanks @Horton!
  9. @Horton Thank you very much! I was going to be using the Vector front and the adjustable RTP. The front is the one I was most concerned with, as I can use the HO adj. RTP (exact same as the Radar).
  10. Is the new 2013 feather frame Vectors still able to be installed on a HO ski? thanks!
  11. Interesting concept.
  12. @Wish thank you! Now I am just waiting on the seller from SIA to get back to me about a 2010 used one season (supposedly) for 275.
  13. Does anyone know if there is a design difference between the 2010 and new Co X SL? Or just graphics?
  14. @mcskier41 thank you! I did not know that the Co X does not have the adjustable fin block. Thank you very much. there is a Co X SL on SIA for 275, I am waiting to hear back about the condition and shipping.
  15. Anyone else have a thought on Non carbon 50/50 vs. carbon for my need?
  16. @Wish thank you for the reply. I live in Sebring, FL. Basically center of the state. I have considered the S2 as well as Radar Senate. There are two HO Co X on SIA for 300 and under that I am eying. I figure that the 50/50 core like the Senate, Vice or Co X would be better for 98% free skiing on a 9,200+ acre lake?
  17. I unfortunately do not have access to a course on our lake. Its a large public lake with a few nice quiet area's to ski, but no course and the city will not let me put one in either. Darn it! The only courses are about 2 hours away, and I unfortunately do not have enough time on weekends to drive there. One is on Todd's lake from WSM with his buddy Mike in Orlando and the other is a private lake in Tampa which a friend lives on. So needless to say, I get to a course about 2% of the time and free ski with imaginary gates and balls to try and work on my form and body position. I'm thinking the regular Co X will be more what I am needing with it being more forgiving in not so perfect water. Am I correct? I currently ski on a System 8 with heavy bindings, and from holding a Co X at Performance Ski, it's still MUCH lighter then my ski. Also, I ski at 15 off @ 34mph free ski. Thank you guys for the help! BOS Rocks!
  18. Water level not so bad on our lake, the problem is the city is dredging and making the channel wider and adding walls to keep the sand from washing back in and covering the ramps. They have been at it for 4 weeks now! The most ridiculous thing is the city wanted to use the sand that is being taken out and use it to fix the beach next to the boat ramp(has eroded over time). The EPA came in and said you cant put the same from the SAME lake 20 feet apart and put on the beach for fear of cross contaminating the lake??? What? its the same water? I understand about from another lake, but not the same. Oh well, the Government at its' best.
  19. I'm not a jumper, really don't think my body will like it too well. Either way, Freddy is my hero for flyin'. And I drool over the Nightmare Prostar's as well. lol.
  20. Great photo, and Done deal voting for it! Good luck!
  21. Either way you choose @Horton, you run a great water ski forum. I am happy to be a member here. Thanks for all the hard work and long hours.
  22. whether it be a rumor or not, I do know that it's common practice in the automotive industry to get your hands on your largest competition. Personally, I see nothing wrong with it. If it helps MC make a new totally awesome PS, great. Either way, it will help our dying market I believe.
