  1. @adamhcaldwell thanks for the fin tips. The wing is 8 degrees currently and all i have ever done is adjust for a little more tip bite from standard settings about 12 months ago.

I have a c65 so my caliper work has come into play a lot more over the last few months

@RazorRoss3 we are in Western Australia at Bonneys ski park.

  2. That video made a lot of sense to me, I was having too many hair on fire offside turns and went what i thought was "safer" with some more depth as well as slightly longer and less dft. Have had 6-7 sets since then and feeling and skiing better.

    Thanks for your explanation @Horton

  3. I had ACL reconstruction at 37 years old, Pt very important, I used the stationary bike a lot and was back at work fairly quickly (one month) but i wished I had stretched and got a better range of motion earlier. Its still limited ten years later.

I had a slalom at 3 months, but that didnt feel right and is a vulnerable time, at 4 months though with a Cti brace I was back on the ski and going to tournaments. Six months should be plenty of time. I also enjoyed the recovery period and have trained better/more consistently ever since.

  4. Well said @Than_Bogan

I have just ordered a c65 and am buying it not to expect another few buoys but supporting the brand and hoping for increased consistency.

My one year old Denali is a great ski and although the new one should be better it comes down to the skier standing on top to really make the difference.

Buddy, about to hop in, 80 years old, still skis into 32 and my favourite coach in the boat, not the most patient coach but he gets results and notices things and implements change that others don't see. A little cold in our Aussie winter for him but always there to drive and coach.

  6. One week ago I got off the Denali frustrated and rode my Helix again, I was in a slump. I could turn the Helix a lot better but wasn't getting the speed.

I knew I couldn't walk away from the the Denali though as I got one to not only try and ski better but also learn about skis and fins.

Pleased to report that a week later and after some big changes to ski setup(and understanding ski setup)

I feel more confident than ever and the last two days have been awesome. The fin forward settings really get the ski to fire, before it was about the same as my last ski score wise, now it's rising above. Can't wait for our Aussie summer.

  7. I've been through Rs1's Strada x 2 and now Profiles and I only ever wear the liners out. And they get used year round.

I rode the 16 Vapor this week and I was very impressed, not that I wanted to like another ski but on stock settings and my bindings I was shocked at how good it was from the first pass.

Biggest problem was reassuring the wife that no I really don't want another ski!
