  1. Bump. Finished up winterizing last night. Seemed alot more like a ski evening than the end of the season. Temp was about 70, calm, clear sunset and the full harvest moon rising. The boat is going indoors for its winters rest this Saturday. If you know anyone looking for a great 92 MC 190 please let me know. Ski ya in the spring! http://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?topic=Search&category=Comp_Boat&postid=19767
  2. Any ballers know of a skier or ski boat enthusiast who would like to buy a clean, solid 92 PS190. I am open to reasonable offers, and can help with delivery in the northeast and this year's indoor winter storage.
  3. Great review and nice spray !!! Thank you
  4. @Horton... The last post does not not really make sense to me. Is forgiving? - yes or no - would be enough. I think the term "smooth" may be helpful - somewhat - regardless of style or ability.
  5. Last session today. Fogging the carb and draining the block when we're done. Ski ya in the spring!!!
  6. I am really looking forward to reading this review. Not exactly sure why, but I have been chomping at the bit much more than any other recent review.
  7. Brenda at In-Tow makes ars handles. My current handle is an In-Tow ars. She might sell the end caps.
  8. A welcome rest. Two kids in high school, with honors classes and both playing sports 6 days a week. Working 50 to 60 hours a week, enjoying a few autumn bicycle rides and time to start prepping the home for winter. Then the first week of December basketball season starts - my son's senior season and I ref' 3 to 5 games a week. Then we hit early spring when softball and track begin. By the end of June the start of skiing season serves as a rest from the past 9 months. Hmm' starts as a rest and ends as a rest...
  9. Southern New England weather is looking good this weekend. Looking forward to Sunday at the pond.
  10. Great time of year. Skiing is clicking, lakes are beautiful and weather is super. Kids in school and playing volleyball and football. Boat goes into winter storage 2nd week of October.
  11. Yes, handle and rope. Learned to do that at Berkeley 20 years ago and have ever since. Kinda like bringing your own cleats and glove to baseball.
  12. We will be in Thompson just over the border from Webster MA. Best to call me at the number in the SIA add. Thank you
  13. Just a bump. I will have the boat on a private pond this Sunday. I'll be happy to give serious buyers a pull or test drive between 12:30pm and 2. Thanks
  14. Thank you @Brewski. Appreciate the bump.
  15. My double Animal plates overlap - as close as possible.
  16. Definitely a blow dryer. A little citrus cleaner helps wipe any residue away. Took every decal and reg #'s off our boat the day I brought it home.
  17. Appreciate the offer @TDET. Hope to someday. Thank you
  18. I started with The Water Skier when I was in high school around 1975 - 76 and then Spray mag. Both inspired me to ski more, buy equipment and work on technique. I never saw or skied a course until 1989. I still look forward to taking it out of the mail box. I have a process - first scan through the ads and study the pic's. The next time through I check for good reads. Then for months I flip through randomly. Long live Waterski Mag, and long live Ball of Spray!
  19. @Jordan I like the clean look without the decals much better. Same with a car or truck - wouldn't want big Ford or Honda decals all over them. @TDET we ski on a couple ponds in eastern CT. @DooSPX selling because we do not have time to enjoy it. It is a great boat. Our oldest son and daughter have moved out west for college and careers. Our youngest son is a senior who plays basketball 9 months a year and will be heading to college next summer. Our youngest daughter is a sophomore and plays volleyball and softball 12 months a year. My wife and I have very busy careers. And, I am traveling to Henderson, NV 3 to 4 times a year to visit my mom who is 82. Here's the game plan - sell the boat, buy a new ski, and when I have time give my ski buddies $$$ to pull me, and I'll drive for them. Also would like to check out Newberry Springs on some of my trips to Henderson NV. Will probably get back into a few tourney weekends after our daughter heads to college in three years.
  20. We are selling our boat. Located in CT. If you know anyone looking for one like this please send them my way. Thanks http://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?topic=Search&category=Comp_Boat&postid=19767
  21. Me too @DooXPS. Eric OJ recommended an Oj 454 4 blade for our 92 MC 190. Lowered rpm's by 150, holds speed like a Willys in 4wd, lower and softer wake, and fuel usage improved.
  22. Always a good vibe at Berkeley. Skied there in 94 & 95. Basically skied there every weekend from April to October except for Margaritaville at Shortline and the Marin Club weekend at Bell Aqua. The Marin crew always put on a good event. Even the monthly club meetings were fun - quick meeting, brbq, and ski rides. Matt Brant, Chris Velosing, and Steve Ware, from the Berkeley club were always there for a ride. Al Frosini was the first guy I met at the Park. He hooked me up with my first few rides there - said most of the private sites down south were to hot to ski in. Al's Novice Nationals was really fun. Lots of skiers from 26mph to -38. The Cal States in 94 had some impressive skiers. Also a great model for public parks and to bring skiing to the masses - multi use lakes, fields, courts, trails. Just takes time and money.
  23. I know this is old school... With our 92 MC 285hp, power slot and recent OJ 454 machined 4 blade... I drive by the tach, set the needle where it should be, hold it there and am in close tolerance all the time with-15 to -35 skiers. I'm sure that steadiness in speed changes at -38 and beyond, but for us it is a perfect pull.
