  1. @Mateo_Vargas posted one from Berkeley a while back that was very cool.
  2. Pretty sure I saw some downhill on NBC Sports this winter.
  3. A loose rub rail could do it too. A couple screws in our PS190 rail came loose on the starboard (driver’s side) and water shot in there when pulling at trick speed, turning or cruising with the bow raised.
  4. Many of the thoughts mentioned in this thread remind me of what Syderhoud was teaching in the 90’s - mass leading the charge kinda like runners and skateboarders when they initiate acceleration.
  5. Good point @Horton . Idk when I take a 30 mph pass the wakes don’t feel much different than 32 mph. In my current view safety trumps performance and helps with the integrity of the sport. But again it’s just my current view and I’m open to other thoughts.
  6. My 2022 NRG R2. In fact I’m thinking about ordering another for back up. Favorite ski ever right out of the box.
  7. I’m a big fan of ZBS. It’s why I returned to tournaments - I know I’m not going to win or set records and can ski at 32mph instead of 34, minimize the chance for injury and have fun shortening the rope a few times on a good day. I’m in the camp that thinks the max speeds are set with the safety of the athlete as a priority over performance. I understand the other view and perhaps those skiers could ski in another division like open or masters?
  8. I’d like to help but I don’t seem to have the like, awesome, etc. option on my IPhone
  9. Bump. Still available. https://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Slalom&postid=65114
  10. I have a 68” D3 Ion-s available if interested. https://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Slalom&postid=65114
  11. I’m selling this for $650 because I went with a 67”. https://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Slalom&postid=65114
  12. Great story @BKistler ! If possible can you post the article about the first man made lakes? I skied and stayed at Jud and Dave’s place over the years. When I was going to school and skiing in the Bay Area back in the 90’s, Al Frosini (Berkeley WSC) and Mike Syderhoud told me some funny stories about the tournament times they had at Spencer’s too.
  13. Agreed - ‘Train With Terry’ is a tremendous program.
  14. Anyone know the ~cost to ship one ski Fedex ground?
  15. Thanks for that one @BKistler. We grew up in south Jersey, so many Phillies fans, and playing in the waters of the Great Egg estuary. Saw the kite man land on the mound :) The summer after Sophomore year at high school in 1976 we saw a guy on the beach in Somers Point with a kite. He asked if we could tow him. Not knowing much we said sure and hooked him up to the back of our 14’ Glastron with a 50hp outboard. Across the bay we went, up went the kite and as he gained height the rear end of the boat got pulled up out of the water, prop spinning, then the kite would drop, prop would settle back in and up he’d go again. We repeated across bay and back, dropped him back at the beach and went our way to ski in the Tuckahoe River.
  16. Bump - any news on updated Fogmans/Stealth?
  17. Thanks for producing this great series. How about discussing the behind the scenes, ski design and build processes from the team skier’s input, to the lake trials, to inner workings in the lab, to the final products?
  18. @Wish they made the CVX 20 with a pylon, rear observer seat and dual speedos - Ski. Machine
  19. Looks like they added a windshield off of a CVX 20
  20. Demoing the R2 now. By far the most comfortable I’ve ever been with the first couple rides on a new ski. Factory rec’ on fin and dbl boots about 1/8 back, closest I could get to factory.
  21. Are these numbers for a 67”?
