  1. I moved to double HO 95’s (1994) and then Animals(~2002) after a number of ankle sprains and a broken medial malleolus. What worked for me was lifting the front heal by mounting the back of the Animal front plate on top of the front of the rear plate. Lifted the front heal about 3/8”. After the Animals wore out I moved to 2017 double Vapors and they seem to have enough forward cant to suffice. Yes the Animals lasted 15 seasons.
  2. “All gas is grass”… the fisherman in ‘Blues’ one of my fav’ books by John Hershey. And yes, from plants that decayed many millions of years ago.
  3. 91-94 hull. Our ‘92 was nice almost no wake at beginner speeds. For looks I always liked the ‘93 limited. With the 351ho or LT1 and a 1-1 tranny that hull is hard to beat. https://teamtalk.mastercraft.com/filedata/fetch?id=2443602
  4. They have a good demo program. You may like the width profile, balance and concave of the Ion shape better?
  5. HO Blast combos worked really well for us. Our kids and many friends learned and had lots of fun on them. Daughter used the Blast slalom all the way from getting up on one through running the mini course and a couple buoys in the regular course at ~24 mph.
  6. Any contacts for arranging sets in Newberry on BOS? I will be visiting family in LV/Henderson several times in the next few months.
  7. @swbca most of the time it was at the speed set by the skier’s signals to the boat with ? or ? until it felt ?. Some boats had speedo’s but we never paid much attention to them back then.
  8. Wow. Pretty nice. I’d guess it won’t be a relatively long time before major boat makers follow suit.
  9. Nice work there! I don’t think the ‘93 to 95 echelon had a trunk, just a removable rear seat.
  10. Thanks for forwarding this @MattP . Donation sent ??
  11. We use Stargazer and always within within.01 - .02
  12. I need the lol button. Love Tommy Boy ?
  13. Glory to Ukraine https://www.stokesskis.com/danylo-filchenko/
  14. Slightly off subject but… Any thoughts on the slalom wakes of the first gen’ Echelon’93-95?
  15. Fantastic! Wish there was a double awesome button.
  16. A ‘93 or ‘94 PS205 with the LT1 motor is pretty sweet if you can find one.
  17. D3 skis - good chance you’ll feel comfortable right off the bat. Buddy went from a 90’s Kidder to a D3 Arc-s a couple seasons ago and is doing great.
  18. Showing my age… Thorpe was my first thought, in the 20th century. Jackson is also a good one, and I’d probably put Michael Jordan in the mix. For waterskiers… so many… I’d say Suyderhoud, Grimwidch, Roberge, Mapple, Jacques. It’s like ice cream and music, lots of choices.
  19. I have long thought that the addition of an amateur grassroots-class C slalom/wakeboard series would drive interest in tournaments far more than many other efforts have over the past ~25 years.
  20. That’s only 570hp more than the motor I learned to get up on a slalom ski behind and only 390hp more than I learned to run the course behind.
  21. I sure don’t see any decline in enthusiasm, talent, and comradery in the Olympic snow sports.
