  1. @colo_skier that was the first thing i noticed when i rode it first. Little bit of gas from the boat and i was already planed out ready to go!
  2. Wait a while. It will become the best thing ever once you get used to it
  3. If it wasnt made in like the last two ish years it wont have it.
  4. Thats the new style blocks on them. Some have them. Some dont. P.s. reflex Rocks! I
  5. In your gate and through out the course you maintain a shoulders in front of hips position (i do too) ideally you want your hips and your shoulders to be in line with your feet, you want to be balenced over the ski with your hips up to meet the handle. notice chris parrish in his gate pull out and nate smith in his wake crossing. Both are centered over their feet. Two things I have found to help me "get my hips up" are straightenn my back leg a little (dont lock it, but enough to push your body forward) and lock my elbows to my vest ALL THE TIME except when im extending out for the turn (keep contact in lean across the wake, in the edge change and when you are coming back around to complete the turn, keep elbows on vest!) Hope this helps some i too am a 15 off skier What speed was that?! -Bryan
  6. And the g-10 plate i got looks sooo nice.
  7. I would LOVE to. I have the app and use it mostly for the frame by frame but i would be super interested in getting some feedback on what you see. Would it be an email thing? I cant say i know the ins and outs of the app. Feel free to Direct Message me . Im 100% in
  8. In your preturn (part right before you turn) while your ski is on the turning edge stay balanced over your ski, and add front foot pressure, that will engage the tip od the ski in its turn and should arc you around to start edging the opposite way. At your level, the ski should be doing most of the work, dont force the ski around the turn with your back leg that also creats problems
  9. Allright here is the last video i swear haha this is the only 36 -15 pass we took today. It shows some differences compared to yesterday i got more comfortable on it. The more i watch the more i realize my offsides suck. For people watching my differing gates. You are correct i have no idea what im doing. I have had really really good success with the one handed gate but two handed is a little safer, except i tend to screw myself up with it. Lately iv just been trying everything in order to find something i like.
  10. Hi I'm Bryan, I love skiing, and although i have made ALOT of progress this year i think if i got some pro coaching i could do even more. Background: I have never gone to a ski school I ski mostly at -15 off 34 and 36mph but made my first -22 today! I would call myself a smooth/technical skier who wants to improve as efficiently and quickly as i can I ski on an HO so maybe someone like terry winter or Jon Travers could help me with mechanics of the ski I am looking for either winter or early early spring session so somewhere warm would be cool. I am located in kansas so there is going to be a big travel no matter where i go location is not really what we are worried about Cost effective, im guessing they will all have relative pricing but if there is a strategy to consolidate $ id love to hear! if there is anything not on here that you think i should be looking for, please help me out and if there are any suggestions i would love to know them! Thanks for the Help -Bryan
  11. Haha no i decided to take it home with a big "W" mom would have been worried too.
  12. Whew... Thanks @thanbogan after a whole weekend of skiing i should be able to visualize what side 2,4,6 is haha. Now that i understand it, i think this is a good proposal. I think its as stated above an "eg" or easy gate, but i think its got merit.
  13. Ill dump 32 when i can run 36 -15 and -22 consistantly cant wait for that
  14. I did not mean timing in the slalom course but timing before it. Why do we have to mandate what happens before the course begins.on a short setup, it may already be super tricky to prepare for gates ( my lake included) some lakes who dont have 55s at all would be forced to put them in. when you have to cross the wake to the driver side just to turn around and go right back it seems almost pointless to me... I dont know. Just Not something i would see as a concrete rule change.
  15. Really focused on keeping my shoulders level and head level (jon travers) and the ski started to shine. It takes beautiful arcs on my onside back on the ball. Offside are a little trickier.. With the help of @walleye i started to counter rotate in my preturn wich got my ski wider and wider, then BANG turn in the other direction like a rocket. Sweet ski so far, iv never made this many -15 36mph passes in one lake outing (5) And iv never made a -22 in my life. Too cool. One thing im noticing is that it is a little sluggish at 32mph. Could just be me
  16. I just ran my first ever -22 on the second day of riding this ski. AWESOME
  17. Thqt creates a completely different timing experiance before the course. In my mind this is not an improvement of "adding a gate buoy" because it changes the perameters and mechanics for which slalom is done. In my oppinion if a "gate rule change" where to be made it should be less of a "change" and be more of an ammendment. Something like this wont take a year of tournaments to get used to. In my mind i think the 14m buoy proposal is super easy to figure out and it doesnt change the motions drastically at all. It simply amends the current parameters to allow for more forgiveness.
  18. 36.) 34.) Any pointers? Im having some trouble getting my hips forward. My old bad ways are biting back.
  19. Another thing, it doesnt seem to work as well at 32mph compared to the 9900 but at 34 and 36 i can say it easily outperforms
  20. So today was the first time I rode the new syndicate. For my first impression, in rides a little deeper in the water then my 9900. It has CRAZY cross course speed and it has a turn that i havnt really figured out yet. All in all it was a good day of learning, cant wait for tommorow. If i could say one thing it would be: "I ran my Hardest pass on the first try" thats saying something Video will come tonight, 34, and !36! Passes
  21. @Horton From what I could tell, the prophecy may have been your favorite ski ever
  22. I agree skis are so subjective. And all skis made this year have the "ability" to win everything, but I think it is the skiers who truly do the work. I could be wrong, but I bet you with a week or so of practice, nate Smith could equal his practice Average on almost any flagship ski made this year. Maybe I'm justifying the fact that I just switched from goode to HO ;)
  23. I think that garage needs a couple ski boats. Old and new...
