  1. The new bu is amazing at -15 any speed. I'd say it is the best boat at 32 -15 skiing wise (besides our 95 MC) but I am a little biased towards that beauty or a beast... Ahh <3
  2. I think more likely the boat began its turn before going through the next boat guides (instead of turning and not even reaching the guides) would still result in some crazy wacky times.
  3. Water proofing it not only restricts water from coming in but also exiting. When you are done for the day, the inside of the boat better be completely dry before a waterproof cover goes on. It won't allow it to breath and could create mildew.
  4. @SDNAH2OSKIER I have a 1995 mastercraft PS 190 closed bow. It's rated for 9 people (but it would be way more comfortable at 7-8). I know its based on weight but i think an open bow should easily get 9-10 people v-drive or DD.
  5. At state there were a bunch of geese right before the 55s which made me pull out at a different time than I normally do, I got 4 buoys at that pass. At the end of the lake the driver asked me that if the geese were in my way, and altered my run, they would grant me a re ride. I chose to re ride, what I didn't understand was why it was "unprotected" because I went the exact same speed. I went back through without geese and got the same score as before.
  6. I ski behind a 2005 moomba outback about twice a year. I'm not trying to sway your oppinion but with more than two people in the boat, it actually scares me to cross the wake at 15 off/ 34 mph. One side of the wake is always like a curb on a sidewalk. Going over it is a pain, going towards it is downright terrifying. It could just be his boat that is like this.
  7. Awesome! I recently experienced my first shortening in practice and it is actually the best feeling ever! It's like "I'm making REAL progress!!!!" Congrats a d I wish you the best of luck!
  8. Just became an assistant judge! So excited! I want to learn how to score, and I REALLY want to learn how to drive.
  9. Day two: swollen so much I can't fit a spoon in my mouth. Liquid hamburger and liquid brats for dinner! P.S. I'm at the hospital right now because we thought it was infected. They say no...
  10. Head in the water, powershells in the air, ski 5 feet back. This was my last ride of the year for last year. Last day untill it dropped to 40 degrees. Guess that's the best time to fall.
  11. @Brady our lake has runoff of all kinda of pesticides and poison crap (iv heard rumors of multiple sightings of deformed frogs) so I hope your theory holds true!
  12. Exactly! This is finally my first real injury that is associated with bad-assery
  13. Today was awesome i ran my 36 -15 and next went to 34 -22 i thought i was running good, and going towards four after the wake I lost the handle and spun around in a circle. The force of it released me from the ski and I thought sweet I'm good, then crack, the ski smashed onto my face. So I jump onto the platform and sit on the back of the boat as my dad drives back to the dock, blood pouring out of my mouth. At the er I have 6 stitches in one spot, glue in another place. The medallion on the tip of 9900 sl's was ripped off of the ski. Presumably from my mouth.
  14. @Horton This comment on the a3 may compel me to buy one with my lawn mowing money.
  15. I'm on reflex right now. My initial change to hard shells was from Connelly high wrap, RTP to double powershells and the change over was tough, but you have to stick with it if it is something you want to do. Now I am on a reflex front and RTP and I love it. I find that it gives me a better feel for what the ski is doing. And I feel like I am skiing better, partly because of the edge control and because of the increased sense of safety it gives me. (Sorry I'm not in your preferred skill level, but I am a huge advocate for hardshells)
  16. Wonder how much that tower flexes?
  17. I wouldn't want to jump with the current setup ;)
  18. Get a ski that will give you tons of room to grow. I was on a 67 Connelly concept last summer, this summer I am on a 2 year old goode 9900 and I love it, the transition was flawless and it rips.
  19. That is a sick looking ski! It almost looks a little retro.
  20. I would be anxious to shorten the rope to get closer..
  21. Thanks! Ill try that out. Especially the wake crossing drill @32
  22. On the awsa Stuff I saw on Saturday rope length went from -43 to -44
  23. Try to get on a flagship ski from your preferred brand from 2 years ago, you will find great deals on those skis on ski it again and they are awesome skis!
  24. For the most part, I practice #2 in a head, tail, cross, or no wind. This is just my thought.
