  1. No shipping is the catch... An expensive, time consuming catch
  2. @killer please take your negativity away. This is an awesome time in the sport for most all of us. And I don't quite understand your attack on nate.
  3. The '92 mastercraft was arguably one of the best wakes ever. Comparing the two, the 209 will probably have a fierce bump at 22.
  4. I have been faced with not a problem but an irritation, it is just so hard to get this dumb dual lock off of my ski to replace it. Any tricks you all know of or use? Thanks! -Bryan Bailey
  5. @detrick that turned into an add real fast... Hey if it makes you such a good skier.. I might have to try it.!
  6. I havnt been on the water yet but I plan to start this season off switched back to toe plate after last years try at double powershells.
  7. Can you mix a silvretta 404 release with the current boots which come with the silvretta 500 release? I have found a good option for buying plate and release. And I can buy a new reflex boot for like 150$
  8. Also comparing the two boots (reflex vs quantum) what does the flexion brake do for the reflex. Is it worth the extra 30$?
  9. Can the quantum binding be used on a reflex plate with silvretta 500 release?
  10. I am currently on a goode 9900 (can't screw into it) would you guys suggest using dual loc all on the bottom? Is the reflex really a superior system?
  11. I have been skiing on double powershells for a year now, I made the change due to an injury with a one foot In, one foot out situation. And I don't want to leave hard shells anytime soon Although the powershells are good, it seems that everyone is now on reflex and man do I want to at least try them! I would love to change to reflex but wow they are just so expensive. 300+ bucks for a binding/plate/release system is crazy to me (I bought the powershells used for 175 complete) what are your thoughts? Is it something to think about? I also want to get a camaro wetsuit for fall so the skiing fund is low, but what are your opinions on it. Should I at least think about shelling the money out for it? (I am sixteen and I mow lawns.. So I'm for sure not loaded) Thanks -KcSwerver
  12. And I'm going to look back in fifteen years and be able to say I watched the women's world champ since she was on a juniors rope. That's kind of cool. Way to go!!!
  13. Metric or not... The jump is still 2 feet which I think is pretty huge saying that the course is only 37.5 feet from centerline to buoy.
  14. something Im noticing is you initiated your turns more by pushing on the ski then rolling onto edge and letting it carve it's path. I know it's the first run, but deffinately something to keep in mind, it will make the whole action of "skiing" more fluid if the motions are conected not forced. Just my ideas.
  15. Oh man comparing the first video to the third one you gained so much confidence you were really attacking the wake nicely. For being your first batch of one hand drops your right in the right place. Keep it up!
  16. Apparently it's like 2-3 feet low... In Lawrence Kansas
  17. We need to get an image whos severity surpasses the panda. If it exists
  18. I wouldn't say it is "important" to my training but during the winter, what else am I going to do? It helps build muscle and toughens hands. Also it allows people who don't get alot of time on the water to have something remotely close to that before the season arrives.
  19. @horton we are picking up our new to us boat this weekend, but I don't expect to be on the water untill mid may but I would like to hear more about your idea. I really havnt been doing this type of thing that much. Maybe twice a month. My ideas were 1.) to build up some muscle (I have NONE) in my arms and core and tough my hands up a bit. And 2.) I wanted to get in my mind what pulling position is ideal, as I don't get very much water time.
  20. I guess I didn't really mean muscle memory. I'm more interested about becoming comfortable with the feeling and getting back into the groove before the season hits kansas. Shane, excellent description ill Definitely work on this. Iv always read about being balanced over the ski and I got the impression that I was doing a fair job at it but if this is an accurate representation of my skiing maybe I'm not, and this will probably help me.
  21. @horton thanks for the link. That's good wording, I have never been around anyone besides my dad who knows anything about skiing so these articles and @johncox 's picture are invaluable to me.
  22. Thanks for the tips, ill try to be more balanced. I find it much easier to have better body alignment on my off side from the hips up but worse foot and leg placement. And the opposite for on side.
