  1. Just to clarify, you can have only one boot release from the OB4 double boot system in some instances, but if there is any rotational force or dragging on the ski that would cause any injury, the second boot would also release once your release setting was exceeded. Resulting in no injury!! That is the point anyway... @kfennell‌ is correct... Also of note, I have skied all summer with no problems from the original bolt/washer setup. If you need it, try @Than_Bogan‌ setup...or Loctite, seems the screws may work loose from flexing of the boot... Also I have other solutions if needed. @Edbrazil‌ thirty years behind because there is thirty time less money in water skiing...
  2. @skidawg‌ just click on our ad banner to go to our website, contact info there. @kfennell‌ dozens of skiers of all different levels are using the OB4 System, and the number is growing.
  3. @BraceMaker‌ @SBFL‌ if one boot of the OB4 system releases, it is because of a force sufficient to cause release, that same force is applied to the other boot also causing release. If there is no force acting on the second boot, then there can be no injury. I have never had only one boot release in a fall. As for crushing OTF falls, the OB4 does release, based on first hand experience. It takes an extremely high force to tear your Achilles, and the OB4 will release in every direction at a lesser force.
  4. @usaski1‌ Cool video! Thanks for sharing Mark. Glad you and Holly made it out, sorry I didn't get to visit with you much, I was a little busy!
  5. The boots screw through the bottom of the boot into inserts in the middle of the ski, in a pattern similar to a wakeboard. Thses are prototypes.... The ski itself is wider in the front, like the S2, narrow in the tail like the A3.
  6. @MattP‌ I have your size now, change after Nationals... @Chef23‌ I have been using my semi soft shell for a year now with no problems. But I think everyone will like the new shells and liners. @Nick Sullivan‌ they are easily customized. Plenty of product, including the liners and shells at Nationals. Discount to everyone who buys at Nationals.
  7. @Greg Lukin‌ sorry for the delay, I did answer your messages, hope you got that by now. It's a website problem involving international addresses and we are working on it. @OB‌ is correct, very busy with far too many irons in the fire! Hope to see everybody who can get there at Nationals next week. We will have plenty of product to sell including the new shells and liners!
  8. @usaski1‌ great job Mark! Look forward to seeing you ski in Texas and then at Whitestone Lake for the WSDA Nationals!
  9. It is T6 6061 aluminum. And stainless steel. She ment aircraft grade aluminum.
  10. OB4 has hard shell and semi hard boots that will fit you.
  11. OB4 has a replacement liner available that will fit a lot of different hard shells, information on our website soon.
  12. @ScarletArrow‌ that is not an OB4 flaw, just requires thicker foot pad or riser if you use a rtp... Easy to resolve.
  13. @scotchipman‌ & @Than_Bogan‌ , the OB4 mounting plate is thinner and more flexible than either G10 or carbon fiber, I have both... As for letting the plate float, all the screw holes are slotted so you can let it float. The addition of a micro adjust attachment point helps. Additional overall weight or swing weight is minimal compared to rubber bindings. As for the overall flex of the skis, they are designed with the addition of bindings and plates in consideration, so effect on the performance is negligible...
  14. All the OB4 plates are the same size so that they are all interchangable. This does leave some plate extending past the smaller boots. Making a smaller boot plate would require additional inventory expense and an additional set of holes to change the position of the spring housing. If demand is there...
  15. On the OB4 system, once the release pressure is exceeded for one boot, it is also exceeded for the other. Both feet come off. Just last week, i had a rare crushing out the front @'35 off, both boots released as expected. I have never had only one boot release!
  16. @webbdawg99‌ M1-4 slalom is on Sunday.
  17. The OB4 plate hole pattern matches the HO EXO hole pattern exactly, and should also match Connelly and D3, with the additional slots we have. However, sometimes in manufacturing, not all inserts end up in the correct spot or straight. Goode should put their inserts in the same pattern as everyone else so that binding choice is not an issue. Using the dual lock raises the plate off the ski. Height off the plate is a concern to some skiers and has an effect on edge to edge leverage. And while it could work, if the OB4 system releases along with the dual lock, you will lose the plate and release mechanism. Use 3M Auto Trim along with screw inserts that match to avoid adding inserts.
  18. @gregy‌ yes, we will have a booth at Nationals, and i look forward to showing the OB4 System to you and everyone else. @gator1‌ extremely unlikely that our release would not release in any type OTF fall, the problem is having both feet on one plate... See you at Nationals.
  19. Interesting thought lines here. However with the combination of torque and heel lift, the OB4 system will release. You should not have the release tension set at a pressure that exceeds the tear strength of your Achilles' tendon. Individual release plates proved to be most reliable with less stress in testing. No OB4-M needed.
  20. @Rico226‌ bring me those boots anyway, I have new buckles. And I can show how we can use those boots on the OB4 system even if you don't want to try it...
  21. @gregy you are correct in you thoughts about OB4, they will release in that situation. Both feet on one plate is a problem.
  22. @MattP‌ I should have boot shells and liners from a new supplier soon, hopefully the product samples will be shipped this week... The current semi soft shells will still be available, also. We will be at the Big Dawg event this weekend, come check us out...
