  1. I just read this whole thread and I'm very intrigued. This is not the first time this has been thrown my way. I have received numerous emails indicating the need for allowing practice scores, and at the recent WSIA summit there was an in depth discussion that we need to find a format that appeals to the Saturday morning group of guys that are not going to spend a weekend at a tournament. @Chef23 boy did you hit it on the head with this paragraph. I don't have any idea of the actual numbers but I would guess there are thousands if not tens of thousands of people in the US that ski the course but don't have a ranking average. Access to the ranking lists for "home" scores included with the base USA Waterski membership might help spur membership and interest. So lets discuss how we could really do this: 1) With the new $19.95 membership, this base price could be the membership level that allows you to enter "practice scores" 2) We currently have class F/GR, $40 sanction fee, all you need is a trained driver and safety...is that too much? would this just be the sanction these practice scores would be entered under or do we need even more relax conditions. 3) We already allow class F scores up to L5 4) If class F is too much regulation than how would practice scores be entered, any proof? tricks would be easy as we could have volunteers call runs, but slalom a little tougher although a video would suffice, would the video have to be contigious, no turning off and on? 5) I agree with what all have said in the fact that who cares if someone qualifies for regional on practice scores, they have to show up and proof it but the way we do our rankings it would be an issue b/c we have guys right now that rank top 5-10 and never show up at reg/nat and I dont think we would want someone to win rankings via practice scores so if we do this then we have to finally weight our rankings to have a formula that gives more weight to scores done at big events? So how can we make this work?
  2. Wild tournament, over 10,000 pts, 9 rounds of jump, Freddy Winter misses semi finals, Jacinta wins mens series 3 night jump. Horton finishes top 10. VT Skier takes home the fantasy championships. Next event is Swiss Pro May 13th.
  3. I don’t have a Score for Dodd in rd 1 of night jump. Did he get a bye or something ?
  4. @ntx fixed. Entered her meters in the feet field.
  5. Anyone have night jump and night slalom scores, I do not see them on worldwaterskiers or iwwfed, need them for FWS, if they have them posted on site can someone take a screenshot for us, thank you
  6. @Horton He wont be for long, we had 3 teams overdraft due to the Joel Poland and Erika Lang errors, I'm just waiting on my programmer to deduct the appropriate pts. He will be loosing 177.46 pts
  7. Leaderboard after day 2. Horton looking good!
  8. @Bill22 Jacinta has not tricked yet so once she does then we can compute a FWS overall score, i guess i could score a running overall total but figured just wait until they complete all 3 events
  9. Top 20 after Day 1-Horton doing well, Whitney doesn't jump, could cost everyone some overall points!
  10. @klindy if there is one programming change we get done for this spring I think that is the one!
  11. Drafts close at 6pm CST, come and play. Watch the pros!
  12. @Youd270 should be fine. Drafts close at 6 pm 3/8 CST. I just tested it seems to be working ?
  13. @MISkier if you renew before it will just remain as is for 12 months and then when you renew next time it will be under the current system. You will be active under each system whether it gets converted to a license or not, pretty much the same thing for active skiers, to be honest if you renew before the new system its $4.95 cheaper so renew now. The new system is really geared towards recreational skiers
  14. for salaries I simply went off IWSF rankings and reversed engineered the ranking score to FWS pts. So MJ feet times *600. There is no rhyme or reason to the 600 to be honest. WJ was ranking times 600 also, slalom was buoy count ranking average times 1200 figuring ms slalom about 115 buoys and men jump 230 so it was just a way to make each event somewhat even. Tricks is score divided by 100 times 1200. What I basically did was tried to make a 230 jump equal to 1 @ 41, equal to 11,000 in tricks for men, and similar proportion for women. What I'd like to do is start to factor in skiers FWS pts into their salary value, meaning some skiers might have a good IWWF ranking but not be a good FWS skier. There is definitely a strategy do winning, the winners of every FWS event so far have all had a similar theme.
  15. @skibackwards maybe I should sell extra cap space for real money?
  16. @aupatking @Bill22 Sorry gents, had some hiccups on our end, little rusty from the off season :) Horton is going with the theory of drafting no MT and loading up the other events, will be interesting to see if the theory works. By US Masters we should have the ability to form private conferences so we can have a BOS conference leaderboard.
  17. Trying to get some more advancements into the WSTIMS scoring system to accommodate those hosting ability based events as well as handicapped events. We need to pick 1 or 2 main formats and use them in the scoring system so running orders and scoring are easy and instant. So if you host one of these type events please share how you do it. What division breakdown do you use for ability based? what type of handicap do you use, more specifically how do you come up with skiers averages and then how do you score skiers against that average? Thanks
  18. there is for FWS, not moomba, so we are going to take rd 1 scores from all overall skiers (not many) and have overall for FWS players at least.
  19. Lets see how many people can beat Horton :)
  20. One of the biggest events of the year is here, Moomba Masters, 3 rounds of slalom, trick, and jump plus a night jump and night slalom, tons of points, and if Moomba is not doing overall FWS is going to do it so you will pick 1 men and 1 women overall skier plus 2 MS, 2 WS, 2 MT, 2 WT, 2 MJ, and 2WJ, 14 total athletes with a salary cap of $1,585,208. We will use round 1 for the overall score if Moomba does not post overall scores. https://www.moombamasters.com.au/ Moomba Masters www.moombamasters.com.au The Victorian Water Ski Association President and Directors extend a warm welcome to 2018 Moomba Masters Competitors and Junior Moomba competitors, http://www.fantasy.ski/Account/Login
  21. Is there overall for Moomba Masters?
