  1. We have opened drafting back up so if you still want to make changes or you did not get a chance to draft because it was past the deadline you can still do so, in fact, you can make changes at anytime, but skiers who have already skied will not be draftable.
  2. Slalom: Nate Smith & Regina Jaquess Trick: Adam Pickos & Anna Gay Jump: Ryan Dodd & Jacinta Carrol Overall: Adam Sedlmajer & Regina Jaquess Team: USA
  3. Btw your drafts have to be entered by midnight Monday mountain time as the worlds start at 8 am in Paris.
  4. I was afraid the 1.5 million would be too high. We'll see how it goes. What I did was took the average of drafting the #8 #9 skier in each event to get 1.5. Slalom skiers have pretty high values pretty far down the list in tricks and jump. I think b/c the buoy counts are so close
  5. I'm running a beta test of Fantasy Waterskiing at the Open Worlds. Like fantasy football but with water skiing. If you want to play and give some feedback go to http://www.fantasy.ski and register for free, enter tournament, and draft a team. Each team gets $1,500,000 in salary cap to draft 2 MS, 2 WS, 2 MT, 2 WT, 2 WJ, and 2 MJ. Prelims and finals count. Each buoy is worth 2 FWS points, each trick worth .2 FWS points, and each jump foot worth 1 FWS point. Winner gets a free USAwaterski membership for 2018! Please keep in mind this is a beta version so design and features are limited but we hope to improve them based on your feedback. Let us know what you think!
  6. @Nando what a good weight and length to start with for the counterweight? this sounds great but I can't believe the same weight would work at different levels.
  7. After 20 years underwater our subfloats and ropes down to anchors are at the end of the life. We are looking to replace all 101 of them next spring and wanted to see what are some great buoy adjusting systems being used out there. We had the standard PVC pipe adjuster which worked great but the rope wears thin after a decade or so and they loose their ability to adjust the buoys. So if anyone has a system that works easy and last long let us know or put up some pics. lakes are 8 feet deep. Thanks
  8. @MarcusBrown Great video Marcus, I think it had over 30k views on facebook, that's great. Can not believe you edited it all that fast but thank you.
  9. @John Brooks spot on John, very well said. "Change nothing and nothing changes". Let's try it, if it fails it fails, at least we know what works and doesn't. People lost their minds over ZBS and it turned out to be a good thing. If we can make elite great again, perhaps our sport keeps moving in a positive direction. The main reason skiers do not want to ski elite is that the age division is more prestigious to win b/c that is where the competition is, perhaps if elite has 20-30 skiers and we highlight them as the main event, then L9 and L10 becomes a goal and everyone will want to be there. As long as we have these elite ability based division then L10 or some form of it is needed, you can not have an ability based division and give skiers a choice, that defeats the entire purpose so unless we get rid of them then L10 should be tried. But this only works if L10 and elite divisions becomes a big deal. NCWSA has nailed this, we have built a atmosphere where teams would rather get last in D1 than win D2, its beautiful, this same concept is a must for L10 to work.
  10. @Razorskier1 @Zman The cutoff date for 2018 nationals was moved from 4 weeks before nationals to the week after the previous Nationals if an effort to give skier ample travel time and to establish an EP like system where skiers know what they need to qualify, this all the talk about cutoff dates on this post.
  11. @brettmainer not an average, its a rating, if achieved once you are L10
  12. @LeonL Fixed. You are ranked #14 now with 85.5 buoy average
  13. @LeonL Let me look into that Leon, This is the first cycle of ZBS as we shift in rankings years so looks like its not handling that correctly. I would assume this was the case even this past year, surprised no one caught that. @MISkier those scores at the bottom are not set, although there is a good chance they will not chance as soon as we get this COD finalized. Let me know said skiers name and I will make sure he is qualified should the COA shift here in a few days Good catch on the FAQ, we will update those as well.
