  1. We typically like the air to be 50 to ski....water after ice out is cold, 35 or so, cooler of hot water is a must. A spring tradition is the "Ice out Double Double" snow ski in the morning and water ski in the afternoon, good stuff!
  2. I voted March, but would have voted "ice out" if it was an option......
  3. Hmmm, I suppose now @FWinter will carry more speed into the ball
  4. A huge thanks to @wskierman8 @nleuth and @smilinjim for making WWL possible and another fantastic ski league season! Team Roc City Swervers had a blast, thanks also to @Web our team Captain for keeping us organized. I am also encouraging my team to stick to a strict training regimen in the off season.......12 and 16oz curls........no rest for the liver!!!
  5. I love the glass, but ski better with "grip ripples"
  6. 7. Awesome, Thank you @MattP ! I will reach out to @"bf`"
  8. Hello ballers, our family is spending next week in Duck NC as a last hurrah before the kids go back to school, and I am wondering if I should bring ski......any courses/ lakes in that area? I am happy to pay for a set with gas cash, Ipa's and boat crew entertainment watching me hack my way through the course! Any info is appreciated
  9. Thank you all! I will check out Gabriel Garcia @DGravelle I am in upstate NY, Rochester area, will re post and let u k ow how I make out
  10. So glad I saw this thread, thank you @skiinxs ! I have always used rotella t and would have just blindly kept using it had I not seen this! Went to my local auto parts store and found that Valvoline 15w40 has the SN rating so am using that for this oil change
  11. I am in need of new vinyl skins for the 2 rear locker hatches on my 07 Malibu RLXI......where should I start looking? Any help is appreciated!
  12. One last tip: when you purchase your course i highly recommend you and your crew take it out in your backyard and install the gates and 1-2 turn ball arms so you can get familiarized with how everything works before u try it in the boat, will save u some aggravation.
  13. EZ Slalom is a great course, Ed is awesome to work with, we have a poly mainline EZ course we install weekly all season and it's held up well (it's about 6-7 years old), with minor maintenance (mostly replacing balls or bungees if the get a handle snag etc) spend the extra money and get the pre gates, well worth it. When u first install it u will be getting used to it and it will take longer, prob 45min, but after u develop a system we budget 30 min for both install and removal each. 20 min is possible if there's no wind and u know what your doing. I hope this helps!
  14. Here is a pic of mine (sorry, not a very good one)
  15. @"h2o.nhk" I have the Tower Bimini with all aluminum struts which is very high quality , quiet and stable, but would agree that if u are looking for a lighter more collapsible Bimini the units with the straps may be better for u
  16. Tower Bimini does a great job
  17. Roc City Swervers apre ski
  18. Skied tonight with my team for Wednesday Waterski League at Hidden Pass in Penfield NY.........it didn't suck
  19. I also skied with Wade at HP, great guy, great coach! My 15 yo son sat in the boat with him shooting video and shooting the breeze about life, LAX, and the pursuit of happiness My favorite Wade quote after watching my gate shot: "Sam, you left alot of chicken on that bone"
  20. Awesome, I am totally stoked for Wednesday Water Ski 2017!
  21. So relieved to hear the surgery went well, all the best Ty, prayers for you and your family

    carpet

My personal experience with a pressure washer in a previous boat: worked great for cleaning the carpets but you have to be very careful where you aim the jet spray, I got a little off and ended up with a cut in the vinyl, I was so distraught I never did it again. I now just clean and scrub by hand, use a hose to rinse and then use a wet/dry shop vac to remove all the excess water.

    carpet

After you shampoo the carpet, follow up with a solution of fabric softener, conditions the carpet and makes the boat smell great! (Learned this trick right here on good old BOS)
